For year’s end, we’re happy to share an exciting and fascinating presentation that was recently featured on the Catholic Family Podcast with host Kevin Davis.

The guest on this particular episode, released on Nov. 14, 2023, was Dominic from the Maccabean Uprising web site. In this presentation, he demonstrates in summary fashion that the history of the Catholic Church bears striking resemblance to the history of the Old Covenant.

The sedevacantist St. Jude Shrine in Stafford, Texas, has released the following announcement:

Father Louis Campbell died peacefully today, 18 December, at 12:40 pm CST accompanied by many caretakers who were saying the Rosary at the time he expired. Funeral arrangements are being made and a funeral date will be announced within the coming days. We are most fortunate to have a priest coming soon who will be able to bury Father. Please pray for the repose of the soul of Father Campbell, whose service to God has been nothing short of heroic.

On June 30, 2023, the semi-traditionalist flagship publication The Remnant published a brief article entitled “Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre’s Vision of the Great Mystery of the Church’s Passion”. Its author is Robert Morrison, a writer we have had occasion to critique a number of times before on this blog and in our podcast program.

In this post we will touch on a few things from that article that appear to call for some sedevacantist reaction. Morrison writes:

Under the title “Harvesting the Fruit of Vatican II”, he published a “faith formation series” and used to give lectures on the “authentic teachings” of the council, in a spirit of that fabled “hermeneutic of continuity and reform”. On July 14, 1958, Pope Pius XII released the encyclical letter Meminisse Iuvat, on the Persecuted Church. It was his last encyclical and thus the last such document from a true Pope for the time being.
