A devastating rebuttal…

Mullarkey’s Malarkey: Novus Ordo Blogger affirms “First Among Equals” Heresy

A lot of people these days rush to blog about Catholic theology despite not having much of a clue. (The anonymous Mundabor is a stellar example in this regard.) Instead of bothering to look up what the actual Catholic teaching is on this or that topic, people like to simply go by what seems right to them — which saves them hours of research but exposes their hapless readers to being misled on matters pertaining to their eternal salvation.

A recent example of this can be seen in the case of Maureen Mullarkey, formerly a writer for the Novus Ordo publication First Things.… READ MORE

Historical Precedent for a “Heretical” Pope?

In Brief: The Facts on Pope John XXII

At a time when countless supposed “traditional Catholics” don’t think twice about accusing an unquestionably true Pope of the past of teaching heresy or at least grave doctrinal error, it behooves us to remind everyone that instead of simply believing whatever you see posted on a blog somewhere, the safer course is to simply look the stuff up. It’s not like these questions never came up before or that no clear answer was ever put forward.

Where to look it up? Look it up where any Catholic priest would have looked it up before Vatican II: in the most recent dogmatic theology manuals approved by the Church.

First Novus Ordo Bishop to question Francis’ legitimacy

Retired “Bishop” of Corpus Christi:
‘Francis might be an Antipope!’

It has finally happened: A Novus Ordo bishop has announced that he suspects that Francis is not in fact a true Pope.

We are talking about René Henry Gracida, the retired “bishop” of the diocese of Corpus Christi, Texas. Yes, he is officially a part of the Vatican II Church, and he is in good standing to boot. You can find information about him on the diocesan web site here. We are clearly not talking about some whacko whom the Novus Ordo Sect doesn’t recognize or approve of.

José Galat dismantles Jorge Bergoglio

Colombian TV Personality exposes Francis’ Heresies

Some truly refreshing news from Colombia: A famous academic, author, political consultant, and media mogul has denounced Francis as a false pope and exposed many of his heresies on live public television. This happened before Francis set foot on the nation’s soil.

We are talking about Dr. José Galat Noumer (b. 1928), who is well known not only in Colombia but throughout the Spanish-speaking world. Galat, who studied political science, law, sociology, and philosophy, was a consultant for Colombian presidents Carlos Lleras Restrepo and Misael Pastrana Borrero from 1966 to 1974, and was president of the private La Gran Colombia University in Bogotá from 1981 to 2017.

Bombshell revelation…

Dr. Peter Chojnowski: ‘By late 2014, Fr. Gruner had come to believe Francis is an Antipope, Benedict XVI the true Pope’

[UPDATE 09-AUG-2017 20:36 UTC: Dr. Chojnowski posts more evidence on his blog]

[UPDATE 08-AUG-2017 19:02 UTC: Verrecchio publishes Rare Video of “Fr.” Gruner on Benedict XVI’s Resignation]

[UPDATE 08-AUG-2017 13:31 UTC: “Fr.” Paul Kramer corroborates Chojnowski claim]

This is sure to shake things up a bit among the friends and followers of the late “Fr.” Nicholas Gruner (1942-2015), long-time director of the Fatima Center in Fort Eerie, Canada: According to Dr. Peter Chojnowski, the “Fatima priest” Nicholas Gruner towards the end of his life rejected Francis’ claim to the Papacy and embraced the idea that Benedict XVI was still the true Pope — a position we have labeled from the beginning as “Resignationism”.

Semi-Trads trip over the Papacy…

The Stumbling Block of the Papacy:
Why Bergoglio doesn’t fit

At the dictation of the Holy Ghost, the first Pope, St. Peter, wrote concerning his Lord and Master Jesus Christ:

…it is said in the scripture [Is 28:16]: Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious. And he that shall believe in him, shall not be confounded. To you therefore that believe, he is honour: but to them that believe not, the stone which the builders rejected, the same is made the head of the corner: And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of scandal, to them who stumble at the word, neither do believe, whereunto also they are set.

The soap opera continues…

“Cardinal” Müller Piles On, says Benedict XVI “Disappointed” at his Dismissal

The German press is abuzz today with regard to some explosive comments made by “Cardinal” Gerhard Ludwig Müller in a new interview with the Deutsche Presse-Agentur, the German quivalent of the American Associated Press. Muller is the former head of the Vatican’s Unholy Office (the Modernist Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith), who, despite his track record as a Modernist heretic, was dismissed from his position by “Pope” Francis on July 1, presumably because Francis does not tolerate Modernists who oppose adultery.

Novus Ordo Canon Lawyer: Benedict XVI is being brought into position as Antipope to Francis

It’s a clever ruse because… they’re both Antipopes!

[UPDATE 18-JUL-2017 15:53 UTC: Ganswein denies Benedict meant to criticize Francis]

The fallout from “Pope Emeritus” Benedict XVI’s remarks at the funeral of “Cardinal” Joachim Meisner continues. If the initial reports were enough to makes waves, what is being reported now has the potential to turn into a tsunami.

A German Novus Ordo canon lawyer has gone on record accusing Benedict XVI’s private secretary, “Abp.” Georg Gänswein, of bringing the so-called “Pope Emeritus” into position as Antipope vis-à-vis Francis.

Setting the record straight…

The Case of Pope Honorius I

These days, recognize-and-resist adherents are in an extremely difficult spot: They can no longer deny the horrendous public apostasy perpetrated by Jorge Bergoglio (“Pope Francis”) on a near-daily basis, yet they absolutely refuse to consider even as a possibility the idea that the greatest apostate the world has ever known is not at the same time the Vicar of Christ and head of the infallible and indefectible Roman Catholic Church.

Time and again, therefore, they are eager to find historical precedent for their position, and few things seem to please them more than to find, ostensibly, a “heretical Pope” in Church history they can point to in support of their stance.

The Primacy and Infallibility of the Sovereign Pontiffs: The Case of Pope Honorius I

FOREWORD

At the beginning of January of this year (1873), I was called upon to give a public course on Church history at Laval University. The subject was left to my choosing. Knowing from the experience I had acquired during my studies at the Roman College how useful it is to throw light on numerous historical questions debated in our times, and upon which so many clouds continue to hover; knowing, on the other hand, that the divine prerogatives of the primacy and the infallibility of the Sovereign Pontiffs have been and continue to be the object of the most violent attacks, I believed it necessary to choose this topic, to lay down the facts as clearly and as succinctly as possible, and to thereby show the fulfillment of Jesus Christ’s promises in the annals of history.

SSPX Bp. Fellay laments Vatican Turnabout:
“It’s like in the Game of the Goose”

Poor Bishop Bernard Fellay! The Superior General of the Society of St. Pius X had worked so hard to get his adherents all lined up to be led by the hand into the mouth of the wolf known as “full communion” with the Vatican II Sect, under “Pope” Francis no less.

To attain this goal, he had gone to great lengths:

A Dangerous Experiment:

Taking Francis’ Claim to the Papacy Seriously

Ladies and gentlemen, the following experiment is going to be extremely dangerous. Please put on your goggles, protective gloves, and a breathing mask to minimize the hazardous material you will be exposed to. We’re going to do the unthinkable: For a few minutes, we’re going to take Francis’ claim to being the Pope of the Catholic Church seriously! We will simply square the circle and pretend for a short while that the apostate Jesuit Jorge Bergoglio is actually the Vicar of Jesus Christ on earth! The purpose of this highly toxic experiment will be to demonstrate the consequences that would follow from this absurd supposition.

Does Vatican I disprove Sedevacantism?

The “Perpetual Successors” Objection

After the objection that “you guys are just a bunch of Protestants!!”, probably the most frequently-made argument against Sedevacantism is that our position contradicts the teaching of the First Vatican Council that St. Peter will have “perpetual successors”. If there hasn’t been a true Pope in decades, how then can we maintain that there is a perpetual succession of Popes?

We have addressed this argument on this site before, but a dedicated post on the issue is in order.

Our response will be twofold. We will demonstrate that (1) the objection from perpetual successors is actually based on a misunderstanding of the teaching of Vatican I; (2) even if the objection were not based on a misunderstanding, it would still not refute the sedevacantist position.

French SSPX in Disarray as District Superior tries to defend Removal of seven “Rebellious” Priests, Commotion at St. Nicolas in Paris

[UPDATE 19-MAY-2017 18:32 UTC: English translation of Contre-Info article added.]

As we reported on May 11, seven deans of the Lefebvrian Society of St. Pius X’s French district were removed from their positions by the district superior, Fr. Christian Bouchacourt, after disseminating and reading from the pulpit a public letter explaining their rejection of the Vatican’s recent overtures on the celebration of SSPX marriages. The open letter, which was condemned by Fr. Bouchacourt the very same day, also made clear that the seven recalcitrant SSPX priests in question are not willing to go along with any reconciliation with Modernist Rome which the Superior General, Bp.

The 7 French deans and other priests who joined them

[Update: An English translation of the French deans’ letter has just been released by The Remnant. Also: The seven SSPX clerics in question were not mere priors, as we had previously reported, but deans, that is, heads of deaneries, which are larger geographical subdivisions containing groupings of priories. We have updated the post accordingly.]
