Big news out of the Vatican today, although not unexpected.

The extrajudicial trial for schism against ‘Archbishop’ Carlo Maria Viganò (b. 1941), which the Novus Ordo Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith began on June 20, 2024, has come to its expected end. Today the Vatican’s Bollettino published the following statement:

Podcast: Vatican versus Viganò
(TRADCAST EXPRESS 194)

Our latest podcast episode, TRADCAST EXPRESS 194, was published on June 24, 2024, and it covers mostly the Vatican’s announced extrajudicial trial against ‘Archbishop’ Carlo Maria Viganò for the crime of schism, as we had reported back on June 20:

In this episode, we do the unthinkable and apply some Vatican II ecclesiology to the case at hand, which leads us to ask some curious questions.

If indeed Viganò is a schismatic…

  • does that mean he will now get invited to ecumenical gatherings?

Lucía Caram Padilla (b. 1966) is an Argentine Dominican nun living in Barcelona, Spain. She has a history of making heretical, blasphemous, or otherwise scandalous remarks and is a living reminder to the world that simply wearing a religious habit does not make one Catholic, holy, or even just basically decent.

For example, in 2017 Sister Lucia said on Spanish television: “I think Mary was in love with Joseph and that they were a normal couple – and having sex is a normal thing.… READ MORE

Norms for Proceeding in the Discernment
of Alleged Supernatural Phenomena

May 17, 2024

The Vatican’s text factory has just released another official document: Jorge Bergoglio (a.k.a. ‘Pope Francis’) has approved the publication of an instruction issued by the so-called Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) establishing ‘Norms for Proceeding in the Discernment of Alleged Supernatural Phenomena’. The document does not appear to have an official title besides this descriptive one. The new guidelines are replacing those issued in 1978 under ‘Pope’ Paul VI.

So far, the Vatican has made the text of the Norms available in the following languages:

The key changes made by the new Norms appear to be that the local bishop no longer has authority to declare an alleged apparition to be of supernatural origin, and the Vatican will ordinarily not rule regarding its supernatural authenticity either.… READ MORE

[UPDATE 13-MAY-2024: Vincentians release letter with ‘apology’ of sorts by Rev. Williams]

Video footage has emerged showing a Novus Ordo priest officiating a same-sex ceremony mocking the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony. He is shown presiding over an exchange of vows of two women and then conferring a blessing on them.

This is not a matter of rumor or speculation. The identity of all parties is known, and the presbyter has admitted that the ceremony took place.

Infinite Human Dignity? A Look at the Mixed Reactions to the Latest DDF Declaration

With its release of the declaration Dignitas Infinita on Apr. 8, 2024, the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Destruction of the Faith has added more fuel to the fire of disagreement and confusion that has been raging in the Vatican II Church.

From all sides, reactions have been pouring in, and they vary widely, even within the various ideological groups. From the new document being hailed as a “dramatic” statement that is nothing short of a “masterpiece” to it being “quite possibly the most wicked statement possible” on the subject, any and all opinions are represented in the spectrum.… READ MORE

Declaration Dignitas Infinita
on Human Dignity

April 2, 2024

The Vatican’s text factory has just released another ‘magisterial’ document: Jorge Bergoglio (a.k.a. ‘Pope Francis’) has approved the publication of another declaration issued by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF). It bears the name Dignitas Infinita (“Infinite Dignity”) and concerns itself with the topic of human dignity, specifically in view of various moral issues of our time. The last declaration issued by the DDF was Fiducia Supplicans, which permitted the administering of blessings on same-sex ‘couples’.… READ MORE

Bergoglio’s mug graces the cover of Credere magazine (Feb. 8, 2024 edition)

The Vatican’s chief anti-Catholic agitator has given another interview to the press.

We are speaking of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, of course, the Jesuit from Buenos Aires who has been squatting in the Vatican guest house under his stage name ‘Pope Francis’ since 2013.

At one point in the increasingly-distant past, a ‘papal’ interview was considered a spectacular and almost unique event. Now they’re a dime a dozen, as Bergoglio cranks them out faster than people can digest them.… READ MORE

Another Scandalous Fernández Book Unearthed:
DDF Prefect Published Blasphemous Porn in 1998

There are news stories so sordid that no decent person wants to cover them. Then there are news stories so significant that there’s no way one can ignore them.

This current one is a mix of both, so please be forewarned:

The remainder of the post, including any links, may include explicit words or ideas that pertain to human sexuality and/or involve blasphemy.

In 1998, then-‘Fr.’ Victor Manuel Fernandez, today the prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, published a book on spirituality and erotic love that is so sexually explicit/pornographic that it makes his 1995 book Heal Me With Your Mouth look like a chastity manual by comparison.… READ MORE

UTTER CHAOS:
Surveying the Landscape after ‘Fiducia Supplicans’

When in 2016 ‘Pope’ Francis released the so-called Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia, great confusion and drawn-out debates over its interpretation followed. Did the document really permit people who live in open adultery to receive Holy Communion without repentance? Yes, it did, but not everyone was willing to accept that that was indeed what the ‘Pope’ was saying. We chronicled the civil war in Novus Ordo Land over this document here:

A similar thing happened in 2018, when Francis decided that the death penalty, clearly approved by God in both the Old and New Testaments as well as Sacred Tradition and the perennial magisterial teaching of the Church, was now “inadmissible” and “contrary to the Gospel”, and revised the so-called Catechism of the Catholic Church accordingly:

What just happened this past Monday with regard to the blessing of couples ‘in irregular situations’, especially sodomites, however, will make the Amoris Laetitia and capital punishment battles look like child’s play by comparison.… READ MORE

Vatican Allows Blessings of ‘Irregular’ Couples:
An Initial Commentary and Analysis

The Dicastery for the Destruction of the Faith’s declaration Fiducia Supplicans, officially approved by ‘Pope’ Francis and published on Dec. 18, 2023, has hit the Novus Ordo Church like a nuclear bomb:

At the moment, ‘Catholic’ experts (and wannabe experts) are busy discussing what the document means, but not only that. As usual, there is disagreement even on what the document says. No one causes chaos like Chaos Frank — and just before Christmas, to boot!

Although we are still working on a substantial analysis of Fiducia Supplicans for our readers, for the moment we can at least present a brief and somewhat cursory commentary as we try to juggle all of the following at the same time: (a) stay on top of the latest developments; (b) collect and parse the major reactions that have been flooding in; (c) analyze the content of the document; (d) compile an intelligent, documented commentary on it.… READ MORE

Good One! Vatican Doctrinal Office Reiterates Ban on Catholics Becoming Freemasons

This past Monday, Nov. 13, the Vatican’s doctrinal office, headed by ‘Pope’ Francis’ theological undertaker ‘Cardinal’ Victor Manuel Fernandez, published a document reiterating that Catholics are forbidden from joining the Freemasons.

More technically, it was an instruction of the so-called Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) “regarding the best pastoral approach to membership in Freemasonry by the Catholic faithful” in response to a request by ‘Bishop’ Julito Buhisan Cortes (b. 1956) of the diocese of Dumaguete, Philippines.

As the note is rather brief, we will quote it here in full:

Recently, His Excellency, the Most Rev.

Vatican Opens Way for Transgender Godparents, Baptisms, and Marriage Witnesses

Godfather or godmother? Vatican allows transgender godparents at baptisms…

Once again, breaking news out of Rome.

Once again, the so-called Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith has given answers to so-called dubia, which are questions (“doubts”) submitted to it concerning a point of doctrine or practice to be resolved.

Once again, the prefect, ‘Cardinal’ Victor Manuel Fernandez of ‘mouth-healing’ infamy, wrote the response and had it personally approved by ‘Pope’ Francis, whose signature appears at the end.

And once again, the text of the response is ambiguous and nuanced enough to where both proponents and opponents of transgender inclusion can quote the document in their favor.… READ MORE
