Reportedly “at complete odds with each other”…

Vatican Journalist:
“Francis and Benedict no longer on Speaking Terms”

Andreas Englisch is Germany’s most celebrated Vatican insider and “papal” biographer. In a lecture given on March 16, 2017 in Limburg (the diocesan headquarters where Benedict appointee “Bishop” Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst was removed by Francis in 2014), Englisch made some explosive claims about the relationship between the “Pope” and the “Pope Emeritus”: The two men are at complete odds with each other and are no longer on speaking terms; Benedict XVI only makes a public appearance when Francis orders him to, according to Englisch.

New book released…

Benedict XVI:
“No One Tried to Blackmail Me”

“I would not have allowed it”

And the drama continues!

Tomorrow, September 9, Peter Seewald’s last interview book with Joseph Ratzinger (“Pope Emeritus” Benedict XVI) will hit the shelves in Germany. It is entitled Letzte Gespräche (“Final Conversations”). It will appear in English translation on November 3 under the title Last Testament: In His Own Words.

Some articles have appeared in the German and English press giving a preview of the book’s contents. One of the topics Seewald discusses with Benedict XVI, of course, is his resignation. Here are the excerpts of two news blurbs dealing with what Benedict says concerning his resignation:

…he dismissed speculation he may have been blackmailed or pressured into retiring.

Bizarre claims in new Interview

Benedict XVI on why he resigned:

benedict-resigns.jpg

‘I couldn’t take the Jet Lag I would get from traveling to World Youth Day!’

The bizarre spectacle that is the aftermath of Benedict XVI’s resignation first announced on Feb. 11, 2013, continues unabated. After recent absurd claims that Benedict XVI had not “fully” resigned from the papacy but was still a “contemplative member” of a “two-tier” Petrine office, today we are getting word that the main reason Benedict decided to throw in the towel was the stressful travel to World Youth Day in Rio. Riiight.

In an exclusive interview conducted by Elio Guerriero and published Wednesday, Aug.

Barnhardt goes Resignationist…

Ann Barnhardt dumps Francis, seeks Refuge in Benedict XVI

ann-barnhardt.jpg

She’s finally figured it out: Francis cannot be the Pope of the Catholic Church. The outspoken colorful controversialist Ann Barnhardt has announced on her web site that she can no longer hold that Francis is or ever was a true Pope, the Vicar of Christ. The reason for Miss Barnhardt’s change of mind is found in the very opening paragraphs of her blog post:

It is now clear to me, and I feel it morally incumbent upon me given my position to publicly state that I believe Jorge Bergoglio, “Francis” to be an Antipope, never having been canonically elected, and that Joseph Ratzinger, Pope Benedict XVI is still the Roman Pontiff.

Benedict XVI’s secretary speaks

Vatican “Abp.” Gänswein: Since Benedict XVI’s Abdication, there is now a Two-Member “Expanded Papacy”

Apparently, one Modernist Antipope was not enough…

[UPDATE 30-MAY-2016: English translation of complete Ganswein speech now available here]

The craziness in the Novus Ordo Sect just doesn’t stop.

georg-ganswein.jpg

On May 20, 2016, the Gregorian Pontifical University in Rome introduced “Fr.” Roberto Regoli’s new book, Oltre la crisi della Chiesa (“Beyond the Crisis of the Church”), a history of the “pontificate” of Benedict XVI (2005-2013). The book presentation was augmented by a talk given by the Vatican’s “Archbishop” Georg Gänswein, who is both the prefect of the “papal” household under Francis (and was formerly under Benedict XVI) as well as the private secretary of the “Pope Emeritus”, Benedict XVI.

Francis’ post-synodal exhortation Amoris Laetitia has caused the predicted chaos among conservative adherents of the Vatican II religion, although a few are still in denial. Approximately 18 hours since its official release, plenty of summaries, commentaries, and reactions continue to pour in. We are chronicling the meltdown and present the most explosive quotes from the wordy document in the following two links:

Meanwhile, the German intellectual review Merkur has published an interview with one of the country’s leading “papal” biographers and Vatican journalists, Andreas Englisch.

A “Siri Thesis” for Ratzinger Fans…

Resignationism 2.0:
Enter “Cardinal” Scola

benedict-vs-francis.jpg

Things are topsy-turvy in Novus Ordo Land. Now they even have their very own “Siri Thesis.”

After the initial appearance in late 2013 of the position we have termed “Resignationism” — the idea that Benedict XVI’s resignation was invalid and therefore he is still Pope, and Francis a usurper — there followed a few rounds of additional theorizing by adherents of the thesis, especially after Ratzinger explicitly affirmed to a journalist that his resignation was valid indeed. At the time, we predicted that Benedict’s affirmation would still not put an end to the speculations, and we were proven right when Antonio Socci wrote his follow-up article “The Plot Thickens.” We ended our own commentary on Socci’s take with the words: “Stay tuned, everyone.

Resignationism Continued…

Now “Abp.” Ganswein Weighs In:
Benedict’s Emeritus Status
“Corresponds to Reality”

georg-ganswein.jpg

“Archbishop” Georg Ganswein, Secretary to Benedict XVI

Italian journalist and author Antonio Socci is back with more on the neverending drama surrounding what we have termed the Resignationist thesis, the idea that the resignation of Benedict XVI (Joseph Ratzinger) was invalid and he is therefore still the legitimate Pope of the Catholic Church, Francis being an impostor. (For those who don’t know, the position of Novus Ordo Watch is that all “Popes” after Pius XII have been impostors. More on that here.)

In his latest contribution, published March 2, 2014 for the Italian El Libero, Socci reveals the “serious answer” Benedict XVI’s private secretary, “Abp.” Georg Gänswein, has given to the question why Benedict sticks with the title “Pope Emeritus” (as opposed to reverting simply to “Cardinal Ratzinger”, as would have been expected) and still retains various papal insignia, such as his papal coat of arms, the continued wearing of the white cassock and zucchetto, etc.

Resignationism, R.I.P.

Benedict XVI Speaks: “My Resignation Was Valid”

benedict-francis-zucchetto.jpg

Bad news for Resignationists — those who believe that Benedict XVI’s resignation was invalid because brought about by force. While it would allow them a convenient, non-sedevacantist way out of the problems with Francis by saying the true Pope is still Benedict, it is Joseph Ratzinger himself now who has explicitly denied the rumors and confirmed that he gave up his claim to the papacy by his own free will.

Responding to a letter written him by the well-known Italian Vatican journalist Andrea Tornielli of La Stampa, the “Pope Emeritus” clearly states:

There is absolutely no doubt regarding the validity of my resignation from the Petrine ministry.

Benedict XVI delights in “Great Agreement of Views” with Francis

UPDATE 2/26/14: Benedict Confirms Accuracy of Hans Kung Testimony (click here)

Bad news for Resignationists and all those who believe that “Pope Emeritus” Benedict XVI is gravely at odds with his offbeat successor, Jorge Bergoglio. The Italian newspaper La Repubblica reports that in a Jan. 24, 2014 letter Joseph Ratzinger wrote to his former colleague and collaborator Hans Kung, he expressed his satisfaction to be united to “Pope” Francis not only by a “cordial friendship” but also — and this is clearly much more important — by a shared concurrence of points-of-view:

“I am grateful to be joined to Pope Francis by a great agreement of views and a cordial friendship”, the retired Benedict wrote to arch-apostate Hans Kung, who basically denies every Catholic dogma in the book, including that of the Most Holy Trinity, and who announced in 2013 that he is considering committing suicide as he is now advanced in years and suffers from Parkinson’s Disease and doesn’t really see the point of sticking around.

Resignationism hitting the mainstream…

Italian Journalist Antonio Socci:
Ratzinger Resignation “May Not Be Valid”

antonio-socci.jpg

Author and Journalist Antonio Socci

One year after Benedict XVI’s historic announcement of his impending resignation from the “papacy”, well-respected Italian journalist and author Antonio Socci reflects on what led Fr. Joseph Ratzinger to give up his claim to the papal office on February 28, 2013.

Writing for the Italian daily Libero on Feb. 12, 2014, Socci says that details about the resignation have emerged that may render it invalid under church law. (Both Novus Ordo and traditional Catholic canon law state that, among other possible reasons, resignation obtained through fear unjustly inflicted is invalid; see Novus Ordo Canon 188Catholic Canon 185.) The details he describes are most interesting and by no means mere fantastic hypotheses.

Update on “Fr.” Kramer’s Rejection of Francis

benedict-resigns.jpg

Rev. Paul Kramer: “Benedict XVI Still Pope”
– The Rise of “Resignationism”

On November 29, 2013, we had happily reported that the well-known resistance traditionalist Rev. Paul Kramer, editor of The Devil’s Final Battle, had rejected Jorge Bergoglio’s claim to be the Pope of the Catholic Church and declared that the Holy See was vacant. Shortly thereafter, however, Kramer began claiming that Benedict XVI — officially the “Pope Emeritus” — was still reigning despite his resignation effective February 28 of this year. Here is what he posted on his Facebook page the day after announcing “sede vacante”:

kramer-benedict-reigns.jpg

The reason Kramer gives for his new position is that he believes Ratzinger’s resignation to have been invalid because it was obtained, so he is convinced, through coercion (acc.

Update 12/3/13: Rev. Kramer: “Benedict is still Pope!” (click here)

Thank Almighty God for His goodness!

On November 28, 2013, the Feast of St. Catherine Laboure, the Rev. Paul Leonard Kramer announced on his Facebook page that he rejects Francis’ claim to the papacy due to manifest heresy found in his newly-published “Apostolic Exhortation” Evangelii Gaudium. The Rev. Kramer is not unknown among traditionalists in the Vatican II Church. He is editor of the immensely popular book The Devil’s Final Battle and has written for publications such as The Fatima Crusader and appeared at various conferences.
