Catholic Morality on Voting: Obligation, Permissibility, and that Pesky Problem of the ‘Lesser Evil’

This is not a political post. It’s a post about the general Catholic position as regards voting in democratic elections, which falls within the purview of the Church’s moral theology. The reason for publishing this post (upon request a second time) is to inform Catholics who are not sufficiently familiar with the topic so as to clarify what is often misunderstood and remove doubt and uncertainty, thus helping to properly form consciences.

First, let’s look at a brief general overview.… READ MORE

Bad theology against a false pope – not going to work!

Over a Dozen ‘Prominent Catholics’ Warn Francis:
Resign or Be Deposed!

On May 2, 2024, the feast of Saint Athanasius, the semi-traditionalist blog Rorate Caeli published a ‘major statement’ against Jorge Bergoglio (aka ‘Pope Francis’). It is entitled “Call for the Resignation of Pope Francis” and bears the signatures of 16 people Life Site describes as “prominent Catholics”.

Just how prominent the signatories are, is another question, but it doesn’t really matter. Their names, along with their respective credentials, are listed by Rorate Caeli as follows:

Rev. Linus F.

False pope teaches false doctrine…

The Impossible Encyclical: Pacem in Terris turns 60

The false pope John XXIII as he unleashes false doctrine on unsuspecting Catholics (Apr. 10, 1963)

These days the Vatican is commemorating the 60th anniversary of the encyclical letter Pacem in Terris (“Peace on Earth”) by Angelo Roncalli (‘Pope John XXIII’). Although officially dated Apr. 11, 1963 — Holy Thursday — it was actually signed and issued a day early.

Pacem in Terris came at the tail end of Roncalli’s usurped pontificate — less than two months later, he was dead. It was the height of the Cold War, the Cuban Missile Crisis having occurred roughly six months before.… READ MORE

The History of Christendom:
From the French Revolution to ‘Pope’ Francis (1789-Present)

The Most Rev. Donald J. Sanborn explains the history of the Catholic Church

Long-time readers of this blog may remember that years ago we presented, courtesy of True Restoration, a video lecture series on the history of Christendom with Bishop Donald Sanborn. Beginning with the Edict of Milan in the early 4th century, which legalized Christianity throughout the Roman Empire, Bp. Sanborn traced the history of the Catholic Church all the way up to, but not including, the French Revolution.… READ MORE

Interview with Jesuit ‘America’ journalists…

Francis: ‘If I see the Gospel in a Sociological Way only, Yes, I am Communist, and so too is Jesus’

Sometimes ‘Pope’ Francis (Jorge Bergoglio) says outrageous things that go under, simply because he says and does so many other outrageous things that one cannot read or process everything in due time.

Thus it is that we must turn once again to the interview Francis gave to journalists affiliated with the Jesuit rag America, which was published Nov. 28:

America‘s departing editor-in-chief, ‘Fr.’… READ MORE

Building Paradise on Earth:
Francis’ Message for World Day of Migrants

Dead serious: Club Bergoglio claims God has entrusted humanity with the building of an earthly paradise

The Vatican has released Jorge Bergoglio’s message for this year’s World Day of Migrants and Refugees, to be observed on Sep. 25, 2022. Bergoglio is the Argentinian apostate who stars as “Pope Francis” in the ongoing Modernist circus in Vatican City that began when Cardinal Angelo Roncalli presented himself as “Pope John XXIII” in 1958.

Unlike fundamental theology, philanthropy is something Bergoglio gets really excited about. Unfortunately, this false pope has the bad habit of misusing legitimate humanitarian concerns to advance an apostate Naturalist agenda, an agenda that is utterly destructive of Catholic Supernaturalism at its very root.… READ MORE

Papal address of September 14, 1952…

Pope Pius XII on the Moral Limits of Medical Treatment

On Sep. 14, 1952, Pope Pius XII gave an address to the First International Congress on the Histopathology of the Nervous System.

In it, the Holy Father speaks to scientists and doctors about the moral limits of medical research and treatment, specifically with regard to new methods, procedures, and technologies being tried. Pope Pius also addresses the question of what rights the patient has over his own body and psyche, what rights the doctor has over the patient, and, perhaps most importantly of all, what rights the lawful public authority has over individuals in view of the common good — and doesn’t have.… READ MORE

Anticipating Antichrist: In World Migrant Day Message, Francis hints at “Messianic Future” of Naturalist Heaven on Earth

Few things allow the Argentinian apostate Jesuit and professional papal pretender Jorge Bergoglio (“Pope Francis”) to do his part to advance the globalist New World Order agenda more effectively than the topic of migrants and refugees. It allows him to exploit the natural human desire to help those in need by inculcating in people his pseudo-Catholic Masonic concepts of liberty, equality, fraternity, and open borders, thus placing the temporal over the eternal, the natural over the supernatural, man over Christ.… READ MORE

Fr. Edward Leen against the Marxists…

A Brief Catholic Critique of Communism

Early protagonists of Communism: Vladimir Lenin, Friedrich Engels, Karl Marx

In 1939, the magnificent Irish Catholic writer Fr. Edward Leen (1885-1944) published a book entitled The Church before Pilate. Released at a critical moment in history, it addresses the relations between the Catholic Church and the secular authority. At only 78 pages, it is a short read and highly recommended.

In Chapter 2 of The Church before Pilate, the author devotes a subsection to the topic of Communism. He offers a sobering analysis of the despicable, materialistic, godless system introduced by Karl Marx (1818-1883), identifying it as “the most uncompromising enemy of Catholicity”, indeed “the most thorough expression of the partial, incomplete and somewhat illogical revolts that have marked the course of Christianity from the first years of the Christian era.”… READ MORE

Mexican Novus Ordo Bishop receives Award for Homo Rights Activism

Mr. José Raúl Vera López, O.P., is the former Novus Ordo bishop of Saltillo, Mexico. He retired only this past November, having originally been appointed to this post on Dec. 30, 1999, by “Saint” John Paul II of unhappy memory. Lopez is a prime product of the Novus Ordo religion and comes with approval from the highest echelons, having been (invalidly) ordained a priest by false pope Paul VI himself in 1975 and (likewise invalidly) consecrated a bishop by false pope John Paul II in 1988.… READ MORE

Priest in 1955: Apocalypse indicates False Prophet will be Fake Pope while Papal Chair is Vacant and Church Appears Destroyed

For this find, we are indebted to Resignationist blogger Ann Barnhardt, who published an abridged excerpt of the same passage yesterday.

In 1955, Fr. Herman Kramer (1884-1976), a diocesan priest in Sioux City, Iowa, published a work called The Book of Destiny, which is an explanation of the Apocalypse, the last book of the Holy Bible (otherwise known as Revelation).

The Book of Destiny bears a nihil obstat and imprimatur given on Jan. 26, 1956. This official diocesan approval does not guarantee that the book is free from error, only that anything proposed in it does not contradict the Catholic Faith — the book is therefore safe for a Catholic to read.… READ MORE

Yes, Hinduism is that far gone already…

Hindu Eco-Activist: Francis’ Laudato Si Encyclical reads like Sacred Text of Hinduism

We are indebted to Dr. Jules Gomes for alerting us to this find.

Chances are you haven’t heard of Vandana Shiva, and that’s probably a good thing. The 68-year old Indian woman is a “physicist, ecofeminist, philosopher, activist, and author”, according to the United Nations Environment Programme.

With that kind of résumé, it is no wonder that “Pope” Francis thought she would make for a good addition to his much-advertised Economy of Francesco conference, a three-day “make the world a better place” event that was originally going to be held in Assisi, Italy, in March of this year, but that now took place online Nov.READ MORE
