Church History Prefigured by the Old Testament
For year’s end, we’re happy to share an exciting and fascinating presentation that was recently featured on the Catholic Family Podcast with host Kevin Davis.
The guest on this particular episode, released on Nov. 14, 2023, was Dominic from the Maccabean Uprising web site. In this presentation, he demonstrates in summary fashion that the history of the Catholic Church bears striking resemblance to the history of the Old Covenant.
As noted on the web site:

The Omnipotence of God is infinite! In a small demonstration of His power, it seems that He has caused the entire history of the Catholic Church to be prefigured by the entire history of Israel in the Old Testament.

‘Love Is Never Wrong’: Vatican Scrambles to Defend Homo Couple Blessings
Rocco Buttiglione defends Fiducia Supplicans for Vatican News
The release of the declaration Fiducia Supplicans on Dec. 18, 2023, has turned into a fiasco or, as we would say in the United States, into a dumpster fire. In multiple subsequent interviews, the DDF prefect ‘Cardinal’ Victor Manuel Fernandez has attempted to stop the bleeding while continuing to engage in the impossible balancing act of affirming both the novelty of Fiducia Supplicans and yet also its supposed fidelity to Tradition.
The recognize-and-resist traditionalists are celebrating that so many Novus Ordo bishops are apparently rejecting the doctrinal declaration that permits the blessing of adulterous and sodomitical couples, thinking the ‘resistance’ has scored a great victory thereby.… READ MORE

Real or Fake? Lightning Reportedly Maims Statue of St. Peter in Buenos Aires
The internet is abuzz right now with a report by Resignationist Andrea Cionci, author of The Ratzinger Code (debunked by a Francis adherent here), saying that a statue of St. Peter on the façade of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of St. Nicholas in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, was zapped by lightning on Dec. 17 which made its halo and right hand fall off, along with the key it was holding (by which is symbolized the key to the kingdom of heaven; cf.… READ MORE

In the midst of the flood of recent news, let us make sure we do not miss the most important news of all, the GOOD news: “And the angel said to them: Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, that shall be to all the people: For, this day, is born to you a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord, in the city of David” (Lk 2:10-11).

Surveying the Landscape after ‘Fiducia Supplicans’
When in 2016 ‘Pope’ Francis released the so-called Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia, great confusion and drawn-out debates over its interpretation followed. Did the document really permit people who live in open adultery to receive Holy Communion without repentance? Yes, it did, but not everyone was willing to accept that that was indeed what the ‘Pope’ was saying. We chronicled the civil war in Novus Ordo Land over this document here:
A similar thing happened in 2018, when Francis decided that the death penalty, clearly approved by God in both the Old and New Testaments as well as Sacred Tradition and the perennial magisterial teaching of the Church, was now “inadmissible” and “contrary to the Gospel”, and revised the so-called Catechism of the Catholic Church accordingly:
What just happened this past Monday with regard to the blessing of couples ‘in irregular situations’, especially sodomites, however, will make the Amoris Laetitia and capital punishment battles look like child’s play by comparison.… READ MORE

Vatican Allows Blessings of ‘Irregular’ Couples:
An Initial Commentary and Analysis
The Dicastery for the Destruction of the Faith’s declaration Fiducia Supplicans, officially approved by ‘Pope’ Francis and published on Dec. 18, 2023, has hit the Novus Ordo Church like a nuclear bomb:
At the moment, ‘Catholic’ experts (and wannabe experts) are busy discussing what the document means, but not only that. As usual, there is disagreement even on what the document says. No one causes chaos like Chaos Frank — and just before Christmas, to boot!
Although we are still working on a substantial analysis of Fiducia Supplicans for our readers, for the moment we can at least present a brief and somewhat cursory commentary as we try to juggle all of the following at the same time: (a) stay on top of the latest developments; (b) collect and parse the major reactions that have been flooding in; (c) analyze the content of the document; (d) compile an intelligent, documented commentary on it.… READ MORE

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Father Campbell, whose service to God has been nothing short of heroic.

‘Pope’ Francis Green-Lights Blessings of Sodomite Couples
The so-called Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) released a document today that essentially allows Novus Ordo priests to bless sinful unions. In particular, it permits the blessing not simply of sodomitic individuals but precisely of couples. Of course the same goes for heterosexual couples who are in an adulterous union or otherwise ‘irregular situation’.
Entitled Fiducia Supplicans, the document has been published by the Vatican press office in Italian, French, English, German, and Spanish:

Novus Ordo Bishop celebrates Interfaith Hanukkah with Jews and Protestants
Michael James Sis (b. 1960) is the Novus Ordo bishop of the so-called Roman Catholic diocese of San Angelo, Texas. He was appointed to his putative office by the Argentinian apostate Jorge Bergoglio (‘Pope Francis’) in 2013.
This past Wednesday, Dec. 13, ‘Bishop’ Sis spoke at an interreligious Hanukkah celebration that he himself had helped put together. The event was included in the pseudo-bishop’s online calendar as “Interreligious Hanukkah service” to be held at Heritage Hall of the local First Methodist Church.… READ MORE

It can’t be fun working for Catholic Answers these days.
Ever since the Jesuit apostate from Buenos Aires made himself at home in the Vatican’s Casa Santa Marta under his stage name ‘Pope Francis’, the California-based Novus Ordo apologetics org has found itself in a difficult spot. Early on in his ‘pontificate’, the man whose real name is Jorge Bergoglio made clear that Catholicism isn’t really his thing — and that it shouldn’t be anyone else’s thing, either:
At first, Catholic Answers tried to do what most others in their camp did: maintain that it was all a big misunderstanding, that we just needed the right ‘key’ to understanding Francis, that the problem was the translations, that the media are misrepresenting “what the Pope really said”, that Francis is just a bit different (if for no other reason than that he’s a Jesuit), etc.,… READ MORE

Austrian Jesuit Attacks Immaculate Conception Dogma
It explains a lot: The Rev. Andreas Batlogg is a Jesuit
The Austrian presbyter Andreas R. Batlogg, S.J. (b. 1962), teaches ‘Catholic theology’ in Munich, Germany. A Jesuit, he is the former editor-in-chief of the theological review Stimmen der Zeit (‘Voices of the Time’) and author and editor of numerous books and articles. He has a special interest in the theology of Karl Rahner, S.J. (1904-1984), one of the most destructive theological minds of the 20th century.

I noticed in your latest article about my “hubris” a simple factual error:
“When an academic who has a Ph.D. in philosophy but no degree in theology, and who has never had an official teaching mandate from what he recognizes to be the lawful ecclesiastical authority…”
In fact, I received the mandatum to teach theology twice: first from Cardinal Schönborn (yes, I know… but he was the bishop of the diocese in which the International Theological Institute was located), and then from Bishop David Ricken of Cheyenne (prior to his transfer to Green Bay).

‘Herald the Dance of Balance and Harmony’: Francis Signs Crazy Interreligious Climate Action Statement
Years ago, German journalist Alexander Kissler publicly referred to ‘Pope’ Francis (Jorge Bergoglio) as a “U.N. Secretary General with a pectoral cross” (source). He wasn’t wrong, of course, but we suspect even the U.N. Secretary General would choose a better-looking cross than the one Francis wears.
One may extend Kissler’s metaphor and say that at this point, the Vatican II Church is basically the United Nations at prayer. Indeed, the Jesuit squatter at the Vatican guest house has just confirmed it once more as he signed a new interfaith statement on climate change for the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as ‘COP28’, which is currently underway in Expo City in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, until Dec.… READ MORE
