Time to take a stand…

Are You Catholic?

It’s only a few more weeks, nay days, before Jorge Bergoglio (“Pope” Francis) visits the United States. He will arrive on Tuesday, Sept. 22 and stay until Sunday, Sept. 27. Here is the official schedule:

With the arrival of Francis, a great many secular people will turn their attention to “things Catholic”, and this means that for those of us who live in the United States, we may very well be asked whether we are Catholic, what we think of Francis, and whether we are excited about the “papal” visit.… READ MORE

Meet the New “Archbishop” of Santa Fe:
John Charles Wester

As of late, Jorge Bergoglio (“Pope Francis”) has been appointing “bishops” faster than Chris Ferrrara can say “diabolical disorientation”. On Monday, April 27, 2015, Mr. Bergoglio appointed the “bishop” of Salt Lake City, John Charles Wester, as the new “Archbishop” of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Here are some of the news stories covering the appointment, as well as an interview:

John Wester is a posterboy for Novus Ordo interreligious dialogue.… READ MORE

Laudato Si’ in Action:
“Cardinal” Ravasi worships Earth Goddess

Embed from Getty Images

The head of the Vatican’s so-called “Pontifical Council for Culture”, “Cardinal” Gianfranco Ravasi, has been spotted worshipping an Andean pagan deity known as Pachamama, a “Mother Earth” goddess. The video below shows Ravasi taking part in the idolatrous rite together with Quechuan natives in Argentina. An apparent Novus Ordo nun is also participating.

As far as culture goes, this is the same “Cardinal” Ravasi who sent a series of tweets in late October 2013 to honor the passing of Lou Reed, a scandalous and lewd American rock singer whose 1972 hit Walk on the Wild Side contained lyrics that included “taboo topics such as transsexuality, drugs, male prostitution and” something so disgusting we won’t mention it here (source).… READ MORE

Francis in Message to Ecumenical Event: “I want to say something that may perhaps be a Heresy, I don’t know” —UPDATED

UPDATE 28-MAY-2015 03:05 UTC: Now that the full message in the original Spanish has become available, we have published a follow-up post that examines Francis’ actual words and responds to attempts to render them harmless:

UPDATE 26-MAY-2015 22:45 UTC: The Vatican web site has released a transcript of Francis’ actual words in Spanish, which reveals that what he actually said is even worse than the initial translation from Vatican Radio suggests:

We will soon publish a follow-up post on this matter right here at the Novus Ordo Wire, and our next TRADCAST podcast will be dedicated entirely to this story.… READ MORE

 “Hermeneutic of Continuity” Update…

Ecumenism:
Francis Contradicts Pope Pius XI Verbatim

At this point, the Vatican II apostasy is so advanced that prior papal teaching is now being denied verbatim by the “Pope” of the Novus Ordo Church, without so much as batting an eye.

Consider what Francis said to the (female) Lutheran “Archbishop” of Sweden, Antje Jackelen, whom he received in audience today, May 4:

Pope Francis received the Lutheran archbishop of Sweden in audience on May 4 and said that the Christian division contradicts the will of Christ, scandalizes the world, and harms the cause of the preaching of the Gospel.

The Anti-Modernist Reader:

Volume 1: The Papacy

Edited by Rev. Anthony Cekada

The Anti-Modernist Reader is a multi-volume anthology of articles written by several sedevacantist clerics since the 1990s, many of which have been published at TraditionalMass.org. The essays are arranged topically, with each volume being dedicated to a particular topic. This first volume, now published, deals with the divinely-established office of the papacy. Future volumes will include material on the Holy Mass, on the Sacraments, on Sedevacantism, and more.

To give you an introduction to this series and provide some of the background of how the idea for this anthology came about, our friends at Restoration Radio have put together a short broadcast, free of charge, discussing The Anti-Modernist Reader with its editor and co-author: CLICK HERE TO LISTEN.… READ MORE

Bergoglio’s Theology in Song…

“Heal the World” with Cistercian “Fr.” Karl Wallner

The above is a video clip of a secular talk show broadcast on Austrian television on Good Friday, April 3, 2015. It features the Cistercian Novus Ordo presbyter “Fr.” Karl Wallner attempting to give a rendition of Michael Jackson’s naturalist 1990s feel-good song Heal the World. He is joined by Birgit Denk, lead singer of the Viennese pop and rock band DENK.

Heal the World (lyrics here), just like similar slushy hymns such as We are the World and Hand in Hand, makes for a perfect theme song for the Vatican II Church, but specifically for Francis’ theology: It contains nothing you couldn’t also find on a Hallmark greeting card, it makes only a fleeting and virtually meaningless reference to God, it has no answer for human misery and suffering, it glosses over the necessity of divine grace, it treats life in this world as the ultimate purpose of human existence, and it puts its hope in the natural “goodness” of man, that just needs to be rekindled, as the solution to the world’s problems. … READ MORE

Fear Francis more than ISIS…

It’s Heresy: Francis’ “Ecumenism of Blood”

Bergoglio’s heresies are a direct attack on the Body of Christ
(image: manipulated screenshot from The Passion of the Christ)

This post is not going to make us a lot of friends, but we’ll publish it anyway, since our desire is to serve and please God, not man (cf. Gal 1:10).

We have all heard about the horrific murders of men, women, and children by the ISIS terrorists. The barbarism of these people is beyond comprehension — they are clearly tools of the devil. In response to the most recent video that shows the beheading of 21 Egyptian men for professing belief in Christ, “His Holiness” Francis made a statement on February 16, 2015.… READ MORE

After 50 Years of Vatican II and the New Theology…

In Germany, the Novus Ordo Sect is Finished

kamphaus.jpg

“Bp.” Franz Kamphaus, the perfect embodiment of the spiritual wasteland that is the Novus Ordo Religion

On December 29, 2014, the German mainstream paper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) released a hard-hitting article describing the sorry state of “Christianity” in its nation. In the well-written and somewhat lengthy piece, journalist Markus Günther gives a candid assessment of what has become of the Novus Ordo Church and its Protestant counterpart in the nation that gave birth to such philosophical and theological malpracticioners as Luther, Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche, Marx, Rahner, and Ratzinger, and is home to the world’s most ridiculous liturgical anarchy.… READ MORE

What’s Good for the Goose is Good for the Gander: How the October Synod Refutes Vatican II’s False Ecclesiology

When the so-called “Synod on the Family” met at the Vatican this past October, a lot of people were outraged when they heard about the midterm document (relatio) that attempted to dissect mortal sins — including those that cry to Heaven for vengeance — into positive and negative “elements”. This idea, however, was not entirely new — it was simply the extension of a concept endorsed at the Second Vatican Council, according to which there exist “elements” of the Catholic Church in other religions, specifically Protestant sects.… READ MORE

“Silent Adoration”:
Francis prays with Mufti at the Blue Mosque in Istanbul

Mr. Jorge Bergoglio (“Pope Francis”) is currently visiting Turkey. November 29 marks Day 2 of his trip, and, like his predecessor Benedict XVI, he went to Istanbul and, removing his shoes, stepped into the Mosque of the Sultan Ahmed, often referred to as the “Blue Mosque”. As is visible in the photo above and the video below, Francis prayed for several minutes to the same god as the Muslims:

After the prayer, Francis said to the Muslim leader, “I also want to ask you to pray for me” (source).… READ MORE

Concluding Commentary

Oh, the Drama!
The Synod is Over — For Now

Thank goodness, the Synod in Rome is finally over: Two weeks of speculation, intrigue, accusations and denials, and pseudo-theological hysteria that culminated in the blasphemous and sacrilegious “beatification” of the False Pope Paul VI (Giovanni Battista Montini) are finally at an end. What was supposed to be an episcopal discussion group on theological matters turned out to be a wild soap opera of Hollywood proportions — and it’s far from over.

This assembly in Rome was merely the first, “extraordinary” part of a larger, two-synod event which will conclude in October 2015 with an “ordinary” synod at which the attendant Novus Ordo bishops will submit final recommendations to Francis with regard to the topics under discussion, after which the “Pope” will then release a so-called “post-synodal apostolic exhortation” as he did in 2013 with the heretical and turgid Evangelii Gaudium.… READ MORE

A Nod to Sin at the Synod:

Gathering finds “Elements” of Holy Matrimony in Fornication & Adultery, wants to “Accept & Value” Homosexual “Orientation”

Vatican commentator John Thavis has called it a “pastoral earthquake”: The Extraordinary Synod on the Family currently underway in the Vatican has just released its first post-discussion document (relatio post disceptationem), an initial position paper, if you will, or draft of ideas and suggestions to be considered and discussed in the coming days at the synod itself and in the next 12 months before the final decisions are made at next year’s Ordinary Synod in October 2015.… READ MORE

Mgr. Fenton on the Failure of Vatican II
— What John Vennari didn’t tell you

Mr. John Vennari

John Vennari, editor of the recognize-and-resist flagship publication Catholic Family News, has long been an ardent proponent of the great anti-Modernist theologian Mgr. Joseph Clifford Fenton (1906-1969), and rightly so. Fenton was indeed a remarkably gifted and zealous opponent of Modernism in the twentieth century, a genuine stronghold of Catholic orthodoxy amid the theological liberalism that was trying to gain foot in the years leading up to the Second Vatican Council (1962-65).

For well over ten years, and again very recently, Vennari has been quoting in his articles and talks from an essay written by Mgr.… READ MORE

Monsignor Joseph Clifford Fenton was a priest of the diocese of Springfield, Massachusetts, ordained in 1930. He taught at the Catholic University of America and served as editor of the American Ecclesiastical Review from 1943-1963. In 1931, he received his doctorate degree in Sacred Theology from the Angelicum in Rome. His dissertation was written under the direction of Fr. Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange, O.P.
