Even the Modernist ‘Cardinal’ Gerhard Ludwig Müller, himself prefect of the Novus Ordo doctrine factory from 2012-17, is not thrilled with the choice.

The July 1, 2023 news bulletin released by the Vatican press office announces the appointment of Victor Manuel Fernandez (b. 1962), currently the ‘Archbishop’ of La Plata, Argentina, as the new Prefect of the so-called Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF):

Luis Francisco Ladaria Ferrer, S.J., at the conclusion of his mandate as Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith and President of the Pontifical Biblical Commission and of the International Theological Commission, and has called to succeed him in the same offices His Most Reverend Excellency Archbishop Víctor Manuel Fernández, until now Archbishop of La Plata (Argentina).

In 1995, while a “priest” for the diocese of Villa de la Concepción del Río Cuarto, he wrote and published a book entitled Sáname con tu Boca: El Arte de Besar (“Heal Me with your Mouth: The Art of Kissing”).

It has now come to light that “the Pope’s theologian”, the man who wrote Francis’ forthcoming encyclical on ecology and the environment (reportedly to be called Laudato Sii), published a book twenty years ago entitled, “Heal me with your Mouth: The Art of Kissing.”
