The Case of the Omitted Text:

Response to Salza & Siscoe’s Accusation
that we Deleted Parts of St. Robert Bellarmine

In what can only be described as a bizarre spectacle, the authors of True or False Pope? Refuting Sedevacantism and Other Modern Errors, John Salza and Robert Siscoe, have now publicly accused Novus Ordo Watch of deleting parts from a text of St. Robert Bellarmine that supposedly refutes the Sedevacantist position. What they carefully avoided telling their readers is that the “evidence” they pointed to was merely a short excerpt from the chapter, clearly indicated as such, in a blog post.… READ MORE

Now What?

Being a Real Catholic
while the Church is in Eclipse

So you have been reading our web site, you have been praying and thinking, and you are inclined to believe that we are probably right in our assessment of the situation with regard to the Novus Ordo Sect and the Catholic Church, the usurpation by the Modernists, the changes in doctrine, worship, and discipline, and the papal pretenders. Naturally, there is now a burning question on your mind: “Now what? What do we do now? Where do we go from here? How can I be a Catholic today, and where is the Church?… READ MORE

Answers to Frequently-Asked Questions and Common Objections

Question 1: What is meant by the term “Novus Ordo”?

Answer: The term “Novus Ordo” is Latin and literally means “new order.” The term as it is used here on this web site and among traditional Catholics in general comes from the phrase “novus Ordo Missae,” literally, “new order of the Mass,” which “Pope” Paul VI used in a draft of the 1969 document Missale Romanum, a supposed “Apostolic Constitution” in which he imposed what he claimed was a reform of the liturgical rite of the Roman Catholic Mass (see more information about this here).… READ MORE

The Facts About “Pope Benedict XVI” – Joseph Alois Ratzinger

What You Need To Know About the Man
who Claimed to be the Pope from 2005-2013

“Benedict XVI”

On April 19, 2005, the German “cardinal” Fr. Joseph Ratzinger was elected “Pope” Benedict XVI. This page is dedicated to demonstrating that Ratzinger’s beliefs and actions reveal that he was not a Catholic, and therefore he could not possibly have held the highest office in the Catholic Church, the Papacy.

Furthermore, the “episcopal consecration” of Fr. Ratzinger in 1977 was invalid, and hence Joseph Ratzinger was not even a bishop but only a priest (ordained in 1951).… READ MORE

Why Suarez’s position cannot be held today

The Opinion of Francisco Suarez on the Question of a Heretical Pope

As Neo-Traditionalists John Salza and Robert Siscoe begin to ship the first copies of their new book against Sedevacantism to their hapless recipients, we continue to rain on their parade by refuting some of the errors we expect to see in their work, which have been around for decades. The following is an excerpt from John Daly’s book against the pseudo-traditionalist pioneer and SSPX apologist Michael Davies (1936-2004), whose research and argumentation has long been the bedrock for probably most of the English-speaking world on traditionalist issues, including Sedevacantism.… READ MORE

Comments on the Latest Bp. Fellay Interview — and on the June 29 Press Release

On June 22, 2016, we were the first English-speaking web site to break the news about Bp. Bernard Fellay’s new interview, published on June 21, on the relations between the Society of St. Pius X and the Vatican. What is puzzling is that virtually no one has picked up on the news since, even though the SSPX Superior General made not a few statements that should raise the eyebrows of anyone who considers himself a real Catholic. Here is our original post on the interview:

When did Nestorius Lose his Office?
A Refutation of John Salza & Robert Siscoe

Cardinal Louis Billot, S.J. (1846-1931)

The huffing and puffing anti-sedevacantist apologists over at TrueOrFalsePope.com are currently busy publishing countless excerpts from their 700-page book as separate, individual articles. One such article posted on Feb. 2 criticizes Sedevacantists for pointing out that Nestorius automatically and immediately ceased to be the valid bishop of the see of Constantinople at the moment he became a public heretic, and not only after a legal declaration by the Church. This, John Salza and Robert Siscoe maintain, is false: “Nestorius was not deposed by ‘Divine law’ the moment he began preaching heresy, but was instead deposed after the Church itself rendered a judgment”, they argue (italics given).… READ MORE

Papal Error?

St. Robert Bellarmine’s Defense of Popes said to have Erred in Faith

The folks at Mediatrix Press have released another gem of St. Robert Bellarmine, the great 17th-century Jesuit cardinal who is the Church’s foremost single theologian on the papacy. For the first time now available in English, Papal Error? A Defense of Popes said to have Erred in Faith is an excerpt from Cardinal Bellarmine’s larger treatise De Romano Pontifice (“On the Roman Pontiff”), Book IV. The translator is Mr. Ryan Grant, and the English-speaking world owes him a tremendous amount of gratitude.… READ MORE

Stuck in a Rut:
Anti-Sedevacantism in the Age of Bergoglio

Over the past two years or so, a veritable barrage of anti-sedevacantist articles has appeared in online and offline publications of the recognize-and-resist camp, penned mostly by lay authors who have dabbled in various pieces of Catholic theological and canonical literature but who have no genuine grasp of the subject matter they are pontificating about. Their approach to the question of whether Francis is a valid Pope is often not deductive — applying Catholic principles to the evidence before us and then drawing the conclusion that follows — but inductive instead, beginning with the desired conclusion that Francis is a valid Pope and then attempting to come up with “evidence” that seems to necessitate this conclusion.… READ MORE

Refuting a common objection…

Sedevacantism:
Have the Gates of Hell Prevailed?

One of the most common objections made against the Sedevacantist position is that if it were true that Francis or any of his five predecessors are not valid Popes, it would mean that the gates of hell have prevailed against the Church and therefore Christ’s promise in Matthew 16:18 that this could never happen would be made void. Although one would hope that most people who have looked into Sedevacantism would know by now that surely no one would hold this position if it were that easy to refute it, it is nevertheless useful to give it some renewed attention.… READ MORE

Catholic Debate and Personal Polemics:
Are we just full of “Bitter Zeal” and “Venom”? Can We Only Attack an Argument and Never a Person?

Some readers of our web site, though happy with the content in general, may be somewhat displeased with our rhetorical and polemical style, or our personal rebukes of certain individuals, specifically (our favorite targets) members of the bogus Vatican II hierarchy, but also subscribers to the false “recognize-and-resist” opposition, including Michael Voris, John Vennari, Michael Matt, John Salza, and Christopher Ferrara. As of late, it seems to have become fashionable to object on certain blogs and forums that Novus Ordo Watch is just full of “venom” and “bitter zeal” — a rather convenient excuse not to have to deal with the facts presented.

Deniers of the Resurrection:
Walter Kasper, Gerhard Mü
ller, Joseph Ratzinger

Left to right: Walter Kasper, Gerhard L. Muller, Joseph Ratzinger

We have posted on this topic before, but the issue is so serious that it really bears repeating: There are a lot of people in the Vatican II Sect who deny the Catholic dogma that Jesus Christ rose physically from the dead. This denial is a pet tenet of Modernism, which denies all miracles. Modernists reject genuine miracles because they loathe the supernatural and do not have Faith. It should come as no surprise, therefore, that many in the Novus Ordo Church deny even the very dogma of the Bodily Resurrection of Christ, which is the greatest of all of Christ’s miracles and the definitive proof that He is the True God and the True Messiah.… READ MORE

Im-moral Theology

Novus Ordo Moral Theologian sees “Sacramental Character” in “Commited, Loving” Same-Sex Unions

Stephan Goertz is a recognized “Catholic” authority on moral theology in Germany

BARF BAG ALERT: The latest aberro-sexual trash comes once again from the heart of apostate Europe, from Germany. The internet portal Katholisch.de, which is maintained by the German National Conference of Novus Ordo Bishops, has published an interview with the “moral theologian” Stephan Goertz, who is part of the “Catholic-theological” faculty of the University of Mainz. Goertz is the editor of the new book, “Wer bin ich, ihn zu verurteilen?” — “Who am I to judge him?”
