Meet the “Punk Priest”

Today we present another offbeat character that serves as a great example of the glorious “New Springtime” that was ushered in by the Vatican II Church in the 1960s. His name is “Fr.” Bob Lubic, and he goes by the nickname “The Punk Priest” (we say “Father” in quotes because he was ordained in the invalid Novus Ordo rite of ordination). He formerly had a website at ThePunkPriest.com, but it is now defunct and the address forwards to his Facebook page instead.

Luckily, however, a good amount of the content of the old Punk Priest web site was saved by the Web Archive’s Wayback Machine and can still be retrieved, for example, right here:

The head of the Vatican’s so-called “Pontifical Council for Culture”, “Cardinal” Gianfranco Ravasi, has been spotted worshipping an Andean pagan deity known as Pachamama, a “Mother Earth” goddess. The video below shows Ravasi taking part in the idolatrous rite together with Quechuan natives in Argentina. An apparent Novus Ordo nun is also participating.

As far as culture goes, this is the same “Cardinal” Ravasi who sent a series of tweets in late October 2013 to honor the passing of Lou Reed, a scandalous and lewd American rock singer whose 1972 hit Walk on the Wild Side contained lyrics that included “taboo topics such as transsexuality, drugs, male prostitution and” something so disgusting we won’t mention it here (source).… READ MORE

The apostate dingbats of the Novus Ordo Sect just never run out of ideas. For Easter Sunday, Mr. Jean-Christophe André Robert Lagleize, in his comedy role as the “Catholic Bishop” of Metz, France, celebrated the Modernist Worship Service (“Eucharistic Celebration”) at a public fair, specifically inside the tent of a bumper car ride.

While certain self-styled “traditionalists” and “real Catholics” are currently pushing the attractive and convenient but utterly false and disastrous idea that the Catholic Church had Popes in her history who were heretics but were still valid Popes, we at Novus Ordo Watch like to go by actual Church teaching and verifiable facts.

Besides such blowhards as Michael Voris (at 5:54 here) and Eric Gajewski (here), one of the biggest loudmouths out there who is pushing this bewildering error of “heretical but valid Popes” is the anonymous English blogger Mundabor, whom we recently gave a good spanking for his train wreck of a theological analysis on the Novus Ordo Missae.

There are two major lines of argument used by people who are rabidly anti-sedevacantist; that is, those who oppose the position of Sedevacantism not on account of evidence, real or imagined, but on account of a desire to see the position opposed for some other motive.

The first line of argumentation is to downplay the problems with the Vatican II “Popes” to make them seem less serious than they are. The second line of argumentation is to exaggerate the problems with some true Popes of the past to make them seem comparable to the situation we find ourselves in today, when outright apostates are claiming the papal office, especially Francis, Benedict XVI, John Paul II, and Paul VI.
