The Poison of the Novus Ordo “Mass”:
Catholic Theology refutes Neo-Trad Bloggers

Novus Ordo Missae: The Modernist Worship Service in Action

If you want to have a stellar example of the warped theology and mental gymnastics you have to embrace in Neo-Traditionalist Wonderland, look no further than the issues being discussed by Mundabor and Louie Verrecchio on whether the “New Mass” (Novus Ordo Missae of Paul VI) is evil and/or sinful to attend. There we have two individuals who use Catholic principles very selectively and/or turn a blind eye to what is right in front of them, in order not to have to embrace that which would otherwise follow necessarily: Sedevacantism.… READ MORE

On Bp. Faure’s recent Consecration

Resistance Madness: A Sedevacantist looks at Bp. Williamson’s Justification for Consecrating Bp. Faure

We do not typically simply republish other people’s blog posts, but in this case, we will make an exception as the post shows the anti-Catholic ideas inherent in the justifications given by Bp. Richard Williamson for his recent episcopal consecration of Bp. Jean-Michel Faure, both formerly with the Society of St. Pius X.

The following is a repost from the blog Introibo ad Altare Dei. With a few minor exceptions, all formatting has been retained as in the original post, which is entitled Pater Noster?

Released on March 11, TRADCAST 003 is an in-depth response to Eric Gajewski of the TradCatKnight blog, who had attempted to refute our post, “Pope Leo XIII Quashes Popular ‘Recognize-and-Resist’ Position”, where we published, for the first time ever on the internet, English translations of two little-known Apostolic Letters of Pope Leo XIII (d. 1903), in which the Sovereign Pontiff teaches that Catholic laymen have an obligation to submit to their bishops and the Pope, and must accept their teachings with docility and give their assent.… READ MORE

 Setting the Record straight…

The “Heretical” Popes
Part 1: Adrian VI

[UPDATE 07-APR-2015: The First Vatican Council on the Question of a Heretical Pope]

There are two major lines of argument used by people who are rabidly anti-sedevacantist; that is, those who oppose the position of Sedevacantism not on account of evidence, real or imagined, but on account of a desire to see the position opposed for some other motive.

The first line of argumentation is to downplay the problems with the Vatican II “Popes” to make them seem less serious than they are. The second line of argumentation is to exaggerate the problems with some true Popes of the past to make them seem comparable to the situation we find ourselves in today, when outright apostates are claiming the papal office, especially Francis, Benedict XVI, John Paul II, and Paul VI.

Nice try, guys…

Robert Siscoe and The Remnant’s Latest Canon Law Fiasco

As of late, a number of articles critical of the Sedevacantist position have been published by the usual semi-traditionalist opinion outlets — Catholic Family News and The Remnant. While Novus Ordo Watch always makes every effort to provide a response to such articles, in recent months we have been so busy with just keeping up on the daily chaos perpetrated by Francis that such larger projects have been delayed. In addition, we Sedevacantists are greatly outnumbered by adherents to the more popular and much more convenient semi-trad “recognize-and-resist” position, so on that score alone it is always easier for the other side to produce more content and to do so more frequently.… READ MORE

Scrambling to maintain Francis is Pope…

Dr. De Mattei’s Anti-Sedevacantist Tranquilizer

As it becomes more and more undeniable that the man who claims to be “Pope Francis” of the Catholic Church is in fact an anti-Catholic heretic (apostate, to be exact), various thinkers who adhere to the Modernist Vatican II Church are scrambling to look for ways to maintain that even though Francis may be a heretic, this does not mean he cannot be the Pope. One way to do that is to attempt to find historical precedent, parallels in history to the situation today, where there was a Pope who — supposedly — was a heretic and yet remained Pope, with a church that “resisted” him.… READ MORE

Not all ignorance is bliss…

Culpable Ignorance & the Great Apostasy:
A Sobering Reality Check

During last year’s Fatima Conference sponsored by the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen (CMRI) in Spokane, Washington, Mr. Jeffrey Knight, pictured above, gave a most informative lecture on the subject of every Catholic’s duty to know his Faith, even, and especially, in our difficult times. Too often, people try to take the easy way out and find excuses to not investigate what the Catholic Faith requires us to hold — and how it requires us to act — with respect to the Modernists in the Vatican claiming to be the legitimate Roman Catholic authorities.… READ MORE

Response to “The Remnant”

Is Francis a Valid Pope?
—Why It Does Matter

In a blog post published on October 25, 2014 by The Remnant, pseudonymous author ‘Megaera Erinyes’ tries a new approach to the issue of Sedevacantism, the question of whether Francis is in fact a valid Pope or an illicit usurper: She says it doesn’t matter.

Now that’s just rich for a publication that has spent considerable amounts of ink opposing Sedevacantism over the decades. What is going on here?

In what follows, we will look at some salient points made in the Erinyes article and contrast them with traditional Catholic teaching to explain why it really does matter if Francis is the Pope.… READ MORE

Get the Popcorn ready…

How Long Until Schism?
The Vatican II Sect on the Brink of Chaos

The Synod on the Family had not even started yet, and already all hell was breaking loose: Francis’ endless tyranny against the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate over their slight drift towards traditionalism; The Remnant’s much-hyped Petition to Stop the Synod’s embarrassing failure to get even 1,400 unverified signatures; Novus Ordo cardinals being at each other’s throats over what the Synod is and isn’t permitted to change; Francis’ invitation of Belgium’s scandal-ridden “Cardinal” Daneels to participate in the synod while showing conservative-minded “bishops” the door (he did once work as a bouncer, you know); and on top of all this, a respected Italian journalist’s well-timed release of a book making the case that Francis isn’t even a valid Pope!… READ MORE

More Relevant Now than Ever…

St. Francis of Assisi Prophecy:

“A Man, not Canonically Elected, will be raised to the Pontificate… In those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor, but a Destroyer.”

Shortly before he died in 1226, St. Francis of Assisi called together the members of his order and warned them of great tribulations that would befall the Church in the future, saying:

Act bravely, my Brethren; take courage, and trust in the Lord. The time is fast approaching in which there will be great trials and afflictions; perplexities and dissensions, both spiritual and temporal, will abound; the charity of many will grow cold, and the malice of the wicked will increase.

The Catholic Church and the “Conciliar” Church: Two Churches in One?

Bp. Donald Sanborn dismantles a Linchpin Doctrine of Recognize-and-Resist Theology

In his June 2014 newsletter, Bp. Donald Sanborn, rector of the sedevacantist Most Holy Trinity Seminary in Brooksville, Florida, provides an insightful perspective on the ontological status of what we like to call the “Novus Ordo Sect”, “Vatican II Church” or “Conciliar Church” and the panacean role this concept, in modified form, plays in the ever-convenient but thoroughly erroneous “recognize-and-resist” position, which acknowledges Francis as Pope but rejects his teachings, disciplines, and canonizations. The recognize-and-resisters effectively believe that there are two churches in one — the true one and a false one — and it is their task to figure out when the true Church is speaking and when the false one rears its ugly head.

We had said before that “Pope” Francis is a walking copy of Sedevacantism for Dummies, so we decided to create this spoofed cover. For all of those who are terribly offended at this, please keep in mind the nature and purpose of satire: to draw attention to something that is wrong or evil by the use of humor, irony, or exaggeration.

In this case, there is not too much exaggeration actually. In fact — and this is what makes this spoofed cover so funny — every single item mentioned is grounded in fact, in something that has actually happened.… READ MORE

Bergoglio Has Nothing to Lose
…Like the Papacy, for Example

That skullcap was never his anyway!

SINCE JORGE MARIO BERGOGLIO’S election in March 2013, I’ve heard from more and more traditional Catholics who are starting to wonder whether sedevacantism might now be the only coherent way to explain the state of affairs in the post-Vatican II church. As I noted in a post late last year:

“After all, how can you reconcile the countless outrageous public statements that Bergoglio has made (no Catholic God, who am I to judge, doctrinal security is not possible, proselytism is nonsense, etc.)
