Bad news for Resignationists and all those who believe that “Pope Emeritus” Benedict XVI is gravely at odds with his offbeat successor, Jorge Bergoglio. The Italian newspaper La Repubblica reports that in a Jan. 24, 2014 letter Joseph Ratzinger wrote to his former colleague and collaborator Hans Kung, he expressed his satisfaction to be united to “Pope” Francis not only by a “cordial friendship” but also — and this is clearly much more important — by a shared concurrence of points-of-view:

“I am grateful to be joined to Pope Francis by a great agreement of views and a cordial friendship”, the retired Benedict wrote to arch-apostate Hans Kung, who basically denies every Catholic dogma in the book, including that of the Most Holy Trinity, and who announced in 2013 that he is considering committing suicide as he is now advanced in years and suffers from Parkinson’s Disease and doesn’t really see the point of sticking around.… READ MORE

On October 7, 2013, the Anglican Communion News Service published a report by the Church of Ireland Gazette according to which the Novus Ordo “Archbishop” of Birmingham, Mr. Bernard Longley, stated that since the 1983 Novus Ordo Code of Canon Law changed the pre-Vatican II blanket prohibition against non-Catholics receiving Holy Communion and thus allowed a Protestant reception in principle, he can envision that in the future, the Vatican will expand the limited circumstances to allow a more frequent reception by heretics. It was bound to happen. Mr. Jorge Bergoglio — whom the world calls “Pope Francis” — has reintroduced the repulsive ‘Bent Cross’ Crozier (sometimes referred to as the “Broken Cross”), after Benedict XVI had, for the most part, abandoned it. The indult blog Rorate Caeli has the story.

The “bent cross” ferula, or staff, which is a hideous rendition of a crucifix, shows our Lord’s legs immodestly spread apart and shows the cross bars bent, rather than straight. The following photos show that this “crucifix” is repulsive indeed, dishonors Christ, and does not inspire pious thoughts:
