The Traditional Mask is Off:

Commentary on Francis’ Move against the Latin Mass
(PODCAST)

July 16, 2021 has been a very eventful day, and at its conclusion we present to you this podcast, almost half an hour in length, analysing and evaluating Francis’ controversial motu proprio Traditionis Custodes as well as its accompanying explanatory letter. We also provide some important initial commentary on this historic development, putting it in context for all who are trying to understand what in the world has happened to the Roman Catholic Church:

Our initial post announcing the suppression of the 1962 Missal by Francis can be found here:

There will be much more to come on this topic as additional developments arise and more and more people weigh in on the future of the Traditional Latin Mass in the Vatican II Church.… READ MORE

The Party Is Over: Francis kills ‘Summorum Pontificum’, severely limits Use of 1962 Missal

[LAST UPDATED: 16-JUL-2021 12:44 UTC]

Breaking news from Vatican City: Benedict XVI’s motu proprio letter Summorum Pontificum, which introduced the wide acceptance of the so-called Traditional Latin Mass, that is, the use of the Roncalli Missal of 1962, is history.

With a stroke of the pen, the phony “Vicar of Christ” Jorge Bergoglio, also known as “Pope” Francis, has abrogated the document the traditionalists in the Vatican II Church have clung to as the bedrock enabling their “Latin Mass culture”. Logical chickens are now coming home to roost.… READ MORE

Removing the traditional mask…

Francis reportedly tells Italian “Bishops” he will revoke Benedict XVI’s Universal Latin Mass Authorization

The Argentinian Jesuit who calls himself “Pope Francis” (Jorge Bergoglio) has always been a defender of the rights of tradition. The only exception he makes is for Roman Catholic tradition.

For example, in his encylical letter on human fraternity, the false pope quotes the Chilean Novus Ordo cardinal Raúl Silva Henríquez (1907-99), saying:

Let us not forget that “peoples that abandon their tradition and, either from a craze to mimic others or to foment violence, or from unpardonable negligence or apathy, allow others to rob their very soul, end up losing not only their spiritual identity but also their moral consistency and, in the end, their intellectual, economic and political independence”.

Vatican “Cardinal” Koch: Traditional Latin Mass and Novus Ordo Rite need to be Fused Together

Guess which rite he prefers: Kurt Koch (b. 1950)

The Swiss Modernist “Cardinal” Kurt Koch is the Vatican’s chief of ecumenism. In January of 2017, he complained that there was no consensus on even so much as the goal of ecumenism. In other words, they’re all journeying, as Francis likes to say, they just have no idea towards what. All they know is that they’ve got to keep moving forward.

As an ecumenist and liturgist, Mr.… READ MORE

Semi-Trads Alarmed: Francis surveys Diocesan Bishops on Summorum Pontificum Latin Mass Culture

The well-connected and journalistically-reliable Rorate Caeli blog reports today that the Unholy See, under the direction of the apostate Jesuit Jorge Bergoglio (“Pope Francis”), has sent a survey to all his Roman rite “bishops” in the world to report on the application of Benedict XVI’s 2007 motu proprio letter Summorum Pontificum, which essentially granted all priests of the Vatican II Church the right to celebrate Mass according to the Roman Missal of 1962, commonly (though not entirely correctly) known as the “Traditional Latin Mass.”

Rorate Caeli has posted a copy of the actual survey and its cover letter, dated Mar.… READ MORE

As we quickly approach the tenth anniversary of Summorum Pontificum, Benedict XVI’s unjustly celebrated motu proprio that supposedly “freed” the Traditional Latin Mass by permitting every presbyter of the Vatican II Sect to use the 1962 Missal for the celebration of at least private Masses, we are starting to see a number of articles in the Novus Ordo press about what has been accomplished ten years after Benedict XVI’s landmark decision.

About three months after the release of Summorum Pontificum on July 7, 2007, we published our own critical analysis of the “papal” document we have justly termed a “motu inapproprio“:

“One and the Same Rite”?
How Benedict XVI’s Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum Aims to Destroy the Traditional Latin Mass

After about a year of rumors, on July 7, 2007, Fr. Joseph Ratzinger (“Pope Benedict XVI”) finally released an “Apostolic Letter motu proprio,” entitled Summorum Pontificum, on the use of the Roman Missal of 1962, the liturgical rite that is referred to by many as the “Traditional Latin Mass.” This document grants a fairly wide permission to priests in the Novus Ordo Church to use the 1962 Missal (of John XXIII) instead of the 1970 Missal (of Paul VI) for their celebration of Mass, though it does not do away with all conditions and restrictions, as we will see below.… READ MORE

Francis: Traditional Latin Mass just a “Fad” that “doesn’t need much Attention”

It’s just a “fad”, folks…

By way of the Rorate Caeli blog, news is reaching us today of something the “Holy Father” reportedly said Feb. 14, 2014, in an audience with the Novus Ordo bishops of the Czech Republic. The “Archbishop” of Olomouc, Mr. Jan Graubner, relates the following:

When we were discussing those who are fond of the ancient liturgy and wish to return to it, it was evident that the Pope speaks with great affection, attention, and sensitivity for all in order not to hurt anyone.

“Anything to the Contrary Notwithstanding”:
Francis Forbids “Old Mass” for Franciscan Religious Order

UPDATE 12/8/13 20:38 GMT

The “Apostolic Commissioner” Volpi has now officially admitted that the real reason for the suppression of the 1962 Missal for the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate is that they are “traditionalist” and perhaps even “crypto-Lefebvrian.” SEE STORY HERE.

UPDATE 8/1/13 00:35 GMT

According to Vaticanist Giuseppe Nardi, it was a mere 6 members of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate — out of a total of 800 — who accomplished the prohibition of the 1962 Missal for their order by the Vatican. … READ MORE
