Today is the great 100th Anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima, Portugal — a perfect time to stop for a moment and recall to mind and ponder the great events that took place during the incredibly momentous year of 1917. What follows is a brief historical review, and then a list of resources at the end.

Our Lady of Fatima: A Brief Overview

The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three little shepherd children at a field called Cova da Iria at Fatima for a total of six different times, between May 13 and October 13, 1917.… READ MORE

MONSTER-ANCE:

Francis and the “Blessed Sacrament” at Fatima

It happened around 12:07 pm local time at Fatima, Portugal, on May 13, 2017. “Pope” Francis concluded his worship service on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady of Fatima and the “canonization” of Francisco and Jacinta Marto, and proceeded to the scheduled benediction rite of the “Blessed Sacrament”. This is when his assistants put a “ventilator monstrance” on the altar that was probably supposed to remind people of the Miracle of the Sun which took place at Fatima on Oct. 13, 1917.

Stiff-kneed as ever, Francis stood there like a stubborn little school boy, refusing to kneel before what he claims to believe is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ.… READ MORE

The True Third Secret of Fatima?

“A Wicked Council… The Church will Bleed from all Her Wounds”

[Disclaimer: The following text is based on an alleged private revelation that has not been approved (nor condemned) by the Catholic Church. Catholics must exercise great caution with regard to alleged private revelations. In general, we ought to stay away from unapproved private revelations, and we ought not to attach ourselves even to approved private revelations, which are not necessary for salvation and can never be on a par with, much less revise, Catholic doctrine. We present this unapproved alleged private revelation only to help shed greater light on the approved Fatima apparitions of 1917 and the controversy surrounding Fatima’s Third Secret.]READ MORE

Third Secret of Fatima Controversy

Fr. Döllinger Testimony?
—Ratzinger Denies

[UPDATE 21-MAY-2016 23:41 UTC: Fr. Dollinger stands by his account, One Peter Five reports]

Although he first revealed this well over a decade ago, Fr. Ingo Dollinger’s recent re-affirmation — and its subsequent publication on the internet — that “Cardinal” Joseph Ratzinger (later “Pope” Benedict XVI) had told him personally in 2000 that there was still a part of the Third Secret of Fatima that had not yet been disclosed, a part that speaks of a “bad council and a bad Mass”, has made waves so large that they have reached all the way into Vatican City.

The Novus Ordo Church and Fatima:
Separating Fact from Fiction

May 13 of this year marked the 99th anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady of Fatima in 1917. The Blessed Virgin Mary chose to appear to three shepherd children in a field called the Cova da Iria in Fatima, Portugal, on the very day the future Pope Pius XII, Eugenio Pacelli, was consecrated a bishop by Pope Benedict XV in the Sistine Chapel in Rome. It was Pius XII who would later become known as the “Fatima Pope”, establishing the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1944 (feast day: Aug.… READ MORE

Restoration Radio:
Devotion to Our Lady of Fatima and Her Message

October 13, 2014, marked exactly 97 years since the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the three peasant children at Fatima in Portugal to once again beg the world to heed Her dire warnings and convert their lives and specifically to pray the Holy Rosary daily.

In this Restoration Radio broadcast, Father Benedict Hughes, CMRI, discusses in great detail the message of Fatima. While it is well assumed that most who will listen to this show are familiar with the essential message of Our Lady of Fatima already, Fr.… READ MORE

Benedict XVI and the “Prophetic Mission of Fatima”

[UPDATED 16-MAY-2016]

Every so often, someone with a soft spot for the old Modernist Joseph Ratzinger (“Pope” Benedict XVI) digs up a quote from a homily he gave in 2010 (see video above) in which he speaks somewhat cryptically about the apparitions of our Lady at Fatima and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary:

We would be mistaken to think that Fatima’s prophetic mission is complete. Here there takes on new life the plan of God which asks humanity from the beginning: “Where is your brother Abel […] Your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground!”

New Evidence Confirms
Two Sister Lucys of Fatima

twolucys2.jpg

Is this really one and the same woman?

Some Background

On May 13, 1917, the very day when Pope Benedict XV consecrated the future Pope Pius XII a bishop, the Mother of God first appeared to three shepherd children at a place called Cova da Iria at Fatima, Portugal. The eldest of the three was Lucia de Jesus dos Santos, who later widely came to be known simply as “Sister Lucy” of Fatima. The Blessed Virgin appeared a total of six times to the children, always on the 13th day of the month, from May to October of the same year.

Italian Magazine Publishes Alleged Text
of True Third Secret of Fatima

The July/August 2013 issue of Chiesa Viva [“Living Church”] magazine is dedicated to what it claims is the true Third Secret of Fatima. It features Dr. Franco Adessa’s article “The Third Secret of Fatima: A Testimony.” According to Adessa, the now-deceased Fr. Luigi Villa, who reportedly had a mandate from Pope Pius XII to uncover and expose Freemasonry in the Catholic Church and to defend her from it, knew from Cardinal Alfredo Ottaviani (d. 1979) that the text published in the German magazine Neues Europa [“New Europe”] in 1963, though not itself the Third Secret, contained all of the sentences of the real Third Secret.… READ MORE

A feigned devotion…

“Pope” Francis & Our Lady of Fatima

It is quite disheartening to see just how many good-willed but yet seriously-misled people in the Novus Ordo and semi-traditionalist circles are ignoring the cold hard facts about Jorge Mario Bergoglio in order to be able to continue to entertain the heart-warming idea that the man is the Pope of the Catholic Church. Bergoglio — “Pope Francis — does not have a single Catholic bone in his body, as our Francis Page amply demonstrates, yet so many are just taken in by the white cassock and the papal claim that they cannot – or are unwilling to – draw the necessary conclusions from the facts we know about him.

Fatima Connection?
Same Old Junk from The Remnant

This episode of “The Remnant Underground” by Mr. Michael Matt is nothing more than an agenda-driven twisting of the facts. The Remnant desperately wants to believe in — and push — a Benedict XVI who is a friend and supporter of Fatima and the True Faith and the True Mass, so they use half-truths to paint a picture of Benedict XVI they want you to believe in. The objective facts, however, tell quite a different story. See for yourself:

Lies and Half-Truths vs. Reality

  • Matt claims: Benedict XVI agrees with Traditional Catholics that the Traditional Mass was never abrogated
Truth: Yes, Benedict did say this, but it was a lie: In truth the Traditional Mass was suppressed, which is why you needed an “indult” to be allowed to offer it (see How Benedict Destroys the Traditional Mass)
  • Matt claims: Benedict XVI changed “For All” to “For Many” in the New Mass because he agrees that to say “For All” is a lie
Truth: While Benedict did change “For All” (“Pro Omnibus“) back to “For Many” (“Pro Multis“), he did not concede that “For All” is wrong but that it is an “interpretation” rather than a pure translation, which, however, “was and remains very reasonable” – he does not abandon the conciliar theology behind “For All”: See Benedict’s own ridiculous explanation here and compare it to the reason given by the Roman Catechism (1566) for rejecting “For All”: “With reason, therefore, were the words ‘for all’ not used, as in this place the fruits of the Passion are alone spoken of, and to the elect only did His Passion bring the fruit of salvation” (source)
  • Matt claims: Benedict, through his example, shows he wants Communion in the Hand to be done away with
    Truth: This is a lie.

No Friend of Fatima:

Unspinning Christopher Ferrara’s Defense of Benedict XVI

Forever trying to persuade his readers, and presumably himself, that “Pope” Benedict XVI is “our only friend in the Vatican” – quite in contradiction to his former sarcastic use of the same phrase in reference to the very same Joseph Ratzinger – New Jersey-based attorney Christopher A. Ferrara is still busy claiming that Benedict XVI is a genuine friend of the message of Our Lady of Fatima, specifically of the Third Secret, which, he argues (and Novus Ordo Watch agrees), has only been released in part by the Vatican.

Though it is easy to understand why a man who is a lawyer by profession should habitually write in a rhetorically-persuasive style, desiring to get his readership to agree with his position, it is nonetheless not tolerable that a position should be allowed to continue to be put forth that has been clearly refuted.… READ MORE

Signs and Wonders: Answering the ‘Sedevacantism Has No Miracles’ Objection

Occasionally, people who are looking for the true Catholic position in our times will say that they choose not to embrace Sedevacantism because there are no miracles associated with it that would testify to its truth.

This objection is somewhat odd because it apparently supposes that Sedevacantism is a new religion that must back up its claims with miracles in order to establish its own credibility. In reality, however, it is quite the reverse: the Vatican II religion is the new religion, whereas Sedevacantism is simply the result of applying the known perennial Catholic truth to the bizarre circumstances of our present time.… READ MORE

Reaction Roundup: Semi-Trads Lose It after Francis Pulls the Plug on Strickland

Unless you were under a rock the past three days, chances are you’ve heard about 65-year-old ‘Bishop’ Joseph Edward Strickland of Tyler, Texas, being removed from his post by Jorge Bergoglio, the Argentinian apostate currently occupying the Vatican guest house under the stage name ‘Pope Francis’. We blogged about it when it on Saturday:

It was a given that this development, not unexpected, would generate a tidal wave of reactions, and so it has.… READ MORE
