On May 24, 2017, the Spanish-language blog Catapulta — to all appearances an Argentinian web site of the recognize-and-resist position — published a post breaking the news that “Pope” Francis has written a letter to the anti-Catholic activist Hebe de Bonafini.

De Bonafini is a left-wing extremist from Bergoglio’s home turf of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The 88-year-old woman is co-founder and president of the Asociación Madres de Plaza de Mayo (Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo Association).
