All of a sudden, he’s got nothing to say!
Talkative Bergoglio Shamefully SILENT on Olympic Blasphemy

By now, everyone has heard about the incredibly vile and utterly Satanic mockery of the Last Supper that took place on July 26, 2024, as part of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games currently underway in Paris, France.
It was surely no accident that about 24 hours later, Paris suffered an electric blackout which only left the Basilica of the Sacred Heart (Sacré-Cœur) illuminated.
A number of Novus Ordo prelates and personalities quickly weighed in on the matter, although in different ways. Among the first to condemn the garbage were ‘Bishops’ Donald Hying of Madison, Wisconsin, and Robert Barron of Winona-Rochester, Minnesota.
The Novus Ordo bishops of France released a shockingly lackluster and incredibly underwhelming statement that merely expressed how they “profoundly deplore” (déplorons très profondément) what happened, while still praising the opening ceremony as a whole. Here are the key portions:
Last night’s opening ceremony, organized by the French COJOP, offered the world a marvelous display of beauty and joy, rich in emotion and universally acclaimed.
This ceremony unfortunately included scenes of mockery and derision of Christianity, which we deeply regret. We would like to thank the members of other religious denominations who have expressed their solidarity with us.
(“Paris Games: Press Release from the French Bishops’ Conference [CEF] and the Holy Games Project”, Conférence des Évêques de France, July 2024)
In a public post on X (Twitter), the notorious ‘Abp.’ Vincenzo Paglia, president of the Vatican’s so-called Pontifical Academy for Life, only noted that the French Novus Ordo bishops “rightly deplored” the Satanic spectacle, before announcing that the incident “reveals a profound question: everyone, absolutely everyone, wants to sit at that table where Jesus gives life for everyone and teaches love.” These people are beyond parody!
Of course the apostate Jesuit publication America opined that “I don’t think Jesus cares all that much” about being offended. We have come to expect nothing else from that rag.
While the abominable mockery of Christ and Christians at the occult opening ceremony was perversely evil, of course, nevertheless it is something not unexpected of a world that is, and is happy to remain, under the dominion of the devil, who is its “prince” (Jn 12:31). Such a world is diametrically and vehemently opposed to Jesus Christ and His holy religion. We are, then, dealing with a world that is anti-Christ.
In the Gospel, Our Blessed Lord explained the reason why the world hates Him. It is “because I give testimony of it, that the works thereof are evil” (Jn 7:7); and He prepared His true disciples to brace for persecution on account of Him:
If the world hate you, know ye, that it hath hated me before you. If you had been of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember my word that I said to you: The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for my name’s sake: because they know not him who sent me.
(John 15:18-21)
In an obvious effort at damage control, on July 28 the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee issued a half-baked apology that denied, of course, any intent to mock or offend:
- Olympic committee issues weak apology ‘if anyone was offended’ by anti-Christian opening ceremony
- Apology from the Olympics is simply not good enough. Participants confirm they did intend to mock the Last Supper
- ‘Give me a break’: Bishop Barron calls out apology by Olympics’ committee as disingenuous
Interestingly enough, the abomination in Paris drew outrage not only from people professing to be Christians. For instance, the far-left atheist French socialist Jean-Luc Mélenchon expressed his displeasure, and even the Shiite Muslim nation of Iran condemned the pageant:
Iran’s Foreign Ministry summoned the French ambassador for the insulting representation of Jesus Christ during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, Iranian media reported.
Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance stressed that “Muslims revere Jesus as a prophet of God. The insulting representation of Jesus Christ in Paris yesterday was completely offensive and crossed all red lines.”
(“Iran summons French ambassador for insulting representation of Jesus Christ during Olympic opening ceremony”, Alpha News, July 29, 2024)
There was one high-profile individual, however, who curiously had nothing to say about it at all, and that is the man who (falsely) claims to be the Vicar of Jesus Christ.
We are speaking, of course, of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who under his stage name ‘Pope Francis’ always has his mouth open. Whether it should concern the unemployment of the youth in Burkina Faso, the plight of ‘transgender’ prostitutes in Italy, or the loneliness of the elderly in Kamchatka, somehow the Bergoglian lips are always decrying every (real or imagined) injustice in the world.
Nevertheless, ‘Pope’ Francis said nothing at all about this most disgusting direct assault upon the truly infinite dignity of our Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that was perpetrated at the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Paris this past Friday.
And that’s not for the reason that the Olympics are simply not on his ‘papal’ radar, because they definitely are. As a matter of fact, Francis did mention the Games in his remarks after the Angelus on Sunday, July 28. He said verbatim:
And while there are many people in the world who suffer due to disasters and hunger, we continue to produce and sell weapons and burn resources fueling wars, large and small. This is an outrage that the international community should not tolerate, and it contradicts the spirit of brotherhood of the Olympic Games that have just begun. Let us not forget, brothers and sisters: war is defeat!
(Antipope Francis, Remarks after Angelus Address, July 28, 2024)
There you go! He is still busy decrying outrages, just not the worst of them all: derision and hatred of God Himself!
Now just imagine what Bergoglio would have said if the Olympic opening ceremony had made fun of the poor, of migrants, or of Muslims! He would have blown a gasket!
We need not even imagine, actually. We can just look at what the fake Pope did say about the burning of the Muslim Koran in Sweden last year:
“I have been outraged and disgusted at such deeds,” Pope Francis said in response to a question about last week’s incident. “Any book considered sacred by its people must be respected out of respect for those who believe in it. The freedom of expression should never be used as an excuse to offend others. Allowing that is [to be] rejected and condemned.”
(Antipope Francis; quoted in Hannah Brockhaus, “Pope Francis condemns Quran burning in interview with UAE newspaper”, Catholic World Report, July 3, 2023.)
See, Bergoglio is certainly not shy to speak out when it concerns something he actually cares about! We know what conclusions to draw, then, for the blasphemous ‘Last Supper’ parody in France.
In light of Francis’ deafening silence — so bad that even professional ‘popesplainer’ Michael Lofton doesn’t attempt to defend it — it is not surprising that the Vatican’s official newspaper, Osservatore Romano, in its July 29 edition “took no note of the disapproval and outrage expressed by Catholic bishops around the world following the drag parody of the Last Supper during the opening ceremony on July 26” (source).
As far as coverage of the blasphemous act itself in the opening ceremony, the July 27 edition of Osservatore Romano only made brief mention of what the French bishops’ statement said about it, and buried it on page 7 as part of an article on refugees at the Olympics.
Francis’ deliberate failure to condemn the terrible blasphemy in Paris — an offense which aims directly at God Himself — becomes even more striking when contrasted with what he does say about crimes committed against human beings: Not only does Francis denounce them in no uncertain terms, he even at times resorts to misappropriating the term ‘blasphemy’ to underscore their seriousness. Remember?
When we put all these facts together, what we get is as simple as it is frightful: For Francis, man is God; and Jesus Christ is merely the prop used to lure Catholics into his false ‘gospel of man’. Talk about blasphemy!
The truth is that Bergoglio has long had a penchant for (real) blasphemy. Let us never forget that on June 23, 2023, as part of a special audience for artists, Francis gave an encouraging thumbs-up to Andres Serrano, the blasphemous ‘artist’ whose most notorious work is the depiction of a Crucifix submerged in urine.
Whether it be insulting God or the saints directly in jokes or other speech, whether it be in liking or approving of offensive ‘art’, such as Christ crucified on a hammer and sickle (symoblic of Communism), or in counseling ‘tenderness’ in response to an anti-Catholic ‘art’ exhibit in Buenos Aires, somehow the Jesuit squatter in the Vatican guesthouse is always comfortable around blasphemy. No wonder, then, he’s not speaking out against the degenerate tableaux mocking the Last Supper with transvestites and sodomites.
Considering, furthermore, that silence implies consent when one has a duty to speak up, we can only conclude that ‘Pope’ Francis hasn’t voiced any objection to what happened in Paris this past Friday because he probably enjoyed it.
