Straight Talk on Vatican II

The Modernist Errors of
the Second Vatican Council

Sermon Series by Bp. Donald Sanborn

The false pope Paul VI during Vatican II (1962-65)

Restoration Radio has launched a new radio program called “From the Pulpit”, in which are presented some of the finest sermons and conferences by traditional Catholic clergymen, specifically on the errors of the Novus Ordo Religion and the truth of the Catholic Faith.

The first five shows present a series of sermons given many years ago by Bp. Donald Sanborn on the modernism of Vatican II. Delivered in his incredibly powerful style, Sanborn’s presentation of the errors of the council and the new religion it engendered is refreshingly clear and easy to follow.… READ MORE

No valid priests or bishops in 45 years…

Unholy Orders:
Paul VI’s Modernist Ordination Rite Turns 45

paul6-pontificalis.jpg
On June 18, 1968, Bp. Giovanni Battista Montini — then the head of the Vatican II Sect and known as “Pope” Paul VI — signed an “apostolic constitution” to change the Roman Catholic rite of ordination. These changes touched not only some of the more peripheral ceremonies but the very substance of the sacrament itself. The very words which Pope Pius XII, in 1947, had definitively decreed were necessary for the validity of the sacrament of holy orders, were changed by Paul VI in such a way as to render the ordination of priests doubtful and the consecration of bishops definitely invalid.… READ MORE

On the 50th Anniversary of the Death of Antipope John XXIII

It’s hard to believe, but the Novus Ordo religion has only existed for some 50+ years. It officially began after the death of Pope Pius XII with the usurpation of the papal throne by Cardinal Angelo Roncalli (1881-1963) on October 28, 1958. Roncalli’s false pontificate was relatively short but long enough for him to prepare the way for the systematic destruction of Catholicism: the appointment of Giovanni Battista Montini (“Paul VI”) as a “cardinal” in 1958 (thus realistically enabling him to become his successor, which is exactly what happened), the establishment of the “Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity”, the Vatican body dealing with ecumenical affairs and relations with Jews (1960), the introduction of the name of St.

Now they just need an actual priest to go with the actual confessionals…

Confessionals without Priests

The indult blog Rorate Caeli has posted an article that tells of a Novus Ordo parish that has experienced an increase in people going to confession after having installed traditional confessional boxes and abandoning the modernist “reconciliation room”. “Actual confessionals mean  more actual confessions,” titles Rorate Caeli. This is true, and by the same token, actual priests mean more actual absolutions. And there’s the problem: You can confess all you like, even in a traditional confessional box, but if the man on the other side isn’t a validly ordained priest, you’re not obtaining forgiveness of your sins (which was probably the point of you going to confession in the first place).

It was just a matter of time…

Francis Brings Back “Bent Cross” Crozier

It was bound to happen. Mr. Jorge Bergoglio — whom the world calls “Pope Francis” — has reintroduced the repulsive ‘Bent Cross’ Crozier (sometimes referred to as the “Broken Cross”), after Benedict XVI had, for the most part, abandoned it. The indult blog Rorate Caeli has the story.

The “bent cross” ferula, or staff, which is a hideous rendition of a crucifix, shows our Lord’s legs immodestly spread apart and shows the cross bars bent, rather than straight. The following photos show that this “crucifix” is repulsive indeed, dishonors Christ, and does not inspire pious thoughts:

This sinister-looking cross was designed by Italian Lello Scorzelli (1921-1997) during — you guessed it — the 1960s and was introduced — you guessed it again — by “Pope” Paul VI (Giovanni Battista Montini), who used it for the first time at the closing of his modernist robber synod known as the “Second Vatican Council”, on December 8, 1965.… READ MORE

“No Rupture with the Past” Update:

John Courtney Murray’s Condemned Error became Doctrine at Vatican II

Not that more proof was needed, but it doesn’t hurt: Here is yet another admission by a modernist piece of literature that the doctrine on religious liberty proclaimed by the bogus “Second Vatican Council” in 1964 is in contradiction to the prior Catholic teaching on the confessional state. The snippet above is taken from p. 333 of the book The Diocesan Seminary in the United States: A History from the 1780s to the Present by Joseph M. White (Notre Dame, IN: University of Notre Dame Press, 1989).… READ MORE

Refinishing the Great Facade:

The Vatican, the SSPX, and the “Restoration of Tradition”

“Thus saith the Lord: Stand ye on the ways, and see and ask for the old paths which is the good way, and walk ye in it: and you shall find refreshment for your souls. And they said: we will not walk.” ―Jeremias 6:16

“No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or he will hold to the one, and despise the other.” ―Our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 16:13)

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema.” READ MORE

Quo Vadis, SSPX?

The Society of St. Pius X after the
Lifting of the “Excommunications” of 1988

Bp. Bernard Fellay, SSPX Superior (1994-2018)

“The Bride of Christ cannot be made false to her Spouse: she is incorrupt and modest. She knows but one dwelling, she guards the sanctity of the nuptial chamber chastely and modestly”

(St. Cyprian, cited by Pope Pius XI, Encyclical Mortalium Animos, n. 10)

“We must be on guard against minimizing these [Traditionalist] movements. Without a doubt, they represent a sectarian zealotry that is the antithesis of Catholicity. We cannot resist them too firmly.”

(Joseph Ratzinger, Principles of Catholic Theology [Ignatius Press, 1987],  pp.

SEDE VACANTE 1958 – 2008

Reflections on a 50-Year Vacancy of the Apostolic See

Fifty years ago, around 3:50 am local time on October 9, 1958, His Holiness Pope Pius XII drew his last breath in Rome. At that time, most Catholics surely viewed this as simply an ordinary death of yet another Pope, and though lamentable, a new Pope would surely follow soon, and all would be well.

The last 50 years have proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that such was not the case. At first, everything seemed to go the usual way. The deceased Pope received a solemn funeral, and a conclave to elect his successor was scheduled for October 25.… READ MORE
