The Fatima Center Agrees: After Vatican II, the Public ‘Sister Lucy’ Was Not the Real Fatima Seer

Big news out of Canada: The Fatima Center, the organization founded by ‘Fr.’ Nicholas Gruner for promoting devotion to Our Lady of Fatima and spreading her message, is now officially acknowledging that the oldest of the three seers, Sister Lucia dos Santos, was replaced by an impostor from 1967 onwards, at least in the few public appearances she made.

This announcement was published in a pinned comment by the Fatima Center‘s YouTube channel underneath/beside a video clip that is an extract from a presentation on this very topic by David Rodríguez, the Center‘s content director:

The Fatima Center’s position is that it has been established with reasonable certainty that the woman presenting herself as Sister Lucia in all known public photos from 1967 onward was not the true Lucia.

In installment no. 1248 of his Fatima Perspectives column, self-appointed “papal” corrector and professional rhetorician Christopher A. Ferrara says that sedevacantists “never seem to notice the fatal flaw in their argument.” Quoting from a sede source he leaves curiously unidentified — this one –, the retired lawyer goes on to explain:

As Mr. John Vennari, editor of Catholic Family News reports, “Father” Nicholas Gruner of the Fatima Center in Fort Erie, Canada, has passed away. He died unexpectedly at his office in Ontario on April 29, 2015, a few days short of his 73rd birthday. The apparent cause of death was a heart attack. Most of the world believes him to be the Pope of the Catholic Church, including the majority of those who consider themselves Catholic Traditionalists or Traditional Catholics. So some of these latter wanted to give their “Pope” a nice spiritual bouquet to show their love and loyalty, but they forgot that the recipient of this bouquet isn’t a Catholic and so he doesn’t know what to do with it. In an anecdote the “Holy Father” himself related, upon his election as Francis, he got a letter from one of those (his words) “restorationist groups” in Buenos Aires, telling him: “Your Holiness, we offer you this spiritual treasure: 3,525 rosaries.”
