French SSPX in Disarray as District Superior tries to defend Removal of seven “Rebellious” Priests, Commotion at St. Nicolas in Paris

[UPDATE 19-MAY-2017 18:32 UTC: English translation of Contre-Info article added.]

As we reported on May 11, seven deans of the Lefebvrian Society of St. Pius X’s French district were removed from their positions by the district superior, Fr. Christian Bouchacourt, after disseminating and reading from the pulpit a public letter explaining their rejection of the Vatican’s recent overtures on the celebration of SSPX marriages. The open letter, which was condemned by Fr. Bouchacourt the very same day, also made clear that the seven recalcitrant SSPX priests in question are not willing to go along with any reconciliation with Modernist Rome which the Superior General, Bp.… READ MORE

Logical chickens coming home to roost…

Is Francis planning to rescind Summorum Pontificum?

Yesterday, July 26, Life Site published a piece by John-Henry Westen that has caused panic and alarm with some in the conservative Novus Ordo and semi-traditionalist world: “Vatican rumblings: Pope Francis aiming to end Latin Mass permission”.

The report contains so many details that it is necessary to quote it in full:

ROME, July 26, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – Sources inside the Vatican suggest that Pope Francis aims to end Pope Benedict XVI’s universal permission for priests to say the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM), also known as the Extraordinary Form of the Mass.

Official Logo for Francis Visit to Egypt: Christian Cross put on a par with Mohammedan Crescent

Antipope Francis, a.k.a. “Pope Sheikh”, has scheduled another one of his infamous apostate “apostolic” journeys abroad, this time to Egypt, from April 28-29. As for all other Beroglian trips outside Italy, this one too comes with its own official logo, which was just released by the “Catholic Church” in Egypt.

In the past, these logos have typically raised eyebrows, because they either looked effeminate, bizarre, or exaggerated the person of Francis to the point where in a number of cases the logo did not even include a cross or any reference to Jesus Christ (see, for example, the logo for the 2015 trip to the U.S.… READ MORE

Here is the full text of the interview as released so far:

Interview on French TV

SSPX Superior Bishop Fellay and the Vatican’s “Stamp of Approval” (now with full English Translation)

On Jan. 29, 2017, the internet-based French television station TV Libertés broadcast an interview with the Superior General of the Society of St. Pius X, Bishop Bernard Fellay. The interview, which is roughly 17 minutes in length, was part of the program Terres de Mission and can be watched here:

This video has English subtitles, and a complete English transcript is posted further below.

Bp. Fellay has essentially communicated that de facto relations between the Vatican and the SSPX are already normal, and it is not necessary to wait until everything is “totally satisfactory”. … READ MORE

Third Secret of Fatima Controversy

Fr. Döllinger Testimony?
—Ratzinger Denies

[UPDATE 21-MAY-2016 23:41 UTC: Fr. Dollinger stands by his account, One Peter Five reports]

Although he first revealed this well over a decade ago, Fr. Ingo Dollinger’s recent re-affirmation — and its subsequent publication on the internet — that “Cardinal” Joseph Ratzinger (later “Pope” Benedict XVI) had told him personally in 2000 that there was still a part of the Third Secret of Fatima that had not yet been disclosed, a part that speaks of a “bad council and a bad Mass”, has made waves so large that they have reached all the way into Vatican City.

The Novus Ordo Church and Fatima:
Separating Fact from Fiction

May 13 of this year marked the 99th anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady of Fatima in 1917. The Blessed Virgin Mary chose to appear to three shepherd children in a field called the Cova da Iria in Fatima, Portugal, on the very day the future Pope Pius XII, Eugenio Pacelli, was consecrated a bishop by Pope Benedict XV in the Sistine Chapel in Rome. It was Pius XII who would later become known as the “Fatima Pope”, establishing the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1944 (feast day: Aug.… READ MORE

Trouble in SSPX French District: Seven Deans rebel, get removed from their Positions

The 7 French deans and other priests who joined them

[Update: An English translation of the French deans’ letter has just been released by The Remnant. Also: The seven SSPX clerics in question were not mere priors, as we had previously reported, but deans, that is, heads of deaneries, which are larger geographical subdivisions containing groupings of priories. We have updated the post accordingly.]

The True Third Secret of Fatima?

“A Wicked Council… The Church will Bleed from all Her Wounds”

[Disclaimer: The following text is based on an alleged private revelation that has not been approved (nor condemned) by the Catholic Church. Catholics must exercise great caution with regard to alleged private revelations. In general, we ought to stay away from unapproved private revelations, and we ought not to attach ourselves even to approved private revelations, which are not necessary for salvation and can never be on a par with, much less revise, Catholic doctrine. We present this unapproved alleged private revelation only to help shed greater light on the approved Fatima apparitions of 1917 and the controversy surrounding Fatima’s Third Secret.]… READ MORE

Francis and the “Irreversible” Novus Ordo Liturgy: A Commentary

This past Thursday, Aug. 24, “Pope” Francis raised not a few eyebrows when during a special audience for some Italian liturgical congress he suddenly invoked his supposed “magisterial authority” to declare “that the [Novus Ordo] liturgical reform is irreversible.”

We reported on this and included some initial reactions from the blogosphere in the following post:

It is now time to publish our own commentary on Francis’ musings about the Novus Ordo liturgical revolution.… READ MORE
