Hellboy gets “papal” endorsement…
Francis sends Letter to James Martin, commending him for his LGBTQ “Pastoral Work”
Two Jesuit rainbow cheerleaders: Mr. James Martin and Mr. Jorge Bergoglio
The notorious American Jesuit “Fr.” James Martin, whom we have disaffectionately nicknamed “Hellboy”, has received a hand-written letter from the apostate Jorge Bergoglio (“Pope Francis”), dated June 21, 2021, commending him for his “ministry” to sexual perverts.
Martin published the original letter, a transcript of it, and an inofficial English translation, on his busy Twitter account today:
Pope Francis @Pontifex has sent a beautiful letter on the occasion of the Outreach LGBTQ Catholic Ministry Webinar, which happened yesterday, expressing his support for this ministry and encouraging us to imitate God's "style" of "closeness, compassion and tenderness"… pic.twitter.com/O9nTftoLDi

Needless to say, this is a big story in the Novus Ordo press. Even Vatican Media released an article on it:
- “Pope Francis: God draws near to all with the heart of a Father” (Vatican News)
- “Letter from Pope Francis Expresses Support for Fr. James Martin’s Controversial ‘LGBT’ Ministry” (National Catholic Register)
- “Francis sends long handwritten letter to fellow Jesuit James Martin congratulating him on his ‘Gay’ Conference for his ‘flock'” (Rorate Caeli)
- “Pope Francis encourages Jesuit Father James Martin in his L.G.B.T. ministry” (America)
- “Pope applauds Martin’s outreach to LGBTQ+ Catholics in webinar” (Crux)
Alas, Martin’s is not a ministry that is focused on helping those steeped in the worst kinds of impurity overcome their sins and temptations, which would be the truly charitable thing to do, but one that pretends that their disordered affections are inherently good, are part of who they are, and are willed by God.
Novus Ordo commentator Austin Ruse wrote on Twitter: “The pope does not understand what James Martin really does and says”. But that is just wishful thinking on Ruse’s part. The truth is that Francis would be utterly insulted at this totally gratuitous claim, which implies that he is either a complete nincompoop or seriously negligent in his duty to know what he’s endorsing. It’s not like it’s terribly difficult to understand what James Martin does, and his work is very visible and can easily be accessed. His book Building a Bridge has been out for over three years now, and his copious tweets are publicly available as well.
Back in 2017, Francis appointed Martin an advisor for the Vatican Dicastery for Communication. Our commentary on that appointment reviews some of the lowlights of Martin’s career, including his publicly-stated belief that sexually-confused men should be allowed to use women’s bathrooms — because “dignity”:
Also, let’s not forget the 30-minute private audience Francis granted to his fellow-Jesuit back in 2019, something the two surviving “dubia cardinals” are still waiting for today. In short, there is no reason to believe, or even suspect, that Francis is not familiar with Martin’s work, and there is every reason to believe he is quite familiar with it.
Let’s recall too that Francis himself has been very supportive of the aberrosexual agenda, in deeds more than anything:
- Francis tells Sodomite: “It does not matter … how you live your life, you do not lose your dignity”!
- Francis calls for Sodomite Civil Unions, wants Homo Couples to raise Children in Church
- Francis tells Gay Abuse Victim: “God made you like that”
- Francis says Church must ask Forgiveness of Homosexuals
- Francis and Homosexuality: A Review of Disturbing Facts
The appeal to “compassion” and “respect” by people like Martin and Francis to justify their stance is but a clever trick to promote the sodomite agenda under the pretext of charity, much like “tolerance” is used in the secular realm. How do we know that? Because this “compassion” is a one-way street. It is always invoked only in favor of certain causes that align with Bergoglio’s ideology. In vain will one look for the same “compassion” being shown to the conservatives, the “rigid”, the Latin Mass goers, the cassock wearers, the pro-lifers, the Kim Davises of the world.
Oh yeah, Kim Davis. Remember how quick the Vatican was to clarify that Francis’ meeting with her was not to be interpreted as an endorsement of her anti-LGBT position? It’s funny, isn’t it, how fast and how clearly the Vatican can communicate when they really want to.
So now, Francis has made his support of James Martin and his work abundantly clear, Austin Ruse’s make-believe notwithstanding. Perhaps Francis will just make Hellboy a “cardinal” before long. Because, you know, peripheries and stuff.
By the way: Today Francis ended his Sunday Angelus with these words: “And do not judge; do not judge the personal, social reality of others. God loves everyone! Do not judge; let others live and try to approach them with love.”
Does anyone think that Francis would ever use such words for anyone he deems rigid, racist, clericalist, or a triumphalist proselytizer clinging to certainties of the past? Fat chance! For such people the “Pope” has nothing but contempt, insults, and rejection. How much of a “let others live” approach Francis practices with regard to those who disagree with him has been visible in the case of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate years ago. “Do not judge” only works one way for him, and that’s always in favor of things like abortion, sexual impurity, and other causes the secular left celebrates.
On June 25, Hellboy had sent out a series of tweets asking for prayers “for the success of the Outreach LGBTQ Catholic Ministry webinar tomorrow”, hoping that “we can build community, share best practices and worship together, all to serve God and support God’s beloved LGBTQ people….”
Perhaps we should point out here that the only story recorded in Sacred Scripture in which God interacts directly with a whole slew of “beloved LGBTQ people” is the one in Genesis 18-19 with the fire and brimstone. In the New Testament, St. Paul indicated that the way to treat “LGBTQ Catholics” (and other unrepentant, notorious sinners) was not to build bridges but to burn bridges: “But now I have written to you, not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother, be a fornicator, or covetous, or a server of idols, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner: with such a one, not so much as to eat” (1 Cor 5:11). And no, this has nothing to do with “hate”, it has to do with loving souls the proper way.
The National Catholic Register comments: “The LGBTQ Outreach conference Fr. Martin mentioned to Pope Francis was organized by New Ways Ministries, which has been explicitly declared as a non-Catholic ministry by the U.S. bishops.” Let that sink in for a moment! “New Ways Ministry” is so bad that even the rotten American Novus Ordo bishops have a problem with it! And by the way: As far as the notion of “new ways” goes, here’s what the prophet Jeremias, writing under divine inspiration, had to say about that: “Thus saith the Lord: Stand ye on the ways, and see and ask for the old paths which is the good way, and walk ye in it: and you shall find refreshment for your souls. And they said: we will not walk” (Jer 6:16).
But never mind. People like Bergoglio and James Martin have long preached “another gospel which you have not received” (2 Cor 11:4), replacing the Word of God with “fables”, on account of their “itching ears” (2 Tim 4:3-4).
As back in biblical times, so too today “there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ” (Gal 1:7). Such “false apostles are deceitful workmen, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ” (2 Cor 11:13).
Don’t fall for them.
