De facto endorsement of sodomite unions…
Francis Says Homo Couples Are
‘Two People Who Love Each Other’
Bergoglio’s mug graces the cover of Credere magazine (Feb. 8, 2024 edition)
The Vatican’s chief anti-Catholic agitator has given another interview to the press.
We are speaking of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, of course, the Jesuit from Buenos Aires who has been squatting in the Vatican guest house under his stage name ‘Pope Francis’ since 2013.
At one point in the increasingly-distant past, a ‘papal’ interview was considered a spectacular and almost unique event. Now they’re a dime a dozen, as Bergoglio cranks them out faster than people can digest them. Barely a day goes by that the Jesuit from Buenos Aires doesn’t have something to yap about.
The latest conversation with the ‘Pope’ was published in the Feb. 8, 2024 edition of the Italian weekly periodical Credere (“Believe”). Bergoglio’s interlocutor was Rev. Vincenzo Vitale, the magazine’s editor.
The big headline on the cover page is a direct quote from the papal pretender: “How I would like a church that is closer to the people”! After almost eleven years, Bergoglio still plays the sanctimonious “Look at me, I’m a man of the people” card, when in reality of course it is at best only some people he cares to be close to, namely those that will make him look good and whom he can hijack to further his apostate agenda.
So, for example, we have seen that he is happy to be ‘close’ to every pervert and unbeliever under the sun (not excluding abortionists and blasphemers), whereas for a long time giving the cold shoulder to the family of then-imprisoned Asia Bibi, whose ‘blasphemy’ case in Muslim Pakistan threatened to rain on his interreligious parade, specifically with regard to that supposedly Abrahamic ‘religion of peace’. (Eventually, years later, he finally did receive them in audience.) His continuous ferocious treatment of the traditionalists in his church — clearly a marginalized minority one would think the great friend of the excluded and downtrodden would stick up for — will be known well enough by most readers of this blog as to require no further documentation.
The Explosive Contents of the Interview
A day before release, various news outlets had already published excerpts from the Credere interview, most notably Vatican News and La Stampa. Other news sites followed suit and covered the story:
- Pope Francis: ‘Welcome’ is at the heart of ‘Fiducia supplicans’ (Vatican News)
- Pope Francis: “No one is scandalized if I bless an entrepreneur who exploits people, while it happens if he is a homosexual. It’s hypocrisy” (English translation of La Stampa article; Italian original here)
- Pope Francis: ‘I bless two people who love each other’ not homosexual ‘marriage’ (Life Site)
- Pope Francis: I don’t bless a ‘homosexual marriage.’ I bless two people who love each other. (America)
- Pope Francis: To be ‘scandalized’ by gay couple blessings is ‘hypocrisy’ (Catholic World Report)
- Pope Francis: “People are scandalized if I give a blessing to homosexuals…this is hypocrisy” (Rome Reports)
The most explosive quotes from this latest conversation with ‘Pope Francis’ are the following:
I do not bless a ‘homosexual marriage’; I bless two people who love each other, and I also ask them to pray for me.
Always in confessions, when these situations arrive—homosexual people, remarried people—I always pray and bless. The blessing is not to be denied to anyone. Everyone, everyone. Mind you, I am talking about people: those who are capable of receiving Baptism.
The gravest sins are those that disguise themselves with a more ‘angelic’ appearance. No one is scandalised if I give a blessing to an entrepreneur who perhaps exploits people: and this is a very serious sin. Whereas they are scandalised if I give it to a homosexual… This is hypocrisy! We must all respect each other. Everyone! The heart of the document is welcome.
(Antipope Francis; quotes compiled from Vatican News article by Salvatore Cernuzio, Feb. 7, 2024.)
With these far-reaching comments, the false pope has set a new milestone. For the first time ever, at least to our knowledge, the head of the Novus Ordo Sect has publicly referred to the depraved affections indulged in by sodomite couples as “love”, thus giving implicit endorsement to the ‘love is love’ campaigns of the aberrosexual left. The spiritual damage done to souls by such ‘papal’ remarks is incalculable. But more on that in a minute.
What Francis has done here is disgraceful for another reason: He misrepresents the controversy. Blessing an individual has never been the issue. No one needs a blessing more than a sinner: “Bless me, Father, for I have sinned….” But Fiducia Supplicans, the recent declaration issued by the dicastery of the ‘Porn Prefect’ Victor Manuel Fernandez with the approval of the Jesuit apostate, is controversial precisely for green-lighting the blessing of sexually depraved couples.
Section III of the declaration explicitly concerns itself with “Blessings of Couples in Irregular Situations and of Couples of the Same Sex” (underlining added). Its ridiculous stipulations about spontaneity, lack of fixed wording, etc., are just smoke and mirrors to obfuscate the matter so as to soften the blow and give the desperate conservatives something to latch onto. We all know that such “fine print” will simply be ignored in practice.
Bergoglio’s accusation of ‘hypocrisy’ against those who would bless “an entrepreneur who perhaps [!] exploits people” is disingenuous. One of his own fellow-Jesuits, the Rev. Peter Ryan, blows that false analogy out of the water:
First, to bless the businessman is to bless an individual. By contrast, “LGBT blessings” does not refer to the blessing of individuals. Rather, Fiducia Supplicans is about “blessing couples in irregular situations and same-sex couples.”
Second, to bless this businessman is to bless someone who perhaps exploits people. If he does, he may or may not be aware of it, and if he is aware of it, he may or may not intend to continue the exploitation despite the blessing. One hopes that if he is aware of exploiting people, the blessing becomes the occasion of his following the example of Zacchaeus, who responded beautifully to the blessing of having Jesus in his home: “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold” (Lk 19:8).
In any case, if there is no reason to think that the businessman seeks the blessing as approval of his exploitative practices, neither he nor onlookers are likely to regard the blessing as approval.
By contrast, to bless “couples in irregular situations and same-sex couples” does not refer to blessing people who perhaps engage in non-marital sex. Rather, since the recipients of the blessing are described—in slightly euphemistic official language—as being in illicit sexual relationships, the controversy to which the Pope alludes concerns acts of blessing recipients identified precisely by reference to their sin.

Interested readers are encouraged to read the remainder of Rev. Ryan’s article, which contains additional powerful argumentation.
Putting New Premises in Place
Let us make no mistake about it. Francis is currently busy sowing premises, from which either he or one of his successors will reap a rich harvest of logical conclusions down the road — just when the time is ‘right’ for a little ‘doctrinal development’.
We can see a successful historical precedent in that regard in the ‘developed’ teaching on capital punishment. Vatican II and ‘Pope’ Paul VI began sowing the seeds with their excessive emphasis on hu’man dignity. Thereupon followed ‘Pope’ John Paul II with his focus on ‘life issues’, in which he lumped the death penalty together with intrinsic evils such as abortion and euthanasia, declaring in the first edition of the 1992 Catechism of the Catholic Church (n. 2267) that executions “should” not be used if there are other ways to punish a capital offender effectively. In 1995 he issued the encyclical Evangelium Vitae, in which he went even further. Now capital punishment was permitted only “in cases of absolute necessity”, which he said were “very rare, if not practically non-existent” (n. 56). A subsequent 2nd edition of the Catechism reflected John Paul’s new teaching.
In 2018, ‘Pope’ Francis finished the job, so to speak, by changing the Catechism yet again, this time declaring that “the Church teaches, in the light of the Gospel, that ‘the death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person’”. The source provided for that latest doctrinal update was a speech he himself had given the prior year, on Oct. 11, 2017.
It is evident that none of this constitutes genuine doctrinal development, but rather doctrinal corruption. After all, the traditional teaching on the death penalty — namely, that “far from involving the crime of murder, [it] is an act of paramount obedience to this [Fifth] Commandment which prohibits murder” (Catechism of the Council of Trent) — has not been made more precise or otherwise elaborated upon, it has been contradicted and overturned. The traditional teaching had been upheld by the true Popes all the way through the pontificate of Pius XII (see n. 33 here), but once Vatican II got underway, the floodgates for doctrinal change were open.
In short, what was morally right from practically the beginning of time (see Gen 9:6) until 1958 is morally wrong now, not simply on account of different circumstances but in very principle. In his 2017 speech just referenced, Francis called capital punishment “per se contrary to the Gospel”, thus leaving no doubt that if his new teaching is true, then the traditional teaching must have been false.
Thus we have learned to watch for premises being put in place that can later be used to draw unsound but logically necessary conclusions. What Francis has just done is given ‘papal’ sanction to the idea that the “shameful affections” (Rom 1:26) entertained between two people of the same sex constitute true love. That is a huge development from which consequences naturally follow and will eventually be drawn. The fact that, for the moment, this has been communicated only in an interview and not an official ‘papal’ document, is not that significant. The point is that the idea of homosexual love has now been introduced into Novus Ordo consciousness. From this, other conclusions can be deduced.
In fact, it is not difficult to envision how this might be used eventually to infer the acceptability of what is popularly called ‘gay marriage’, that is, a sodomitic travesty mocking holy matrimony. Combined with the ‘findings of natural science’, which will no doubt tell us that homosexual attraction is supposedly ‘natural’ and therefore ‘willed by God’ who ‘made them like that’; and combined with incessant calls not to ‘discriminate’ against these poor ‘excluded’ minorities, Bergoglio’s endorsement of sodomite ‘love’ can quickly lead to an acceptance of sodomite unions — thus yielding precisely the revolutionary theological paradigm shift Francis has already called for.
It may have started with mere blessings, but it certainly will not end there.
Concluding Thoughts
To conclude, let us consider that the first blessings recorded in Holy Scripture are those endowing certain creatures with the ability to procreate — first the animals, then mankind:
And God created the great whales, and every living and moving creature, which the waters brought forth, according to their kinds, and every winged fowl according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. And he blessed them, saying: Increase and multiply, and fill the waters of the sea: and let the birds be multiplied upon the earth. And God created man to his own image: to the image of God he created him: male and female he created them. And God blessed them, saying: Increase and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and all living creatures that move upon the earth.
(Genesis 1:21-22;27-28)
How sodomites abuse the generative faculties God gave them for the primary purpose of procreation, cannot be described here for obvious reasons. The seriousness of the vice is reflected, however, in the following passage written by St. Paul:
Wherefore God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleanness, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use which is against nature. And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error. And as they liked not to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them up to a reprobate sense, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all iniquity, malice, fornication, avarice, wickedness, full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, malignity, whisperers, detractors, hateful to God, contumelious, proud, haughty, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, foolish, dissolute, without affection, without fidelity, without mercy. Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them.
(Romans 1:24-32)
Let no man bless, therefore, what God has cursed: “Woe to you that call evil good, and good evil: that put darkness for light, and light for darkness: that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter” (Isaias 5:20).
That God can turn putative blessings into curses, is revealed in the Old Testament:
And now, O ye priests, this commandment is to you. If you will not hear, and if you will not lay it to heart, to give glory to my name, saith the Lord of hosts: I will send poverty upon you, and will curse your blessings, yea I will curse them, because you have not laid it to heart.
(Malachias 2:1-2)
May heaven protect us from the wrath of Almighty God that Bergoglio is provoking with these blasphemous pseudo-blessings!
