After about a year of rumors, on July 7, 2007, Fr. Joseph Ratzinger (“Pope Benedict XVI”) finally released an “Apostolic Letter motu proprio,” entitled Summorum Pontificum, on the use of the Roman Missal of 1962, the liturgical rite that is referred to by many as the “Traditional Latin Mass.” This document grants a fairly wide permission to priests in the Novus Ordo Church to use the 1962 Missal (of John XXIII) instead of the 1970 Missal (of Paul VI) for their celebration of Mass, though it does not do away with all conditions and restrictions, as we will see below.

An Eye-Opening Reality Check…

The “Canonization” of John Paul II:
A Catholic Perspective

(55 pages; 676 KB)

Novus Ordo Watch is pleased to present this eye-opening, meticulously-documented research paper, which shows the absurdity and impossibility of the idea that Karol Wojtyla, “Pope John Paul II,” is a Roman Catholic saint. Divided into several parts, this essay first expounds the Catholic understanding of sainthood and the authority and infallibility of canonizations, and then proceeds to examine the case of John Paul II in particular.

Written for a popular audience in an easy-to-follow style, this article presents the Catholic teaching from solid traditional catechisms and other reliable Catholic authorities, rather than from complex or specialized theological treatises.

The Crucifix of Cevo:
Its Connection with John Paul II and Paul VI

After the collapse of the hideous Crucifix of Cevo that killed a 21-year-old Italian hiker, Chiesa Viva has republished an article by Fr. Luigi Villa about the event at which the crucifix was originally used, on September 20, 1998, led by John Paul II, who glorified Paul VI.

LAST UPDATED 12-JUL-2019

The British paper The Telegraph is reporting that a 21-year-old hiker by the name of Marco Gusmini has died after a large distorted crucifix suddenly snapped and crushed him as he was enjoying a picnic with friends right underneath it. The Modernist crucifix had been created for the 1998 visit of the false “Pope” John Paul II to Brescia in Northern Italy, but has since been transferred to the nearby village of Cevo.

Video of Interreligious Prayer Gathering in Assisi 1986

“Saint” John Paul the Great… Apostate!

The above video clip shows more of the “saintly” deeds of the apostate bishop Karol Wojtyla, best known under his pseudonym “Pope John Paul II”. This is the man the current usurper in Rome, “Pope” Francis, will “canonize” as a “Catholic Saint” on April 27 of this year.

The 1986 Assisi Interreligious Prayer for Peace gathering was one of the most outrageous acts of blasphemy ever committed by the Vatican II Sect, in a Catholic holy place! A whole book could be written about the event and how diametrically opposed it is to traditional Catholic teaching, but in this blog post we can only touch upon some select points.

Beware of False Apparitions & Suspect Devotions…

Why did the 1959 Holy Office Condemn the “Divine Mercy” Devotion?

Only few people have never heard of the so-called “Divine Mercy” devotion. It has its origin in the alleged visions of a Polish nun by the name of Sr. Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938), a member of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy. The “Divine Mercy” devotion is extremely popular in the Vatican II Church, owing for the most part to the efforts of the apostate bishop Karol Wojtyla, first as the “Archbishop” of Cracow, then as “Pope” John Paul II.

A great number of traditional Catholics, as well, have been led to accept this devotion, which, unfortunately, is sometimes confused with the most noble and laudable devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which is based chiefly on the revelations of Our Lord to St.

More Mayhem on the Way?

Vatican’s Rules on Communion for Protestants could be further Relaxed

On October 7, 2013, the Anglican Communion News Service published a report by the Church of Ireland Gazette according to which the Novus Ordo “Archbishop” of Birmingham, Mr. Bernard Longley, stated that since the 1983 Novus Ordo Code of Canon Law changed the pre-Vatican II blanket prohibition against non-Catholics receiving Holy Communion and thus allowed a Protestant reception in principle, he can envision that in the future, the Vatican will expand the limited circumstances to allow a more frequent reception by heretics. Said Mr. Longley:

Given that that represents a change, and a very significant shift away from the impossibility to the limited possibility, then I could imagine and foresee one of the fruits of our ecumenical engagement as moving towards a deeper understanding of communion and a deeper sharing, a deeper communion between our Churches which perhaps would lead to reconsideration of some of the circumstances.

The Return of John Paul II: Francis Dons Indigenous Headdress

“Pope” Francis dons Indigenous Headdress during World Youth Day Celebrations in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Saturday, July 27, 2013. There is now also a video available (CAUTION! IMMODESTY).

This bears striking resemblance to John Paul II, who never saw a pagan tradition he didn’t like. Click on each image for the story behind it.

It’s becoming painfully obvious that Francis is a blend of John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I, and John Paul II all rolled into one. “John Paul III” would have been a better name for him.

In View of John Paul II’s Impending “Canonization”

Decision Time for The Remnant:

Is the Novus Ordo Church the True Church or a Counterfeit Church?

For decades the semi-traditionalists at The Remnant have been reporting on the apostasy of the Vatican II Church: its evil disciplines, its erroneous and heretical teachings, its impious liturgical laws, its scandalous clergy, its wicked practices. In short, they have been making the overall case that the Novus Ordo Church is the exact opposite of a trustworthy guide in matters of eternal salvation, that it is not the Ark of Salvation but the Ark of Damnation.

Hell-Bent on Canonizing the Council…

“Pope” Francis to “Canonize” John Paul II and John XXIII

The photo on the left was allegedly taken at Beskid Zywiecki in Poland when John Paul II died on April 2, 2005. Novus Ordo adherents, no longer believing in the fires of hell, have hailed it as an “apparition” of their beloved John Paul II, apparently forgetting that someone appearing as being consumed by a fire is a sign of damnation more than anything else.

On July 5, 2013, His Phoniness “Pope” Francis announced that he had approved the second “miracle” allegedly worked by Karol Wojtyla (“Bl.” John Paul II) and would declare a “saint” the apostate who made billions believe he was the Pope of the Catholic Church from 1978 until 2005 — an accomplishment that could quite possibly be termed his first “miracle”.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta in 1989:
“I Love All Religions”

Hailed by the world and the Vatican II Sect as a “saint”, the woman known as Mother Teresa engaged indeed in heroic corporal works of mercy – however, only at the expense of the spiritual works of mercy, which are, by their very nature, more important and more excellent than the corporal works.

Though she no doubt cared for the bodily needs of the poor in a most selfless fashion, the sad truth is that “Blessed” Mother Teresa – as she is called in the Novus Ordo Church – was not a Roman Catholic but an apostate from the Faith, and all the most heroic charitable works cannot make an apostate into a Catholic.

“Saint” John Paul II Strikes Again…

Floods Destroy Lourdes Grotto again as Vatican announces Second “Miracle” of John Paul II

Is this coincidence? The first time Lourdes was severely damaged by flooding was October 21, 2012, the very day that a “relic” of the apostate and false “Pope” John Paul II were scheduled to arrive at the French holy site. We reported the matter back then under the tagline “Talk about raining on someone’s parade”… (see our coverage here – scroll down about one-third of the page).

Now, flooding hit a second time, and worse than before, the very same day (June 18, 2013) that the modernist Vatican announced they had approved the second (and final) “miracle” needed to clear the way for the “canonization” of John Paul II as a “saint”.

“Cardinal” Walter Kasper is a Modernist Apostate

Modernist Fr. Walter Kasper,

The Theses of Professor Walter Kasper
Sept. 11, 2004
From the IK (Initiativ Kreis) News of 8-9/2003

  • “Faith does not mean a believing-to-be-true of wonderful facts and sets of beliefs that have authoritatively been put before us.”
  • “Dogmas can certainly be one-sided, superficial, bossy, dumb, and rash.”
  • Christ “presumably did not call himself either Messiah or Servant of God or Son of God and probably not Son of Man either.”
  • The dogma that Jesus is “completely man and completely God” is able to be superceded.

Francis Brings Back “Bent Cross” Crozier

It was bound to happen. Mr. Jorge Bergoglio — whom the world calls “Pope Francis” — has reintroduced the repulsive ‘Bent Cross’ Crozier (sometimes referred to as the “Broken Cross”), after Benedict XVI had, for the most part, abandoned it. The indult blog Rorate Caeli has the story.

The “bent cross” ferula, or staff, which is a hideous rendition of a crucifix, shows our Lord’s legs immodestly spread apart and shows the cross bars bent, rather than straight. The following photos show that this “crucifix” is repulsive indeed, dishonors Christ, and does not inspire pious thoughts:

This sinister-looking cross was designed by Italian Lello Scorzelli (1921-1997) during — you guessed it — the 1960s and was introduced — you guessed it again — by “Pope” Paul VI (Giovanni Battista Montini), who used it for the first time at the closing of his modernist robber synod known as the “Second Vatican Council”, on December 8, 1965.
