Reinhard meets his hero…

Marx meets Marx: “Archbishop” of Munich poses with Statue of Founder of Communism

The German city of Trier recently put up a statue of Karl Marx (1818-1883), the founder of Communism.

Trier is the birthplace of this notorious revolutionary, whose erroneous philosophy and dangerous, anti-Catholic ideology is historically responsible for the deaths of roughly 100 million people in the world. (To get any idea of how many dead bodies that is, look at the one million dots on this page and mentally multiply it by 100 — if you can.) Alexander Solzhenitsyn’s The Gulag Archipelago tells the horrific inside story of Soviet Communism, which would have been impossible without Karl Marx first delivering the ideological blueprint.

The current “Archbishop” of Munich and Freising, “Cardinal” Reinhard Marx, is an admirer of his namesake. For the 200th anniversary of Karl Marx’s birth in 2018, “Cardinal” Reinhard declared that reading Karl’s Communist Manifesto “impressed” him and claimed that “[w]ithout Karl Marx, there would be no Catholic social teaching.”

Not surprisingly, therefore, the Novus Ordo cardinal decided to pay a visit to his hero’s effigy while visiting Trier, which is his own former stomping ground (he played “Catholic bishop” there from 2002 to 2007). The image at the top of this post was shared by the Munich diocese on its Twitter account today. The image credit goes to the diocese of Trier (Karl Dürgner).

The very fact that a statue of Karl Marx could go up in Germany at all — 30 years after the demise of the Socialist “German Democratic Republic” (aka East Germany), the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the reunification of the two German countries — speaks volumes. That a man who calls himself the Roman Catholic archbishop of Munich should approvingly pose in front of it, takes the wicked insanity to another level.

The physically enormous “Cardinal” Reinhard, by the way, enjoys a generous tax-enabled salary of roughly $14,800 — per month, of course (12,526 € as of 2017). That he doesn’t have to pay any rent for his luxurious, 968-square-feet apartment inside Holnstein Palace, should go without saying. On the other hand, it’s not true that he drives a BMW 730i — it’s his chauffeur who does. Thank heavens Marx gets to ride along for free! It’s easy to be “impressed” by Marxism with that kind of a portfolio and lifestyle.

In exchange for all that, however, Munich’s Novus Ordo adherents are getting a real theological powerhouse. In 2012, Marx brilliantly declared: “It is impossible to insult [offend] God” (Gott kann man gar nicht beleidigen). If at least he were paid to shut up, the money would actually be worth it.

But what is the true Catholic position on Communism? There are a few papal texts we would like to direct our readers’ attention to:

In his Christmas Message of 1942, Pope Pius XII explained that “the Church has condemned the various forms of Marxist Socialism; and she condemns them today, because it is her permanent right and duty to safeguard men from currents as thought and influences that jeopardize their eternal salvation.”

Marxism is so evil that Heaven itself intervened to urge Catholics to do all they can to prevent its proliferation. In 1917 — the year of the Communist Revolution in Russia — the Blessed Virgin Mary personally appeared at Fatima, Portugal, to three shepherd children to warn the world of the “errors of Russia” that would spread throughout the world if her warnings were not heeded. To prevent this, Our Lady of Fatima urged devotion to her Immaculate Heart. What a mockery the false cardinal is making of Our Lady and of the Catholic opposition to Communism!

Francis will probably get a good laugh out of seeing his “Marxist cardinal” with a huge statue of Karl Marx. He’s got his own track record with Marxism and Marxists, after all:

In the Vatican II Sect, receiving “Holy Communion” as a Communist is not a problem, at least as long as one is also a cross-dressing sodomite.

By the way: The Marx statue “Cardinal” Reinhard visited was a gift from the Chinese Communist Party.

Birds of a feather flock together.
