Celebrating the Centennial

Our Lady of Fatima’s 100th Anniversary

Today is the great 100th Anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima, Portugal — a perfect time to stop for a moment and recall to mind and ponder the great events that took place during the incredibly momentous year of 1917. What follows is a brief historical review, and then a list of resources at the end.

Our Lady of Fatima: A Brief Overview

The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three little shepherd children at a field called Cova da Iria at Fatima for a total of six different times, between May 13 and October 13, 1917.

Bergoglio blasphemes again:
Jesus Christ “made Himself the Devil”!

Only the horns and the tail are missing:
The Vatican’s Blasphemer-in-Chief Jorge Bergoglio

The blasphemies of Jorge Bergoglio (“Pope Francis”) are becoming ever more frightful. Just the other day we reported on his joke about the Most Holy Trinity (see here) during a private audience, and today we have another blasphemy to add to the ever-growing list: In his homily of April 4, 2017, Francis said that our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ “made himself the devil” for us!

To clarify right from the outset: Yes, he really said it (it’s on the Vatican web site).

Non È Francesco:
Pressure mounts on Vatican as New Book disputes Francis’ Legitimacy

francis-silhouette.jpg

On September 24, we were the first English-speaking web site to provide information about Antonio Socci’s explosive new book Non È Francesco: La Chiesa Nella Grande Tempesta (“It’s Not Francis: The Church in a Great Tempest”), a work in which the Italian Novus Ordo journalist makes the case that Benedict XVI’s resignation in February 2013 was invalid and therefore the man elected to replace him is not in fact the Pope. (See our original post here.)

non-e-francesco-socci2.jpgThe timing of the release of this book is surely no accident — it first hit the shelves throughout Italy on October 3, two days before Francis’ Synod on the Family will open, a Vatican gathering of select Modernist “bishops” that has the potential to revolutionize Novus Ordo Church law and/or practice with regard to the reception of the “sacraments” by the divorced and “remarried”, that is, by unrepentant public adulterers.

“It’s Not Francis”:
Explosive New Book Argues Benedict XVI is Still Pope

[Update 01-OCT-14: More Details on Socci’s New Book, here]

Not that we want to say, “We told you so”, but… we told you so!

Days before the controversial Synod on the Family is set to begin in Rome, a synod whose decisions may force many people who are currently part of the Vatican II Church to reevaluate their position with respect to whether Jorge Bergoglio’s claim to the papacy is valid and legitimate, the Italian daily Il Foglio reports that journalist and author Antonio Socci (The Fourth Secret of Fatima) will be releasing a 296-page book in which he makes the case that the resignation of “Pope” Benedict XVI in February of 2013 was invalid.

Benedict XVI and the “Prophetic Mission of Fatima”

[UPDATED 16-MAY-2016]

Every so often, someone with a soft spot for the old Modernist Joseph Ratzinger (“Pope” Benedict XVI) digs up a quote from a homily he gave in 2010 (see video above) in which he speaks somewhat cryptically about the apparitions of our Lady at Fatima and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary:

We would be mistaken to think that Fatima’s prophetic mission is complete. Here there takes on new life the plan of God which asks humanity from the beginning: “Where is your brother Abel […] Your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground!” (Gen 4:9).

Resignationism Continued…

Now “Abp.” Ganswein Weighs In:
Benedict’s Emeritus Status
“Corresponds to Reality”

“Archbishop” Georg Ganswein, Secretary to Benedict XVI

Italian journalist and author Antonio Socci is back with more on the neverending drama surrounding what we have termed the Resignationist thesis, the idea that the resignation of Benedict XVI (Joseph Ratzinger) was invalid and he is therefore still the legitimate Pope of the Catholic Church, Francis being an impostor. (For those who don’t know, the position of Novus Ordo Watch is that all “Popes” after Pius XII have been impostors. More on that here.)

In his latest contribution, published March 2, 2014 for the Italian El Libero, Socci reveals the “serious answer” Benedict XVI’s private secretary, “Abp.” Georg Gänswein, has given to the question why Benedict sticks with the title “Pope Emeritus” (as opposed to reverting simply to “Cardinal Ratzinger”, as would have been expected) and still retains various papal insignia, such as his papal coat of arms, the continued wearing of the white cassock and zucchetto, etc.

Resignationism hitting the mainstream…

Italian Journalist Antonio Socci:
Ratzinger Resignation “May Not Be Valid”

antonio-socci.jpg

Author and Journalist Antonio Socci

One year after Benedict XVI’s historic announcement of his impending resignation from the “papacy”, well-respected Italian journalist and author Antonio Socci reflects on what led Fr. Joseph Ratzinger to give up his claim to the papal office on February 28, 2013.

Writing for the Italian daily Libero on Feb. 12, 2014, Socci says that details about the resignation have emerged that may render it invalid under church law. (Both Novus Ordo and traditional Catholic canon law state that, among other possible reasons, resignation obtained through fear unjustly inflicted is invalid; see Novus Ordo Canon 188Catholic Canon 185.) The details he describes are most interesting and by no means mere fantastic hypotheses.
