Public Relations Disaster for SSPX:
Bishop Fellay’s Epic Interview Fail

Tim Sebastian grills Bishop Fellay on “Conflict Zone”

There is no other way to say it: It’s an unmitigated disaster of colossal proportions for the Society of Saint Pius X.

In an interview for the aptly-named “Conflict Zone” program of the international German broadcaster Deutsche Welle, aggressive secular journalist Tim Sebastian sat down with SSPX Superior General, Bishop Bernard Fellay, to grill him on various issues from the accusation of anti-semitism to the Society’s bizarre understanding of papal authority. The result was as embarrassing as it was revealing, both about the SSPX in general and His Excellency in particular.… READ MORE

Vatican confirms April 2 meeting

“Pope” Francis meets with SSPX Superior General, Bishop Fellay

The Press Office of the “Holy See” has confirmed a newspaper report of an unannounced meeting that took place between “Pope Francis” and the Superior General of the Society of Saint Pius X, Bishop Bernard Fellay, on Saturday, April 2, at Vatican City. The Italian paper Il Foglio broke the story, quoting sources who said the meeting “was positive” and “understanding is good” between Fellay and Francis, whom Fellay had called “a genuine Modernist” in 2013.

According to Il Foglio, the discussions between the “Pope” and the Lefebvrian SSPX are moving towards a personal prelature model similar to that under which Opus Dei operates.

True Or False Pope?
On that Alleged “Irrational Response” by Sedevacantists

OK, so we changed the cover a little… This is only to remind people who the authors claim keeps the gates of hell from prevailing against the Modernist Sect…

The year of our Lord 2016 promises to be loaded with fireworks. Ahead of the official release of the new, 700-page book arguing against Sedevacantism, True or False Pope?, written by John Salza and Robert Siscoe and published by the Society of St. Pius X, the authors have opened a “Sedevacantist Watch” section on their web site.… READ MORE

Sharing the Loaves:
Modernist Drivel at “Papal” Retreat

If you’re wondering why Francis has been so silent all week, it’s because he is currently on retreat with members of the Curia in Ariccia near Rome. Unfortunately, however, Jorge Bergoglio’s silence comes at a price: We now have to hear about the Modernist tripe preached by the “papal” retreat master instead, and tripe it is.

On March 9, 2016, Aleteia’s Rome correspondent, Diane Montagna, reported on one of the “meditations” offered that day by the Modernist preacher, a certain “Fr.” Ermes Ronchi, OSM, who reflected on the question, “How many loaves do you have?”… READ MORE

An Update: Francis and the Society of St. Pius X

The Society of St. Pius X, since 1994 headed by the intrepid Bp. Bernard Fellay, who considers himself the leader of Traditional Catholicism yet without even so much as a single significant theological contribution to back him up, has now released a statement on Jorge Bergoglio’s infernal exhortation Amoris Laetitia:

The Society’s reaction is entitled, “Enough to make one weep” — which about sums up all the SSPX has left at this point to put up against Francis’ in-your-face apostasy: tears, sobbing, and hand-wringing.… READ MORE

Setting the Historical Record straight…

The Truth about Pope Liberius and the “Excommunication” of St. Athanasius

liberius-athanasius.jpg
Now that Francis has successfully detonated his nuclear bomb called Amoris Laetitia — the “Apostolic Exhortation” effectively granting free rein to people in permanent adultery and other “irregular unions” to receive the Novus Ordo sacraments — the anti-sedevacantist “resistance traditionalists” are scrambling to justify their refusal to countenance the possibility that perhaps, just perhaps, a man whom anyone can see is truly the Vicar of Satan cannot also be the Vicar of Jesus Christ at the same time (cf. 2 Cor 6:15).

One of the most predictable internet sites in this regard is the famous indult blog Rorate Caeli, which quickly recycled the old litany of “heretical Popes” of the past to justify the current situation:

Why it is intrinsically impossible to be more Catholic than the Pope, is something we explained to The Remnant’s chief rhetorician Christopher Ferrara a few months ago, and it bears repeating:

Mocking the Holy Sacrifice: Francis encourages Altar Boy to treat Holy Mass as a Joke

Oh, the gaudium!

Since we haven’t heard enough from the “Pope” in the last three years, Francis has just released another book, this time one for children, in which he answers their questions. The work is entitled Dear Pope Francis: The Pope Answers Letters from Children Around the World and has been published in various languages, the English version being offered by Loyola Press.

A few weeks ago, a first preview of the book was made available by the Novus Ordo Rorate Caeli blog, in which a 9-year-old Italian boy named Alessio asked Francis whether he had ever served as an altar boy.… READ MORE

Deniers of the Resurrection:
Walter Kasper, Gerhard Mü
ller, Joseph Ratzinger

Left to right: Walter Kasper, Gerhard L. Muller, Joseph Ratzinger

We have posted on this topic before, but the issue is so serious that it really bears repeating: There are a lot of people in the Vatican II Sect who deny the Catholic dogma that Jesus Christ rose physically from the dead. This denial is a pet tenet of Modernism, which denies all miracles. Modernists reject genuine miracles because they loathe the supernatural and do not have Faith. It should come as no surprise, therefore, that many in the Novus Ordo Church deny even the very dogma of the Bodily Resurrection of Christ, which is the greatest of all of Christ’s miracles and the definitive proof that He is the True God and the True Messiah.… READ MORE

Three Years Later: Benedict XVI Resigns

Joseph Ratzinger Announced Historic
Resignation Three Years Ago Today

It was Monday, February 11, 2013, when Italian journalist Giovanna Chirri became the first person to inform the world of “Pope” Benedict XVI‘s resignation, effective February 28. As the Vatican correspondent for the Italian news outlet ANSA, Chirri was seated among other members of the press to cover on-site the consistory Benedict had convoked and at which he made known his totally unexpected decision to renounce the office of the papacy which he had (falsely) been claiming since April 19, 2005:

Quapropter bene conscius ponderis huius actus plena libertate declaro me ministerio Episcopi Romae, Successoris Sancti Petri, mihi per manus Cardinalium die 19 aprilis MMV commisso renuntiare ita ut a die 28 februarii MMXIII, hora 20, sedes Romae, sedes Sancti Petri vacet et Conclave ad eligendum novum Summum Pontificem ab his quibus competit convocandum esse.

Vatican’s Doctrinal Chief “Cardinal” Müller: Francis “Not a Professional Theologian”

(Photo Credit: Realy Easy Star/Alamy Live News)

On March 1, 2016, the Cologne-based regional newspaper lner Stadt-Anzeiger published an interview with the Modernist Vatican’s “doctrinal watchdog”, “Cardinal” Gerhard Ludwig Müller — himself a heretic, actually, as we demonstrate below. The interview is mainly about the differences between Islam and Christianity, but it also touches upon Francis and Muller’s relationship with the garrulous anti-pope.

Here is the part of the interview in which Muller speaks about Francis:

Your Eminence, you are considered the most powerful antagonist of the Pope and his program of reform in the Vatican.

Speaking of “Private Judgment”…

False Resistance Theology:
The Pope Speaks — You Decide!

Who needs a Pope when you can have self-appointed sifters and resisters?

It looks like this year is shaping up to be a veritable armageddon between the false traditionalist recognize-and-resist position and Sedevacantism. Very good, let it be so, for this is an all-important issue. The current strategy being executed by John Salza & Robert Siscoe — authors of True Or False Pope? — appears to be that of an attempted one-two punch of flooding the debate with a flurry of short articles so as to try to overwhelm us, and using a “divide-and-conquer” tactic by focusing on matters on which sedevacantists do not agree so as to prevent a unified response and paralyze us, as it were, perhaps hoping we will yell at each other instead of Salza and Siscoe.… READ MORE

If Francis is a true Pope, you’re stuck with him…

The Impossibility of Judging or Deposing a True Pope

He judges all and is judged by no one: the Pope

Accepting the Vatican II Sect as the Catholic Church has consequences. So does believing that Jorge Bergoglio is the Vicar of Christ despite being a public apostate: If he is a valid Pope, then there is no power on earth that can undo his papacy. If he is truly the successor of St. Peter, then he can resign voluntarily, but no one can take the pontificate from him.

This clear truth does not sit well with many in the “Recognize-and-Resist” (aka “Semi-Traditionalist”) camp, now that Francis is so obviously a non-Catholic and so clearly doing grave damage to Catholicism.

MICHAEL DAVIES — AN EVALUATION

One of the most prominent and influential writers of the traditionalist movement in the Vatican II Church was the English writer Michael Treharne Davies (1936-2004). No individual has written more prolifically than Davies on traditionalist issues, and probably no single layman, with the possible exception of Dietrich von Hildebrand, has enjoyed wider prominence, credibility, and trustworthiness than him. But is this respect Mr. Davies has enjoyed really well-founded? If not, what does this mean for the people who base most of their understanding of the traditionalist subject matter on the research and argumentation of this man?… READ MORE
