Blasphemy in Austria: ‘Catholic’ Parish Displays Jesus Christ Sawn to Pieces
One of the things the Vatican II Church is really good at is blaspheming Our Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and profaning all that is holy.
We are currently in the penitential season of Lent, and for some Novus Ordo prelates in Austria, that means installing some kind of crazy, lewd, or downright blasphemous ‘artwork’ in church. After all, one wouldn’t want to be considered square, reactionary, or old-fashioned, and so showing oneself wedded to the secular world and the cultural spirit of the age is a top priority in Novus Ordo Land, especially in German-speaking countries.
The lastest blasphemous artwork is being exhibited in Saint Jacob’s ‘Catholic’ Church in Villach, Austria. The building is a traditional Catholic church dating back centuries. Saint Jacob’s is part of the diocese of Gurk-Klagenfurt, where the chief Modernist under the false label of ‘Roman Catholic bishop’ is Josef Marketz (b. 1955), appointed in 2019 by ‘Pope’ Francis. (It was under Marketz that the bizarre ‘Sound Effects Mass’ took place in 2020, which long-time visitors of this blog may recall.)
The ‘art’ the visitor is subjected to consists of three separate installations that are being presented under the overall title of KREUZ : WEG : STATION (“CROSS : WAY : STATION”). They are “BODY CUBE”, “balance.AKT”, and “CHRISTPOWER”. The ‘artist’ responsible for these works is Michael Kos (b. 1963). The first two of them are overtly blasphemous.
In a promotional post published on the diocesan news blog, we read about the installed ‘art’ objects:
“They are objects deliberately chosen by the artist to address the pressing questions of society,” said the Villach city pastor. “The first object, ‘CHRISTPOWER’, reminds us of how great the soul’s capacity is and indicates the true fill level of our faith. The second object, ‘balance.AKT’, puts the Redeemer at the center. The third object, ‘body.CUBE’, is placed directly in front of the altar and shows the corpus of Christ fastened to a three-dimensional spatial structure in which floats at the same time, so that the rigid axes reveal a kind of living connection through Christ,” the town’s chief pastor Pirker explains.

Obviously, they must think we’re all morons. See for yourself the wicked garbage on exhibit:
The big box in the foreground has a fuel gauge in it that is on empty. Tremendous art!
The sacred Corpus of Our Crucified Lord has been taken off the Cross and suspended over a rope to give the impression that Our Loving Redeemer is walking a tightrope.
The most horrific piece: Numerous duplicates of our Lord’s sacred Corpus have been cut up and the pieces affixed randomly to a gigantic cross-shaped cube.
Detail of the “BODY CUBE” abomination

This ‘artistic’ installation was inaugurated by Mr. Kos together with the Novus Ordo presbyter, Dr. Richard Pirker, on Mar. 9, the First Sunday of Lent, at the Novus Ordo worship service.
On its official web site, the diocese of Gurk-Klagenfurt has published this outrageous evil as a feature with 21 photographs:
It bears the deliberately ambiguous and manifestly snide subtitle, “Corpus Christi in einer regelrechten Zerreißprobe”, which translates as “The Body of Christ downright pushed to the limit”. It is scornful especially in German, for the word Zerreißprobe (or Zerreissprobe) literally means “tearing test”, by which is meant a test that attempts to tear an object apart to see if it can withstand — and of course the Body of Christ in Kos’ installation is shown as having been torn to pieces!
An online petition against this sacrilege and blasphemy was started by the German semi-trad Christkönigtum (“Kingship of Christ”) organization. It describes the “BODY CUBE” atrocity as follows:
The so-called “BODY CUBE” is particularly repulsive. It is a black cube containing 49 sawn body parts. In this display, the body of Christ is literally torn apart, disfigured and robbed of its dignity. Even more scandalous is the fact that crosses appear in different forms depending on one’s point of view, right down to a swastika. The fact that such a symbol is deliberately placed in a so-called “work of art” within a Catholic church is not only an outrageous affront to the faithful, but a direct desecration of the house of God.

In his own description of the disgusting blasphemy, Kos writes:
The idea for this piece was to create a crystalline spatial form with organic, bodily inscriptions. The Corpus Christi was to be subjected to a real test of endurance. The open axial structure of the cube creates a variable play of cross shapes. From every possible point of view, different shapes arise, from simple crosses to half-crosses, spatial crosses and swastikas, everything can be found.

Obviously, none of this has anything to do with the true spirit of Lent, which is about turning away from sin and converting to the Lord, doing penance, making reparation, fasting, practicing mortification, and giving alms. Rather, it is the very opposite of Lent — adding mortal sin upon mortal sin and provoking the Lord to anger by mocking Him openly!
This latest abomination is very reminiscent of the monstrous blasphemy León Ferrari (1920-2013) committed in Buenos Aires in 2004. The ‘Catholic archbishop’ there at the time, a certain ‘Cardinal’ Jorge Bergoglio, counseled his people to practice “tenderness” in response to the blasphemy, but it got destroyed nonetheless.
What is being exhibited at St. Jacob’s in Villach is also reminiscent of the frightfully blasphemous ‘Jesus Clock’ that was on exhibit six years ago at a historic church in Innsbruck, likewise in Austria. The man responsible for that atrocity was ‘Bishop’ Hermann Glettler.
We encourage all to make reparation for blasphemy!
Time and again, the anti-Catholic Modernists masquerading as Catholic clergy show their true colors. Let’s hope and pray that more and more people will wake up and flee these monstrous wolves!
