In case you missed our initial announcement on December 24: Our popular TRADCAST podcast program is back with a brand-new hard-hitting episode that examines some current events and refutes the errors of various Novus Ordo and recognize-but-resist personalities.
The total run time of TRADCAST 016 is just over two hours. As always, the show is packed with solid Catholic doctrine, razor-sharp analysis, insightful information, and a touch of delightful humor. No fluff. This episode is not dedicated to just one particular topic but touches upon many miscellaneous items, and it ends with an exciting announcement about TRADCAST in 2017 that you will not want to miss!
Here’s an idea: Why not have a TRADCAST party at your home and invite family, friends, or neighbors over to discuss the show? Perhaps as a New Year’s Eve special? Makes for great conversation — much more important than football or politics! — and will open people’s eyes about Francis and the Novus Ordo Sect! It’s one way you can do evangelization the easy way. In any case, don’t miss this TRADCAST and spread the word!
You can listen free of charge by playing the YouTube video above, or you can go to our TRADCAST 016 page, where you will find all the information you need for this show, including links to all the articles, books, blog posts, etc., mentioned in the podcast, and where you will also find ways to download this episode to your computer and sign up to be notified of new episodes by email.
I’m halfway through this Tradcast, and I must say your ability to reason is impeccable. To be able to put aside or give up attachment to your subjective preconceived ideas, preferences and dislikes is no small thing.
Your very real criticisms of Michael Matt reminds me of how my attitudes have changed in 4 years. I used to say to myself, why don’t Matt/Ferrara stop whining about Francis(that was my phase of thinking that he was just more pastoral than preceding popes).
However, you expose the underlying flaws in Matt’s approach to Vatll and its aftermat. Your knowledge of church history, theologians, popes and encyclicals and why Matt would choose one over another(i.e., he chooses those scholars who support his prejudices)Is beneficial to me since I rely on faithful priests/bishops to provide what I can’t possibly research by myself. Not only am I not a scholar, I don’t have a degree in anything.
God bless.
A question: If the vatican 2 faith is not Catholic (it isnt), and all marriage tribunals are composed of members of the non-Catholic vatican 2 faith (they are), then how can any annulment nowadays be valid? We keep hearing about these divorced-and-remarried people who failed to get an annulment and are in a state of grave sin (they are)…..but how COULD they get a TRUE annulment (assuming there was a legitimate cause for one to begin with) if there is no proper authority to grant one? We are concentrating on the evils of AL but seem to be looking past the evils of all of these fallacious “annulments.” AL or not, these “annulments” are the true root evil.
There is simply no way to obtain an annulment in our day, as there is no (known) ecclesiastical tribunal with the necessary authority. But since genuine annulments are fairly sparse in general, this is a hardship that probably only impacts very few people. Let’s keep in mind that, unlike what the Novus Ordo Sect keeps suggesting, an annulment is NOT a way to make an adulterous union legit. Adultery is adultery. An annulment merely certifies legally that what was thought to be a marriage really wasn’t one.
Let us pray for all those who are stuck in an adulterous union. No doubt, there are many who, sincerely believing that the Vatican II Sect is the Catholic Church, obtained a Novus Ordo annulment in the past and entered a second union more or less in good faith. Their conversion to the true Faith is made very difficult — although not impossible — because they will have to live in celibacy (if they have children to take care of) or break up altogether (if no children under their care any more). That is a great burden that can only be made bearable through grace (cf. Mt 11:30). Let us pray for such people and show them genuine compassion. They have a heavy cross to carry. May they embrace that cross and not turn away from it. There is no other way — their eternal salvation depends on it. So, let us pray! Bogus annulments are a most insidious weapon the Modernist Sect has used to discourage people from abandoning it.
Thank you for this response. I think this is a subject, especially with AL currently at the forefront, which has sort of been forgotten about. Divorced+ remarried+ bogus annulment still = no good.
NOW: “There is simply no way to obtain an annulment in our day”
This also means that single Catholics should stay away from anyone who has ever entered into a marriage, even if it appears to be an obviously invalid one.
Yes, that would be my recommendation also.
Hi, I have a question. I have been contemplating leaving the NO mass, as I have been struggling with it since realizing there was actually a true mass, and through much searching and discernment. However, I am one of those you are talking about. I got married to a Novus Ordo catholic ( I was her 4th marriage), and she left. Thus, a civil divorce occurred. ( I was still a Lutheran). I entered the Novus Ordo Church and had an Anullment. So, my question is: If the Real Catholic church doesn’t recognize an Anullment of a NO Marriage, then why would they recognize any Marriage outside of the “Real catholic church”? I am confused. Also, if I was my 1st Wife’s 4th Marriage, and she was a NO catholic (If there is such a name) and then we got married without any dispensation, doesn’t that disqualify the marriage or not recognized before the “Real catholic” church. Also, we also have one child from my current Marriage. Does that mean I abandoned my family? Thanks!
Hello Sir… I will email you directly. This is best not discussed in a combox.
that is why it is so difficult for us to find a life partner…No surprising that St Paul recommends celibacy for the kingdom of God…
I suspect a large part of the problem is that the divorced are usually much more comfortable around the opposite sex than the never-married, and because they’re thereby “easier”, they provide a major source of temptation for single Catholics.
