Francis Concerned:

‘They’re Counting Rosaries!’

Poor Jorge Bergoglio. Poor “Pope” Francis. Most of the world believes him to be the Pope of the Catholic Church, including the majority of those who consider themselves Catholic Traditionalists or Traditional Catholics. So some of these latter wanted to give their “Pope” a nice spiritual bouquet to show their love and loyalty, but they forgot that the recipient of this bouquet isn’t a Catholic and so he doesn’t know what to do with it. In an anecdote the “Holy Father” himself related, upon his election as Francis, he got a letter from one of those (his words) “restorationist groups” in Buenos Aires, telling him: “Your Holiness, we offer you this spiritual treasure: 3,525 rosaries.”

For a Catholic, that is wonderful news.

Michael Voris’ “BAM!” Vortex
Full of Hypocrisy & One-Sided Reporting

bam.jpg

BAM! The “Voris Virus” rears its ugly head again: On May 6, 2013, ChurchMilitant.TV published its regular Vortex broadcast, this time with an episode entitled “Pope Francis – BAM!” In it, host Michael Voris paints the picture of a super-conservative, über-orthodox, anti-ecumenical, mega-traditionalist “Pope” Francis, who is trying to do all he can to fight the liberalism in the Novus Ordo, just like Voris and his ChurchMilitant.TV crew. In so doing, Voris accuses the liberals in the media and the Novus Ordo Church of distorting reality by presenting an incomplete picture of “Pope” Francis, by ignoring inconvenient facts about him and only reporting the news selectively.

“Pope” Francis:
“Not Possible to Find Jesus Outside the Church”

Oh boy, this one’s going to get the semi-traditionalists and pseudo-conservatives in the Novus Ordo jumping for joy. “The Pope said that Christ cannot be found outside the Catholic Church, oh my gosh! Look at how conseeeeervative he is! Our Pope is Caaatholic!”

Sure enough, Mr. (“Fr.”) John Zuhlsdorf picked up on this story right away, and no doubt we won’t have to wait long for Michael Voris to cover it in The Vortex (known for its extremely selective reporting) as well. [Update: Voris covered it in his May 6 Vortex here.] Come on, if the “Pope” says something that sounds orthodox (and therefore anti-ecumenical), that really is newsworthy in the Novus Ordo religion — it doesn’t happen that often.

The ‘Voris Virus’ Strikes again…

A WWF Papacy?

On April 12, 2013, Michael Voris’ ChurchMilitant.TV released the rollowing Vortex broadcast:

In case you missed our first post on the ‘Voris Virus’, we defined it as “the refusal to report those inconvenient facts that contradict the agenda you want to push on your audience”. The April 12, 2013, broadcast of the Vortex, entitled “WWF Papacy!!!”, is another textbook example of that. Hardly able to contain his excitement, the anchor reports: “…the liberal-progressive-modernist gang [is] freaking out that Pope Francis is actually – Catholic!”

What makes Mr. Voris assert such an absurd idea?

Michael Voris vs. “Cardinal” Dolan & Dolanites:
A Case of Very Selective Reporting

Michael Voris’ Vortex Special Report of March 26, 2013, provides an excellent example of how semi-traditionalist and/or “conservative” Novus Ordo news outlets cannot be relied upon to give you all the relevant facts, even though they may be giving you a great presentation.

Let’s be clear: All of Voris’ criticism of Timothy “Cardinal” Dolan, seen in the video above, is entirely justified and right on the money. He exposes how Dolan kowtows to pro-abortion, pro-homo “Catholic” U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden, who attended St.

Cruisin’ Through Lent:
Michael Voris’ and “Fr.” Zuhlsdorf’s “Retreat Cruise” for Lent ’13

Lenten Retreat, anyone? Don’t forget your sun screen!

Commentary by Francis del Sarto

[Please note: Due to the sede vacante state of the Novus Ordo Church at the time, “Fr.” John Zuhlsdorf ended up not participating in the cruise. Another Novus Ordo priest attended instead.]

Woman receiving ashes at the beginning of Lent

Every year the holy season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, when the priest distributes blessed ashes obtained from the prior year’s Palm Sunday palms. Upon putting the ashes on each person’s forehead in the form of a cross, the priest says, “Memento homo, quia pulvis es, et in pulverem reverteris” – “Remember, man, that thou art dust, and unto dust thou shalt return.” Clearly, the season of Lent, called Quadragesima in Latin, is the season of penance and mortification par excellence in the liturgical year, as it is a preparation for Easter.
