German Novus Ordo Bishop:
God is Present in Sodomitical Relationships
The Modernist layman Franz-Josef Overbeck knows where God is present
The Vatican II Sect is racing to hell at an ever greater speed. Some people, it seems, cannot get to eternal damnation fast enough, and they want to take as many others with them as possible.
Take Franz-Josef Overbeck, for example. He is the “Catholic bishop” of the diocese of Essen, Germany.
On Mar. 19, 2021, Mr. Overbeck released a pastoral epistle addressed to all the parishes in his diocese regarding the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith‘s Mar. 15 note disapproving of blessings for sodomite couples. Apparently numerous people had contacted him to express their shock and dismay that the Modernist Vatican was not (yet) willing to officially bless sins that cry to Heaven for vengeance. This alone shows the state of the “Catholic Church” in Germany.
In his three-page letter to parishes (see German original here), Overbeck notes that “the faithful” (ha!) are no longer able to understand, nor willing to accept, the “existing magisterial perception and valuation of homosexuality on the basis of natural law”. This, the false bishop warns, signals a “dramatic loss of credibility and plausibility for Catholic sexual morality”.
Apparently he believes that credibility is established by preaching what people want to hear rather than what is known through reason and Faith in what God has revealed. St. Paul had something to say about that: “For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears: and will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables” (2 Tim 4:3-4).
Appealing to “pastoral experience” and all kinds of insights supposedly derived from science (cf. 1 Tim 6:20), Overbeck in his letter calls for “an expanded vision of human sexuality” in church teaching. While giving a quick verbal nod to Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and the magisterium, the Novus Ordo prelate says it is a matter of “interpreting the signs of the times” and of “understanding all of Tradition as a living process.” Anything else would, of course, be a “fundamentalist temptation.”
Mr. Overbeck then proceeds to manipulate the readers of his infernal monograph by suggesting that a “narrow view of human sexuality” is also “part of the fertile ground” for sexual abuse — an insight he claims is derived from the “scientific investigation of sexual violence”. In other words, upholding the virtues of purity and chastity in accordance with Divine Revelation leads to rape and other abuse. If only we could have a laxer view of the purpose of man’s generative faculties, that should safeguard decency!
Then the Novus Ordo prelate goes further still. Appealing to the “skill of discernment” continually pushed by his false pope, “Bp.” Overbeck somehow discovers that “God’s presence shows itself in all periods and situations of life, in which what is truly good and human is made to flourish.” He then adds: “This is true in particular for any respectful and loving relationship into which people may enter”, and of course for him that includes those relationships God once accompanied with fire and brimstone (see Lk 17:29). Hence the false German bishop calls for a “serious and deeply appreciative re-evaluation of homosexuality in our church”. Shocker.
Now, logic being an annoyingly persistent thing, it won’t take too long for some Novus Ordo theologian to figure out that if “God’s presence shows itself” in sexually perverted relationships — because positive elements and stuff — then surely those can constitute a quasi-sacrament and be recognized liturgically.
In fact, that is exactly what some “Catholic theologians” in the Land of Luther have already been arguing. Eckhard Raabe, for instance, made a scandalous diocesan video a few years back in which he called for a liturgical rite that recognizes the “love” between sodomites as something genuinely good and proper. Over five years ago, the immoral theologian Stephan Goertz floated the idea that a “committed, loving homosexual union” can “possess a sacramental character”. Truly, some people are vying for the hottest place in hell.
That Mr. Overbeck’s reasoning about “respectful and loving” immorality tacitly opens the door to the approval of all kinds of consensual sexual aberrations, including polygamy, the false shepherd will not tell us just yet — that is something that some “moral theologian” won’t discover until a few years from now, perhaps during a synod. This will then be peddled as a necessary “development” that we can no longer ignore on account of “the signs of the times”, under pain of fundamentalism. Besides, on what grounds will anyone deny the “positive elements” surely to be found in such unions?
Next, the perverted prelate cannot help but quote a gooey passage from the Second Vatican Council in support of his oh-so compassionate position: “Indeed whoever labors to penetrate the secrets of reality with a humble and steady mind, even though he is unaware of the fact, is nevertheless being led by the hand of God, who holds all things in existence, and gives them their identity” (Gaudium et Spes, n. 36). If this false shepherd wishes to “penetrate the secrets of reality”, we recommend he familiarize himself with the purpose of human sexuality before blasphemously ascribing his abominable “insights” to the “hand of God”.
But Overbeck isn’t done blaspheming yet. He has the abominable audacity to say: “Homosexual Christians rightly understand their lives as an imitation of Christ — including in the relationships they commit to in trustful love.” The blasphemy cries to Heaven!
It is clear, then, that Mr. Overbeck wants to see the Vatican II Sect permit blessings of homosexual couples. At the end of his letter to parishes, he explicitly calls for “pronouncing a blessing over what is good in [sodomites’] lives” as a sign that says, “In the name of the Church, God is present in this relationship.”
We have news for the German “bishop”: God is not present in that relationship, because it is illicit and gravely sinful. It is illicit and gravely sinful because the primary end for which God made human sexuality is procreation, for which a conjugal union between male and female is necessary. Hence the First Book of Moses, immediately after telling us that “male and female [God] created them” (Gen 1:27), adds: “And God blessed them, saying: Increase and multiply, and fill the earth…” (v. 28). That is the reason why God gave man faculties that allow him to engage in acts that achieve that end in principle. Any sexual act that frustrates that end is therefore gravely immoral. It’s really not difficult.
In light of his immense grasp of Catholic moral theology, we have a serious challenge for Mr. Overbeck, however: Should blessings of sodomite couples really be permitted in all cases? What, for example, if both gay partners are racists? Now that might just pose a moral dilemma for the master theologian.
Dividing human sexuality into heterosexual and homosexual lies at the root of this whole controversy. That is a most grave error, an error whose absurd and pernicious long-term consequences are becoming ever more visible in our day. The chickens are coming home to roost, and with a vengeance.
This has gone so far that at the 2019 Vatican abuse summit the Maltese “Abp.” Charles Scicluna revealed the sorry state of “Catholic theology” in the Novus Ordo Church when he seriously claimed that same-sex attraction isn’t “something that really predisposes to sin”. That is where they’re at after six decades of the “New Theology”.
So, people should not think that this pseudo-theological tragicomedy is restricted to the diseased minds of a handful of extremists found only in the Land of Luther. In fact, “Pope” Francis‘ own track record tells a pretty clear story about where he stands, even though he naturally pays lipservice to the official teachings on occasion. What follows is just a small selection of his many “papal” indiscretions.
In his 2016 post-synodal exhortation Amoris Laetitia, Francis officially teaches the incredible blasphemous lie that God may sometimes be asking a couple to commit adultery “amid the concrete complexity of [its] limits” (n. 303). In this infernal document, the false pope essentially transforms the Ten Commandments into Ten Suggestions and lays down principles that completely undermine Catholic morality (see our extensive podcast on this).
In 2017, the same “Pope” conferred a blessing on the adulterous union of the president of Colombia and his mistress, so we know what the Argentinian Jesuit thinks about blessing illicit sexual relationships. Besides, for him sins of the flesh are among the “least serious” of sins anyway; whereas the fact of the matter is that they are particularly dangerous because they are usually committed on account of weakness, not malice, and so people are more prone to them and thus at greater risk of sinning mortally.
But there is more — much more. In 2018 Francis told a sex abuse victim who ended up becoming a homo himself that “God make you like that”.
Things are so out of whack in the Vatican II Church that Francis was able to tell the pastoral congress of the diocese of Rome that long-term cohabitation with the same person is a true marriage and brings sacramental grace — and no one challenged him on it.
When gay atheist comedian Stephen Amos visited him in the Vatican, the fake pope affirmed him in his sinful lifestyle by assuring him that no matter how he lived his life, he’d never lose his dignity. And of course Francis is well-known for using vocabulary from the depraved “SM” underworld, scandalizing untold masses of people.
In 2017, Francis appointed the ever-provocative blaspheming Jesuit “Fr.” James Martin a consultor to the Vatican department of communications. But worse than even James Martin is “Fr.” Timothy Radcliffe, O.P., who is on record musing about things so depraved and blasphemous that we will not repeat them here but simply direct you to a Life Site post reporting on the wickedness. Naturally, Francis appointed him consultor for the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace.
We will end our laundry list here of Bergoglio’s disgusting tolerance, minimization, acceptance, promotion, and glorification of sexual immorality.
What is clear is that over in Germany, “Bishop” Overbeck fits right in with Club Francis.
Who knows, the papal impostor may just make him a “cardinal” now.
