Yes, the 72-year-old is a member of Opus Dei and, although he will be required by church law to tender his resignation in less than two-and-a-half years, when he turns 75, nonetheless “Pope” Francis insisted on having him ordained a bishop and installed in Chur, which occurred on Mar. 19, 2021.
