SSPX Protesters Disrupt “Catholic”-Jewish Interfaith Service in Buenos Aires Cathedral, Cause Ruckus by Praying Holy Rosary

New 23-Minute Video of the Incident at Buenos Aires Cathedral

Buenos Aires, Argentina (Nov. 12, 2013). Blasphemy, sacrilege, and syncretism are welcome in the Catholic Cathedral of Buenos Aires; praying the Holy Rosary, the Hail Mary, the Our Father are not. For its annual commemoration of the so-called Kristallnacht incident of Nov. 9-10, 1938, when Jewish synagogues, businesses, and homes were destroyed by paramilitary forces in Nazi Germany, the Novus Ordo authorities of the “Archdiocese” of Buenos Aires once again invited Jews, Protestants, and others to participate in an interfaith service held inside its Metropolitan Cathedral.

This time, however, not all went as planned. Traditional Catholics crashed the service and began praying the Holy Rosary out loud, in protest against the profanation of the Catholic holy place. One man grabbed the microphone and began to speak against the interfaith abomination. The host of the event, the current Buenos Aires “Archbishop”, Mr. Mario Poli (yes, he’s but a layman; here’s why), tried to prevent him, though with mediocre success, as the video above shows. Eventually the police were called and the protesters were escorted out, but not without drawing great attention to this yearly abomination, in which true religion is mixed with false religion, in which Jesus Christ is suppressed to make unbelievers feel welcome and appreciated, without in any way attempting to convert them. Rather, they are confirmed in their errors and thus encouraged to remain on the road to eternal perdition.

Immediately, the divinely-inspired words of St. Paul come to mind:

Bear not the yoke with unbelievers. For what participation hath justice with injustice? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath the faithful with the unbeliever?

(2 Corinthians 6:14-15)

The Catholic protesters who tried to make reparation for the outrage and prevent it from taking place, or at least draw attention to it, were affiliated with the Society of St. Pius X. The SSPX’s South American District Superior, Fr. Christian Bouchacourt, acknowledged that they belong to his organization and posted a communique on his web site, referring to the clear and true Catholic teaching on ecumenism and interreligious events, as enunciated by Pope Pius XI:

For since [some] hold it for certain that men destitute of all religious sense are very rarely to be found, they seem to have founded on that belief a hope that the nations, although they differ among themselves in certain religious matters, will without much difficulty come to agree as brethren in professing certain doctrines, which form as it were a common basis of the spiritual life. For which reason conventions, meetings and addresses are frequently arranged by these persons, at which a large number of listeners are present, and at which all without distinction are invited to join in the discussion, both infidels of every kind, and Christians, even those who have unhappily fallen away from Christ or who with obstinacy and pertinacity deny His divine nature and mission.

Certainly such attempts can nowise be approved by Catholics, founded as they are on that false opinion which considers all religions to be more or less good and praiseworthy, since they all in different ways manifest and signify that sense which is inborn in us all, and by which we are led to God and to the obedient acknowledgment of His rule. Not only are those who hold this opinion in error and deceived, but also in distorting the idea of true religion they reject it, and little by little, turn aside to naturalism and atheism, as it is called; from which it clearly follows that one who supports those who hold these theories and attempt to realize them, is altogether abandoning the divinely revealed religion.

(Pope Pius XI, Encyclical Mortalium Animos, n. 2)

When these refreshingly clear words are juxtaposed with the Modernistic drivel of the Vatican II Church, it is easy to see that the two are indeed entirely different religions. (Please note: The SSPX in the United States has since released this statement on the matter.)

Different attendees at the service hurled epithets at the protesters, calling them “crazy” and “miserable Nazis” — simply for vocally protesting the hijacking of a Catholic cathedral for an inter-religious liturgy that is prohibited by the Divine Law, breaks the first commandment, and profanes the sacrality of the church. Of course, if things were reversed, and traditional Catholics demanded a Catholic liturgy inside a Jewish synagogue — not that we ever would — in which Jesus Christ is prominently mentioned, what do you think the Jewish reaction would be?

Make no mistake about it: Zionist Jews consider true, traditional Catholicism to be Nazism; the Gospel is anti-semitic for them. Their rejection is of Christ and Catholicism, not of the SSPX per se. It’s just that the SSPX is the largest group that, in the eyes of the world, represents this traditional Catholicism. The Modernist Vatican II Sect has long sold out to the Zionist Jews and presents no threat to their apostate false religion, hence they have no problem associating with it. But whatever smarks of those “dark days” before Vatican II, they will denounce as Nazi and evil. Such are the facts.

Meanwhile, the typical “conservative” Novus Ordo reaction is one of outrage — against the protesters, of course! Here are some samples from professional Novus Ordo commentators:

  • Phil Lawler: “A disgusting display by SSPX followers in Buenos Aires”
Yes, Mr. Lawler is disgusted — not at the syncretistic denial of Christ in a Catholic cathedral, of course, but at people trying to retain the true Faith and do something very Catholic in a place that was consecrated for the exclusive use of Catholic worship: pray the Rosary and drive out Christ-denying infidels and their enablers! While Lawler is right about identifying the SSPX as being in schism with regard to Francis, that’s not the issue here — the issue is the obvious profanation of a holy place by an “inter-religious liturgy.” And in case Lawler hasn’t come across this yet in Holy Scripture, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has revealed Himself to be a Trinity of Divine Persons — “Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father. He that confesseth the Son, hath the Father also” (1 John 2:23). See also our blog post “Are the Jews Still God’s Chosen People?”
  • “Fr.” John Zuhlsdorf – “Father Z’s Blog”
Mr. Zuhlsdorf, a no-assignment biretta-wearing Modernist whose main job seems to be maintaining his personal celebrity blog, says “shame on them” (the SSPXers) for disrupting the interfaith abomination in the cathedral, adding he “would be tempted to press charges” against them. Mind you, Mr. Z is considered a “traditionalist” among the Vatican II Sect’s clerics. And while he concedes to the heroic protesters a “right to be outraged,” he says they have no “right to disrupt that service in that manner.” He probably would have said the same about Our Blessed Lord driving the money changers out of the temple and overthrowing their tables: “And when he had made, as it were, a scourge of little cords, he drove them all out of the temple, the sheep also and the oxen, and the money of the changers he poured out, and the tables he overthrew” (John 2:15). And we also recall that Moses somewhat impolitely disrupted the ceremony of the idolatrous Jews worshipping the Golden Calf (Exodus 32:19-20), as well as Elias’ mocking of the prophets of Baal when they sought in vain for their false god to consume the sacrifice (3 Kings 18:27). Are these just minor details to Mr. Zuhlsdorf? But what’s even more curious is that Zuhlsdorf entirely fails to address the real issue (at least it’s the real one to any genuine Catholic): the syncretistic abomination itself. “Fr.” Z fails to condemn it or even criticize it. Instead he focuses on the SSPX and the bias of the Associated Press. (Like he never spins any story, you know.) Oh well, it’s much easier to be hip and recommend immoral movies, anyway, so perhaps he’ll just stick to that.
  • Michael Voris – ChurchMilitant.TV
[Come on, you didn’t seriously think Michael Voris would comment on this? He can’t win on this one. He can’t condemn the protesters because he himself would protest such a blasphemous and sacrilegious ceremony. But he can’t defend the protesters either because the whole event was started and presided over for many years by the man Voris now believes is the Pope. So, he’s got a dilemma on his hands. Best “solution”: Don’t cover it. The Vortex will once again become The Ignoretex.]

The state of “conservative Catholicism” in the Novus Ordo Church has reached laughably absurd proportions. We are reminded of the words of Our Lord about the Pharisees: “Let them alone: they are blind, and leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into the pit” (Matthew 15:14).

But why was anyone upset at the protest? Didn’t Francis tell the young at World Youth Day in Rio to go out and “make a mess in the dioceses”, to disturb complacency, make noise, and cause trouble? Well, there you go!

Ah, this wasn’t the kind of trouble Francis had in mind? Yeah, no doubt about that!

Here are two links to Spanish blogs that cover in greater detail the SSPX protest against the sacrilege in the Buenos Aires Cathedral:

Scans of the program of the interfaith service have now been made available. You can download or view the images by clicking on the links below. They include the list of sponsors, speakers, and major participants, as well as the prayers and words of the “liturgy” itself:

Though the Kristallnacht ceremony, officially called an “inter-religious liturgy”, is a yearly occurrence, Nov. 12, 2013 was the first time it was conducted since the election of Jorge Mario Bergoglio as “Pope” Francis. When he was “Archbishop” of Buenos Aires, Bergoglio used to preside over this event himself every year, even as late as 2012, which we reported on here (includes shocking video).

This annual interfaith liturgy is sponsored by the “Archdiocese” of Buenos Aires and the Argentinian Jewish B’Nai B’rith Lodge. It consists of reflections given by various speakers (in 2012 they were “Cardinal” Bergoglio and Rabbi Alejandro Avruj), readings, common prayer (to a “god” that is not the Holy Trinity), and lighting of candles. The tradition of hosting it in the Catholic cathedral was begun by Jorge Bergoglio in 1994.

Anyone who is shocked at Bergoglio’s involvement in this blasphemous and sacrilegious disgrace oviously does not really know the man who is now considered to be the Pope of the Catholic Church. Bergoglio has a history of endorsing Judaism and profaning the sacred. For example, in his 2010 book On Heaven and Earth, which he co-authored with Rabbi Abraham Skorka, he claims that today’s Jews are still God’s Chosen People, that they have not forfeited their covenant with God. When Skorka visited the Vatican in September 2013, “Pope” Francis joined him in Jewish table prayers. In 2012, Bergoglio celebrated Hankukkah with the Buenos Aires Jews. And just the other day, the Jewish daily Forward included Francis in a list of the most important American Jews in 2013!

When it comes to what is supposed to be Holy Mass, Bergoglio likes chaotic liturgies with puppets, irreverent distribution of (what is thought to be) Holy Communion, and a nice impure dance (Tango, anyone?) right in front of the altar — not to mention a beach ball next to the TabernacleReceiving false “blessings” by Protestant ministers is also not foreign to him, and of course his favorite “exorcist” is a Lutheran layman. An occasional baptism of children purchased by homosexual couples is also permitted under Bergoglio’s watch, as long as it takes place in a famous and beautiful basilica.

We have an entire page dedicated to nothing but the ugly truth about “Pope” Francis, which you can access here.

The times we live in are extraordinary, and filled to the brim with apostasy and heresy. Thank God for those courageous souls who disrupted the scandalous interfaith event with Catholic prayers and Catholic truth, to be a witness unto the world that the Vatican II Church is not the Catholic Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
