What Has Happened to the Catholic Church?
An Updated Guide for Confused Catholics

Many people who sincerely desire to be good and loyal Roman Catholics are seriously troubled and confused today. Although the Second Vatican Council occurred more than 60 years ago, it has left a lasting impact. Vatican II, as the council is called for short, took place from 1962-65 and radically changed Catholic liturgy, the sacraments, and essential beliefs that have come down to us from Christ and the Apostles. It led to an untold loss of Faith on the part of many; it resulted in frightful sacrileges, unspeakable blasphemies, priest-less parishes, closed churches and schools, bitter strife among family members, and intense agony overall in countless pious souls. Tens of thousands of priests and religious abandoned their vocations.

As a result, not just Catholics have been wondering: What has happened to the Roman Catholic Church?

Fathers Dominic and Francisco Radecki are identical twin brothers who were ordained to the priesthood together on May 27, 1988. In 1994, they wrote an earlier version of this book called, What Has Happened to the Catholic Church?, in order to guide Catholics through these tumultuous times. The 2025 edition thoroughly studies the Vatican II changes that formed the Counterfeit Church and proves that real Catholicism lives on. Fr. Dominic wrote the first half of the book; Fr. Francisco, the second. The authors follow the wise advice of Pope Leo XIII:

It is for [the priest] to oppose himself as a barrier to the attacks of error and the deceits of heresy; to watch the tactics of the wicked…; to unmask their plots and reveal their ambuscades; to warn the confiding, strengthen the timid and open the eyes of the blinded.

(Pope Leo XIII, Encyclical Depuis Le Jour, n. 48)

Twenty-eight well-documented chapters include examinations of Vatican II, the Traditional Latin Mass, the New Mass, the modern sacramental/liturgical rites, and the prelates leading what ‘Pope’ Paul VI himself called the “Conciliar Church”. The 312-page book draws striking parallels between the Protestant Reformation and Vatican II, as history appears to repeat itself.

The Radecki Fathers are religious of the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen (CMRI). Fr. Dominic is pastor of Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Santa Clarita, California, near Los Angeles; Fr. Francisco is pastor of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wayne, Michigan, near Detroit.

May the Radecki Fathers’ newly revised book bring many graces and blessings to all who are sincerely searching and struggling in these tremendously confusing and insane times.

Our Lady Immaculate Queen, pray for us!
