Vatican’s Human Fraternity Extravaganza ‘Not Alone’ Flops as No One Shows Up
Getting a front-row seat wasn’t terribly difficult…
Imagine it’s the first-ever World Meeting on Human Fraternity and nobody cares.
That is exactly what happened on Saturday, June 10, in Rome. Under the ironic motto #NotAlone, the event’s organizers and contributors found themselves very much alone as they put on a nearly 5-hour long spectacle in St. Peter’s Square that almost nobody cared to attend.
#NotAlone was Quite Alone
According to the Silere Non Possum blog, “Those few people present were tourists, who didn’t stay, and friends of the Franciscan cardinal”, by whom they mean Mauro Gambetti, who is the ‘Archpriest’ of St. Peter’s Basilica and chief organizer of the extravaganza.
That is not an exaggeration, as the title image above and the following screenshots from Vatican Media‘s live video feed demonstrate:
If the #NotAlone event was held “to show that human fraternity is possible”, what does such an abysmal turnout say about the stated goal?
Highlights and Lowlights
Chief sponsor of the event was the Fratelli Tutti Foundation, named after the 2020 encyclical on human fraternity and social friendship, Fratelli Tutti (“Brothers All”), written by ‘Pope’ Francis (Jorge Bergoglio). The first hour and 45 minutes were broadcast on the Italian television channel RAI. The main moderator was Italian TV presenter Carlo Conti.
The official web site promoted the meeting as “an opportunity to foster fraternity and social friendship among individuals and peoples as an antidote to the many forms of violence and wars around the world. … It will combine experiences, artistic performances and dialogue: participate, share, and spread are the three verbs at the heart of the event.”

The event had many elements that delight the Novus Ordo heart, and then some: musical performances, interviews, testimonies of fraternity from people around the world, a children’s choir, celebrity singers, a shirtless gay ballet dancer, a simulated group hug, insufferable speeches, singing “We Are the World”, a message from the ‘Pope’, signing of a common declaration on human fraternity, and more.
Alas, it seems there can be no Vatican entertainment anymore without some performance by a topless man. You can see him pictured below. His name is Roberto Bolle, and he is well known in Italy. His choreography can be viewed here starting at the 1:05:20 time stamp.
Not surprisingly, Bolle is a sodomite, and the Italian press knows that his “charming boyfriend” is one Daniel Lee. Notice, too, that he is wearing a red string around his right wrist. We do not profess to know its significance, but it could be a Kabbalah bracelet, though that is typically worn on the left.
A big ‘group hug’ simulation was also part of the event (it begins at the 2:34:46 mark), to the refrain of Michael Jackson’s 1985 smash hit We Are the World. A total of about 300 boys and girls from around the world assembled, hand in hand, around the main stage:
If this was originally supposed to go around the colonnades of the entire St. Peter’s Square, to demonstrate human fraternity, it couldn’t be done now precisely for a lack of fraternal humans. Oops.
The ‘Pope’ speaks from the Hospital
‘Pope’ Francis, of course, also had something to contribute. Although still recovering from surgery in a Roman hospital, he had ‘Cardinal’ Gambetti read his prepared speech for him. Here are some of the more “interesting” bits of it:
“Indeed, the heavens above invite us to walk together, to rediscover each other as brothers and sisters and to believe in fraternity as the foundation of our pilgrimage.”
“Only a great spiritual and social covenant born from the heart and centered on fraternity can restore the sacredness and inviolability of human dignity as the core of relationships.”
“We should feel ourselves called to apply the balm of tenderness within relationships between persons and peoples that have become gangrenous.”
“Brothers and sisters are the anchor of truth in the stormy sea of conflicts that spread falsehood. To evoke brothers and sisters is to remind those who are fighting, and all of us, that the feeling of fraternity uniting us is stronger than hatred and violence.”
“I would like to leave you with an image, that of an embrace. As a fruit of this afternoon spent together, I wish you to keep in your hearts and memories the desire to embrace the women and men of the world in order to build together a culture of peace.”

Francis’ address was a fairly short one, especially for his standards, but obviously not without blasphemy. Surely, for Bergoglio to call for a “great spiritual and social covenant” beyond all religions that “can restore the sacredness and inviolability of human dignity”, has got to be a new blow to the sacred Countenance of our Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Notice, too, that Francis speaks of “the heavens above”, a politically correct term that will work for people of almost any religion, and probably even those of none. The words “Lord” and “God” also made an appearance, but only one time each and with no further elaboration as to who might be meant. Obviously, the Holy Name was not mentioned at all.
It may be news to ‘Pope’ Francis, but a “feeling of fraternity” will never be able to defeat hatred, dissension, violence, bloodshed, or wars. Anyone who thinks otherwise does not understand the fallen human condition. But more on that in a minute.
Another Voice from Buenos Aires
As unbearable as Francis usually is in his speeches, on June 10 he was totally out-Francissed by Alejandro Roemmers, an Argentinian poet and philanthropist. Originator of the ‘Universal Embrace’, he also hails from Buenos Aires, like Bergoglio. The drivel Roemmers unloaded on the (thankfully) miniscule audience was unmatched and is one for the history books. We have transcribed the off-the-cuff translation provided by the Vatican interpreter, insofar as we could understand it. Ladies and gentlemen, read this text by Alejandro Roemmers at your own risk:
We have met here, we are all here, for a symbol, a gesture of unity that can be represented in an image that says more than a thousand words; that doesn’t need any translation and that can be understood all over the world.
It’s a hug, a hug that goes beyond words. It’s the language of the heart, that everybody understands; where time stands still, and we can all find each other.
The hug is a shelter strengthening us, where sadness hides away and joy multiplies. Where pain and fear are calmed down and the spirit is nourished. It’s a balm for the wounds of the soul. Because even without words, we can say to each other, “I understand you. I accept you. You are not alone. I love you.”
And the hug is a bridge, a bridge between two hearts, that creates an indestructible bond; a gift that we can all give at any time and in any place. And it’s [unintelligible] to shelter that we can offer to those who need us. And this embrace is a language, the language of universal love of souls; and when we sincerely hug each other, we create a moment of eternity.
This is why it has always been my dream to convene everyone — without excluding anyone — everyone to come and hug each other, sincerely, with love, just because we are all brothers and sisters. And we are brothers and sisters because we are indissolubly connected to each other. To each other, as I said, because we are cells of the same tissue, neurons of the same intelligence, and energies of a great universal love.
Perhaps this gesture, this hug, this embrace may seem small and perhaps insignificant to some. I can swear and guarantee that it is not. Because good prevails over evil. It’s enough that all of you here, all of us here, will really light a candle for darkness to begin to recede.
We are the vast majority of the world. We are those who seek peace. We want peace and love between people. But we must not be silent. We must speak up and say it to the world, now and every day. How do we say it? With our hugs, with our small daily gestures of kindness, generosity, and compassion — which can also travel all around the world and do good to all of us.
The new technologies, with their risk of addiction and manipulation, can also be, however, an opportunity to express love. Let us multiply by all possible means, using all possible mass media, all available screens, the small acts of kindness that we witness.
These are examples, examples that will drive us to be better and motivate us to be happier. This is the humanity that we want to have. And from today on, every small action, every word we utter, must lead us into this direction. Because we can make a difference. Each one of us can make a difference. Our lives can have purpose and meaning, and we can help thousands of other lives both today and in the future.
Don’t get lost into useless, sad, violent conflicts. We’re spiritual beings that go through a human experience. Let us work, hand in hand, for our own good and for the good and happiness of all. Let us leave behind the philosophy of scarcity and competition. Leave it behind for love, because where love is given, it multiplies. Let’s give the world an example, an image that endures, and that crosses over time and generations.
Now, now is the time for the peaceful revolution of fraternity. This is the great challenge of our time. Science and technology have already done their part. They have interconnected us and brought us together within a great planetary intelligence, the sum of natural and artificial intelligence.
Now it is us, it’s up to us human beings. We have to stand up to the occasion in front of us and put all the power of this technology at our service, at the service of all mankind, at the service of love, which is the only thing that will preserve us as a species and make us happier and stronger.
So now, in this spirit of universal fraternity, of Saint Francis, and of our beloved Holy Father, Pope Francis, I call upon you, dear brothers and sisters, to warmly and sincerely hug each other. Look into each other’s eyes. Open your arms wide. But, above all, do open your hearts wide.
May eternal and infinite love bless you all. Thank you.
Now this is simply sentimental greeting-card spirituality. It is a feel-good but anti-Christian Naturalism that thinks humanity can save itself if only it would try hard enough. A Freemason could not have said it better. If only we could all sincerely hug each other and live that embrace, the world’s woes would disappear! Finally there would be peace, so let’s get started already! A man who can say such things — and Roemmers claims to be a Catholic, by the way — has not understood the reality of original sin and its consequences, or simply does not believe in it.
Yet another ‘Declaration on Human Fraternity’
Another prominent moment of the entire spectacle was the signing of the Declaration on Human Fraternity — as if we needed yet another one after the 2019 Abu Dhabi document and the 2022 Kazakh declaration. It had been put together earlier that very day by 30 “distinguished Nobel Laureates also present in Saint Peter’s Square”, as Vatican News reports. The text of the declaration was read aloud, and signed, by Nadia Murad and Muhammad Yunus. Afterwards, ‘Cardinal’ Pietro Parolin, the Vatican Secretary of State, also signed it. Here is what it says:
Declaration on Human Fraternity
ROME, St. Peter’s Square, June 10th, 2023
“We are diverse, we are different, we have different cultures and religions, but we are brothers and sisters and we want to live in peace” (Pope Francis).
Every man is our brother, every woman is our sister, always. We want all to live together, as brothers and sisters in the Garden that is the Earth. The Garden of fraternity is the condition for all life.
We are witnesses of how, in every corner of the world, lost harmony blooms again when dignity is respected, tears are wiped away, work is fairly remunerated, education is guaranteed, health is cared for, diversity is appreciated, nature is restored, justice is honored, and communities face their loneliness and their fears.
Together, we choose to live our relationships based on fraternity, fueled by dialogue and by forgiveness that “does not mean forgetting” (Fratelli tutti, n. 250), but renounces and does not “yield to the same destructive force” (FT, n. 251) whose consequences we all suffer from.
United with Pope Francis, we want to reaffirm that “authentic reconciliation does not flee from conflict, but is achieved in conflict, resolving it through dialogue and open, honest and patient negotiation.” (FT, n. 244) All this within the context of the human rights framework.
We want to shout to the world in the name of fraternity: Never again war! It is peace, justice, equality that guide the fate of all mankind. No to fear, no to sexual and domestic violence! All armed conflicts must come to an end. We say no more nuclear weapons, no more land mines. No more forced migrations, ethnic cleansing, dictatorships, corruption and slavery. Let us stop the manipulation of technology and AI, let us put fraternity before technological development, so that it may permeate it.
We encourage countries to promote joint efforts in order to create a society of peace, for example by instituting Ministries of Peace.
We commit ourselves to healing the land stained by the blood of violence and hatred, by social inequalities and corruption of the heart. Let us counter hatred with love.
Compassion, sharing, generosity, sobriety, and responsibility are for us the choices that nurture personal fraternity, the fraternity of the heart.
Growing the seed of spiritual fraternity begins with us. It is enough to plant a small seed each day in our relationships: our homes, neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, public squares, and within decision-making institutions.
We also believe in social fraternity that recognizes equal dignity for all, fosters friendship and belonging, promotes education, equal opportunities, decent work and social justice, hospitality, solidarity and cooperation, social solidarity economy and a just ecological transition, a sustainable agriculture that ensures access to food for all, thus favouring harmonious relationships based on mutual respect and caring for the welfare of all.
In this perspective, it is possible to develop proximity actions and human laws, because “fraternity necessarily calls for something greater, which in turn enhances freedom and equality” (FT, n. 103).
Together, we want to build an environmental fraternity, to make Peace with nature, knowing that “everything is in relation to everything else”: the fate of the world, the care of creation, the harmony of nature and sustainable lifestyles. We want to build the future on the notes of Saint Francis’s Canticle of the Creatures, the song of eternal Life. The plot of universal fraternity weaves the threads of the Canticle’s verses: everything is in relation, and in relation with everything and everyone is Life.
Therefore, we, gathered on the occasion of the first World Meeting on Human Fraternity, call on all women and men of goodwill to embrace our appeal to fraternity. Our children, our future can only thrive in a world of peace, justice and equality, to the benefit of the single human family: only fraternity can generate humanity.
It is up to our freedom to want fraternity and to build it together, in unity. Join us in signing this appeal to embrace this dream and transform it into daily practices, so that it reaches the minds and hearts of all leaders and of those who, at every level, have a small or great civic responsibility.

This is pure Naturalism. And because it leaves out of account the supernatural origin of the fallen human condition, as well as the supernatural remedy, it can never be successful. It is an old trick of the devil to tell man he can save himself. He cannot.
Notice the many references to Bergoglio’s encyclical Fratelli Tutti (“FT”). As we have pointed out before, the essential content of this text, in which the false pope lays out his entire human fraternity agenda, is contained in a nutshell in the 1986 song Give a little Love by Hammond and West. If you’ve read the lyrics to that song, you’ve read the encyclical. It’s all “group hug” fluff, dressed up with a few biblical themes to give it a Catholic veneer.
What is conspicuously absent from the Declaration, by the way, is any mention of our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ. He it is who alone can solve all conflicts and turn swords into ploughshares (see Is 2:4), but there was no mention of Him, the “Prince of Peace” (Is 9:6), nor of the religion He founded, either in the Declaration nor in Bergoglio’s address.
That is quite consistent, however, since the Bergoglian human fraternity agenda is meant to transcend all religions and certainly has nothing to do with the supernatural charity of the Son of God: “No, Venerable Brethren, there is no genuine fraternity outside Christian charity. Through the love of God and His Son Jesus Christ Our Saviour, Christian charity embraces all men, comforts all, and leads all to the same faith and same heavenly happiness”, Pope St. Pius X wrote in his 1910 Apostolic Letter Notre Charge Apostolique condemning the French Sillonist movement.
Notice that Francis has no interest in restoring, as St. Pius X sought to do, all things in Christ (cf. Eph 1:10). He does not wish to lead the world to Christ and, through Him and His grace, to true and lasting peace. Instead, he looks for a better, more just and peaceful world in the natural bonds of humanity itself. This, however, is an endeavor guaranteed to fail: “Indeed, we have the human experience of pagan and secular societies of ages past to show that concern for common interests or affinities of nature weigh very little against the passions and wild desires of the heart” (St. Pius X, Notre Charge Apostolique).
The problem of sin humanity labors under is spiritual in nature and supernatural in origin.
The Answer is the Religion of Jesus Christ, not an interreligious Hug Fest
Our fallen human condition cannot be remedied except with God’s help. Therefore, Almighty God in His mercy and goodness sent us a Redeemer — His very own Son — to teach us the way of truth, to free us from the slavery of sin, and to enable us to keep His law. Any attempt to fix our broken world in some other way is ultimately bound to fail. It requires the light of the Gospel, and God’s grace, for us to overcome our sinfulness. Only when Christ reigns as King not only over individuals but also over nations and societies, will there be a true and lasting peace, and only then will mankind as a whole attain a temporal happiness that anticipates eternal happiness in Heaven. That is the teaching of Pope Pius XI (in the encyclicals Ubi Arcano and Quas Primas). “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you” (Jn 14:27).
In our world, without God’s help, good does not prevail over evil (note well, Mr. Roemmers). That much should be obvious. And though we may light all the candles this planet can hold, the darkness of sin will not recede in the smallest degree. There is only one Light of the world, and that is Jesus Christ: “In him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. That was the true light, which enlighteneth every man that cometh into this world” (Jn 1:4,5,9); “Again therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying: I am the light of the world: he that followeth me, walketh not in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (Jn 8:12).
These are very basic truths, and they are true universally: for all time, for all peoples, for all societies, in every part of the world. But they are denied by the the new religion that has its doctrinal foundation in the Second Vatican Council (1962-65).
To be clear: There is nothing wrong with trying to “build a better world”, but it cannot be done in a way that ignores, or even opposes, the laws and teachings laid down by the Creator of that world: “All things were made by him: and without him was made nothing that was made” (Jn 1:3). Alas, today as back then, “He came unto his own, and his own received him not” (Jn 1:11).
In 1952, Pope Pius XII in a radio address outlined how to create a truly better world that is built not on the principles of Freemasonry but on the principles of the true Gospel:
This fatherly exhortation, beloved sons and daughters of Rome, comes to you from Our heart—from Our heart which is troubled on the one hand over the prolongation, without any definitive clarification, of the dangerous situation of the world around us, and on the other, by a far too widespread listlessness which prevents many from undertaking that return to Jesus Christ, the Church and the Christian way of life which We have often singled out as the decisive remedy for the universal crisis agitating the world. But the confidence that We shall find in you the comfort of understanding, as well as determined readiness for action, has moved Us to open Our heart to you. Today, give heed to a rousing call from the lips of your Father and Shepherd, from Us who cannot remain mute and inert before a world which is unconsciously walking paths which sweep on to ruin both souls and bodies, the good and the wicked, civilization and peoples. …
To share with you these anxieties of Ours, We have chosen the eve of tomorrow’s feast of the Virgin of Lourdes, because it commemorates the miraculous apparitions which, almost a hundred years ago, in that century of rationalistic aberration and religious depression, were the merciful answer of God and His Heavenly Mother to the rebellion of men, an irresistible summons back to the supernatural, and the first step towards a progressive religious renascence. …
Now you are aware that the dangers at present threatening this generation are much more widespread and grave than pestilence and the convulsions of nature, even though their continuing threat has begun to make the nations almost insensible and apathetic. …
Even the Holy Year [of 1950], which brought on a prodigious flowering of Christian life, unfolding first in your midst and then spreading out over the entire world, should not be regarded merely as a brilliant but fleeting meteor, nor as a momentary obligation long since fulfilled. Rather should it be viewed as a first promising step towards the complete restoration of the spirit of the Gospel which, in addition to snatching millions of souls from eternal ruin, is the only thing that can assure the peaceful co-existence and fruitful collaboration of peoples.

It is an entire world which must be rebuilt from its foundations, transformed from savage to human, from human to divine, that is to say, according to the heart of God. Millions of men are pleading for a change of course, as they look towards the Church of Christ as to the only strong pilot who, with all due respect for human liberty, can take the lead in so vast an undertaking. …
How could We, placed by God, despite Our unworthiness, as a torch in the darkness, as the salt of the earth, and as Shepherd of the Christian Flock, refuse to accept this saving mission? Just as, on a day now long passed, and because such was God’s will, We accepted the heavy cross of the Pontificate, so also do We now bow to the arduous duty of being, in so far as Our weak strength permits, the herald of a better world willed by God, and whose standard We yearn to pass on first of all to you, beloved children of Rome, to you who are nearest to Us, who are entrusted in a more special manner to Our care, and who by that very fact are also set up as flaming lights on a candelabra, as a leaven among your brethren, and a city built on a mountain—to you, from whom others rightfully expect greater courage and more generous readiness for action. Receive with a noble spirit of dedication, recognizing it as a call from God and as a worthy rule of life, the holy charge which your Shepherd and Father today entrusts to you: to launch a mighty re-awakening of thought and action.
This re-awakening is a duty for everyone without exception—clergy and people, those in authority, families, groups, individuals—along the entire front of the complete renewal of Christian life, along the line of the defense of moral values, in the realization of social justice, in the reconstruction of the Christian order, in such a way that the outward face of the city of Rome, which since the Apostolic times has been the center of the Church, may soon shine forth brilliant with holiness and beauty.

This is not the moment to discuss, to search for new principles, to fix new aims and goals. Both the one and the other, already known and substantially verified, because taught by Christ Himself, clarified by the teachings of the Church down through the centuries, adapted to immediate circumstances by the late Supreme Pontiffs, await one thing only—concrete execution.
…Let those of good will be invited; let them offer themselves spontaneously. Let their law be that of unconditional fealty to the person of Jesus Christ and to His teachings. Let their offering of themselves be humble and obedient; let their labor enter as an active element into the great current which God shall set in motion and direct through His ministers.

Thus Rome shall relive her century-old mission of spiritual teacher of peoples, not merely, as it was and is, by reason of the Chair of truth which God has established in her midst, but by the example of her people, once again fervent in faith, exemplary in morals, one in the fulfillment of religious and civil duties and, if it please the Lord, prosperous and happy. We sincerely hope that this mighty awakening, to which We today exhort you, fostered without delay and tenaciously executed according to the pattern marked out, which others can develop in detail, shall be immediately imitated in other dioceses, near and far, so that Our eyes shall see not only cities, but nations, continents, the entire human race return to Christ.

It is obvious that the better world agenda of Pope Pius XII is not that of Jorge Bergoglio. In fact, the two are mutually exclusive.
This is also evident when reading the June 10 Declaration on Human Fraternity quoted above. The text, which makes no mention of God, claims that “only fraternity can generate humanity”. It is anyone’s guess what that is even supposed to mean. What is clear, however, is that what is being proposed is precisely what Pope St. Pius X condemned in 1910, when he said of the Sillonists:
This … is what they want to do with human society; they dream of changing its natural and traditional foundations; they dream of a Future City built on different principles, and they dare to proclaim these more fruitful and more beneficial than the principles upon which the present Christian City rests.
No, Venerable Brethren, We must repeat with the utmost energy in these times of social and intellectual anarchy when everyone takes it upon himself to teach as a teacher and lawmaker – the City cannot be built otherwise than as God has built it; society cannot be setup unless the Church lays the foundations and supervises the work; no, civilization is not something yet to be found, nor is the New City to be built on hazy notions; it has been in existence and still is: it is Christian civilization, it is the Catholic City. It has only to be set up and restored continually against the unremitting attacks of insane dreamers, rebels and miscreants. OMNIA INSTAURARE IN CHRISTO [=to restore all things in Christ].

There was a time when the Sillon, as such, was truly Catholic. It recognized but one moral force – Catholicism; and the Sillonists were wont to proclaim that Democracy would have to be Catholic or would not exist at all. A time came when they changed their minds. They left to each one his religion or his philosophy. They ceased to call themselves Catholics and, for the formula “Democracy will be Catholic” they substituted “Democracy will not be anti-Catholic”, any more than it will be anti-Jewish or anti-Buddhist. This was the time of “the Greater Sillon”. For the construction of the Future City they appealed to the workers of all religions and all sects. These were asked but one thing: to share the same social ideal, to respect all creeds, and to bring with them a certain supply of moral force.

Powerful words! The holy Pope Pius X had already demolished, 113 years ago, the false and dangerous ideology being promoted by ‘Pope’ Francis today.
Final Thoughts
The Vatican’s ‘Not Alone’ extravaganza is simply the latest colossal betrayal of Jesus Christ, His Gospel, and His holy Catholic Church by the counterfeit church that occupies the Catholic structures. The only thing this interreligious movement for fraternity will accomplish is draw down greater punishments from God.
The ‘Catholic authorities’ occupying the Vatican today want a world ruled not by Jesus Christ and His Gospel but one that is ruled by the Naturalist principles of Freemasonry. Understanding that there are obviously people (especially young people) involved in this who truly do not know better because they were never taught true Catholicism, there are plenty who do or ought to know better, especially ones in Catholic clerical garb.
These people believe and teach that the ultimate purpose of human existence is to be found in the temporal world; that the goal of human life is to enjoy a few decades of peace, harmony, and justice here on earth, before going to the grave forever. How far removed this is from the Good News of Jesus Christ, who has called us to a life of supernatural abundance (see Jn 10:10) by treading with Him the royal Way of the Cross here on earth (see Mt 16:24) so as to enjoy an eternity of bliss in the Beatific Vision forever.
Those who seek their happiness in this life, whether through ‘fraternity’ or in some other way, will only reap death, because fallen human nature is stained by original sin and its consequences: “For the wages of sin is death” (Rom 6:23a); “Wherefore as by one man sin entered into this world, and by sin death; and so death passed upon all men, in whom all have sinned” (Rom 5:12).
But ‘Pope’ Francis is not interested in saving souls from sin and eternal death. If his external words and actions are any indication, his real goal is to ensure that he will be #NotAlone in hell.
