Talk about useless commands…
Swiss Novus Ordo Bishop: “A church in which the priests give the commands, is embarrassing, infertile, and useless!”
Mr. Joseph Bonnemain is one of the latest additions to the Bergoglian bunch of Novus Ordo bishops. A member of Opus Dei, the 73-year-old was made a “bishop” only earlier this year and now heads the diocese of Chur in eastern Switzerland. This diocese was formerly led by “Bp.” Vitus Huonder, who is now with the Lefebvrists.
As we showed in a prior post, Bonnemain is a man after “Pope” Francis’ heart:
The fact that the new “bishop” in Chur has no problem giving “Holy Communion” to known Protestants, blessing sodomite couples, or promoting case-by-case situation ethics, gives a glimpse as to what must be going on behind his forehead, and it’s not Catholicism.
This past Sunday, Oct. 17, was the official kick-off for the diocesan consultation phase in preparation for the 2023 Synod on Synodality. The threatened goal is that of a “listening and inclusive church”, though presumably not so inclusive as to include the unvaccinated, but that’s a different topic.
Introducing the synodal process in Chur, “Bp.” Bonnemain gave a corresponding sermon. The Gospel reading for the day was that of Mark 10:35-45, in which the sons of Zebedee, Saints James and John, ask the Lord Jesus to sit with Him in glory, one to His right and the other to His left. Bonnemain misused that beautiful passage to launch into a tirade against the hierarchical structure of the Church, which is, of course, of divine institution.
Here is a one-and-a-half minute excerpt specially highlighted by the Swiss “Catholic Media Center”. The sermon in question was given in German (Switzerland has four official languages: Italian, German, French, and Romansh). Our English translation can be found below the embedded video:

Translation of the above excerpt:
With God there is only one place: the best place, the only place, namely, His heart. And this place — the first place, the best place, the only place — is the place for everyone. One can only be there if one is consciously willing to share this place with everyone. All may ask themselves whether they have such an understanding.
A church in which the Pope wants to have the best place and the most important place — [in which he wants to be] the super-boss, so to speak — a church in which the bishops see themselves as more important than the others and decide on their own; a church in which female theologians and male theologians want to assert themselves; a church in which the priests give the commands, [such a church] is an embarrassing, infertile, and useless church! Got that?! Is that clear … enough?
With these words Bonnemain must think he scored a home run, and with Jorge Bergoglio (“Pope” Francis) he probably did, for this is Bergoglianism to a tee!
A “democratic” and “egalitarian” church is what they want, and not a “clericalist” one, although, ironically, they are more than happy, of course, to go über-clericalist themselves in order to achieve that goal.
It must not have dawned on Mr. Bonnemain, but he stands condemned by his own words, for he is in fact clerically commanding his people to accept this false doctrine of ecclesiastical egalitarianism and democracy. Got that?!
The fact is, of course, that nothing is more useless than a church that does not speak with the authority of God, that is unsure of itself and its purpose, that first has to poll its own members to figure out in what direction to go. Such a church is not the Church founded by God for a supernatural purpose, it is a church of, by, and for man — of whom they have long made an idol:
…[T]his … is the distinguishing mark of Antichrist, [that] man has with infinite temerity put himself in the place of God, raising himself above all that is called God; in such wise that although he cannot utterly extinguish in himself all knowledge of God, he has contemned God’s majesty and, as it were, made of the universe a temple wherein he himself is to be adored. “He sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself as if he were God” (II. Thess. ii., 2).

St. Paul warned us against people like Bonnemain: “For such false apostles are deceitful workmen, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ” (2 Cor 11:13).
