Good riddance!

GONE!
Rorate Cæli Blog Removes Picture of “Pope” Francis

The popular pseudo-traditionalist blog Rorate Caeli has not taken too kindly to the revocation of Summorum Pontificum by Jorge Bergoglio (“Pope Francis”), the man they stubbornly recognize as head of the Catholic Church while refusing him submission. Francis’ document Traditionis Custodes has thrown them all into complete shock, and by decreeing that it take immediate effect, they do not even have a grace period in which to catch their breath and gather their senses.

Now that a few days have passed since the release of the new motu proprio, it looks like the editors of Rorate Caeli could no longer stand looking at the man they supposedly honor as the Vicar of Jesus Christ on earth, Father and Teacher of all Christians. In the right margin of their blog, right underneath their logo, there used to be prominently displayed, for the longest time, a picture of the Argentinian apostate dressed as Pope, which is now conspicuously absent.

This is what the sequence of images in the right margin of the Rorate Caeli blog used to look like (verify here):

At least as of today, the same blog margin looks like this:

Good riddance!

The image of the papal impostor kneeling on a prie-dieu was never a realistic representation of who Bergoglio really is (in more ways than one), since kneeling is something he usually reserves for human beings and not for God.

So, what are we saying here? Are we suggesting that Rorate Caeli has dumped Francis and is now sedevacantist? No, not at all. Not by a long shot. They just don’t want to see their adversary anymore for the time being.

The image of the kneeling Francis used to link to a “Prayer for the Pope” page on their blog, which remains up and accessible as before. Ironically, the prayer is the following:

V. Let us pray for our Pontiff Francis.

R. May the Lord preserve him, and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth, and deliver him not up to the will of his enemies.

Let us pray.

O God, Shepherd and Ruler of all Thy faithful, look mercifully upon Thy servant Francis, whom Thou hast chosen as shepherd to preside over Thy Church: grant him, we beseech Thee, that, by word and example, he may edify those over whom he hath charge, so that together with the flock committed to him, he may attain everlasting life. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

One may suspect that this page will be the next thing to go on this blog, considering that surely no one on the Rorate Caeli editorial team is currently asking God to “preserve him, and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth, and deliver him not up to the will of his enemies”. Indeed, “the will of his enemies” would have to include “the will of Rorate Caeli” at this point.

Oh well, principles matter: The Papacy has consequences.

All this bewilderment the semi-trads are now experiencing is simply the consequence of living a lie, that is, of embracing something that, upon closer examination, was clearly built on falsehoods and illusion. Summorum Pontificum was always a house built on sand, and, as prophesied by Our Blessed Lord, it has now come crashing down: “And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was the fall thereof” (Mt 7:27).

Great indeed!
