Get rewarded for supporting us!

Let’s Make It Happen!
Novus Ordo Watch Challenge 2017
Fundraiser Kickoff

To get right to the point: We’re running out of money. However, this is not simply another appeal for donations — this is the kickoff to a really cool fundraising campaign in which donors are rewarded, so make sure you keep reading. (If you don’t care about all that and just want to help, click here to make a tax-deductible donation now.)

The new year has begun, and for us it’s the first full year as a non-profit organization. We now have a pretty good idea of what expenses we have and what we need to go forward at full throttle. We have created a budget with what we know and what we anticipate we will spend this year and determined that our fundraising goal for the entire year of 2017 has to be $50,000. This means that we need to raise roughly $4,150 each month to be able to pay all expenses associated with running our organization and this web site, which includes employing one person full time.

All Novus Ordo Watch content is offered free to anyone who visits. It will remain this way. But since it is not free to produce this content, there is only one way to fill the gap, and that is by asking people to make voluntary donations. This is our big appeal for the year, and we hope you are listening, because only when the people who frequent this web site agree to chip in, can this web site actually happen. Please do not simply click away — if you are reading this, then this appeal is directed also at you, not just at everyone else.

Just as lots of hands make for light work, so lots of wallets make for small donation amounts. Here is what would have to happen for our 2017 fundraising goal to be met:

  • 500 people give $8.33 a month (=$100 a year), OR
  • 250 people give $16.67 a month (=$200 a year), OR
  • 100 people give $41.67 a month (=$500 a year), OR
  • 50 people give $83.33 a month (=$1,000 a year), OR
  • 25 people give $166.67 a month (=$2,000 a year), OR
  • 10 people give $416.67 a month (=$5,000 a year)

Keep in mind: If you’re in the United States, your contribution is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law! That basically means that you are allowed to take the total amount you have donated in the year off your taxable income for that year.

If you’re of the opinion that Novus Ordo Watch is not producing “enough” content for you to make a contribution, please understand that you have things backwards: The more funds we receive, the more content we can put up, simply because more funds allow us to be more productive (for example, by investing in equipment/software upgrades or purchasing additional hardware). Besides, more funds allow us to focus on the actual daily work here without constantly having to fret about whether we can pay the bills or where the next donation is going to come from. In fact, the time it took to produce this fundraising appeal we would rather have spent producing content slamming the Novus Ordo Sect and its aiders and abettors.

To be clear: We’re not putting up this appeal for fun, to simply get “more”. We’re putting it up because we have to. Right now we do not have what it takes to keep going. We encourage you to sign up for an automatic monthly contribution. You set it once and can forget about it. And don’t be concerned — you can cancel it at any time, no questions asked. It helps us greatly to have contributors on a monthly schedule because by and large it allows us to anticipate support for the future, whereas sporadic one-time donations are unpredictable (but still greatly appreciated!).

At the same time, we would like to thank once more all of you who are already contributing so generously and so loyally. Thank you!

We’ll get to those donor rewards in just a minute. Keep reading. 🙂

Let’s stick together, folks: Let each one of us do his part, and it will work out just fine. Raising $50,000 in one year is not that difficult if everyone helps a little. We can do it. If everyone who constantly uses this web site, benefits from it, or finds it useful, chips in, we should be able to meet our fundraising goal easily. We are currently averaging roughly 2,200 unique visitors daily. We hope that most of our visitors will agree that if the content we produce is worth frequently visiting our web site for, then it is also worth supporting.

So… What about those rewards??

Each month during which this campaign is active, we will offer specific gifts to donors who qualify. The gifts themselves and/or the conditions which need to be met to receive them will vary from month to month throughout the duration of the campaign, so it is important for people to check every month to see what the current rewards are and how to qualify for them.

What sort of rewards are we talking about? Gifts, prizes, or perks for donors may include the following: thank-you gifts such as Catholic books or DVDs; free season passes to content on True Restoration; participation in a giveaway/raffle; and such like.

What sort of requirements to qualify are we talking about? Conditions may include donating a certain minimum amount; setting up an automatically-recurring monthly donation; being a first-time donor; and such like. Different rewards for different conditions!

The rewards/incentives for the month of Februrary 2017 can be seen here:

Our exciting 2017 campaign will run continuously until any one of the following conditions is met (whichever happens first):

  • we have reached our goal of $50,000
  • December 31, 2017
  • we are broke

Speaking of donations, the hapless adherents of the Society of St. Pius X will possibly find very soon that their hard-earned money which they gave in good faith has effectively been turned over to the Novus Ordo Sect, thanks to the efforts of Bishop Bernard Fellay and his administration to enter into an agreement with the Vatican that converts the SSPX into a personal prelature under “Pope” Francis. See, false theology does have consequences. Novus Ordo Watch exists to expose and refute that false theology and teach the true and traditional doctrine of the Catholic Church.

Here is a funny meme illustrating this very point, which you are encouraged to share on social media (click meme to enlarge):

Since “Pope” Francis has appeared on the scene, the Modernist apostasy has picked up speed and things are deteriorating daily, as is clear from a simple look at the daily news coming from the Vatican and all around Novus Ordo Land. We do not know how much time our Blessed Lord gives to each of us to do good, but we do know that we can only do good while we have the opportunity, and our time is not unlimited. It has been said that there are only two days in the year when one cannot perform a work of charity: yesterday and tomorrow. Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow may never come. The time for action is necessarily always today: “Behold, now is the acceptable time” for salvation, says St. Paul (2 Cor 6:2), and surely this is true also for works of charity.

Please keep in mind: Unlike many other web sites, ours has no annoying ads, no floating pop-ups, and no blinking banners vying for your attention. We’d like to keep it that way. We don’t have a huge budget, but we all have to eat and “the labourer is worthy of his hire” (Lk 10:7). Then we have to pay taxes and spend money also on web hosting, cybersecurity, software, podcast hosting, books and magazine subscriptions, occasional legal and professional fees, and so forth. Setting aside some money for inevitable equipment upgrades in the future is a good idea, too.

We hope we have demonstrated that we are not just talk but action. We are about getting things done, and we do. (We just began cranking out super-fast mini podcasts!) We have tried very hard always to deliver first and ask for support later. But now is later. Please help us continue to oppose the Vatican II Sect, the monstrous false pope and his henchmen, and the false opposition that is aiding and abetting the anti-Catholic revolution in the Vatican.

By supporting Novus Ordo Watch, you are helping David fight Goliath (cf. 1 Kgs [1 Sam] 17:37-51), so to speak. Our opposition is huge and well-funded, either absolutely or relatively speaking. Think of the countless news and commentary outlets, the magazines, the TV and radio shows, the media productions, blogs, forums, and web sites the Vatican II Sect has in all its various branches (hardcore Novus Ordo, conservative Novus Ordo, semi-traditionalist). They have plenty of staff, resources, and connections. We sedevacantists have very little by comparison, which is why we must stick together and synergize our resources, which we can then leverage against the Novus Ordo and semi-traditionalist madness which has been afflicting souls for so long.

Please consider also that there are a number of people who benefit from our web site but are unable to help out financially. If you are of sufficient means, please consider that such folks rely on people like you. Your support ultimately benefits not only yourself but also, and perhaps especially, others. You may be a long-time sedevacantist and already know all the things we say day in and day out on this site, but many people are seeing the evidence against the Vatican II Sect for the first time. More and more people are “waking up” and starting to see the light — we know this from the emails we get — so by supporting us financially, you can aid in the conversion of many, which, in turn, strengthens Sedevacantism as a whole and indirectly helps support and grow sedevacantist parishes, seminaries, religious orders, and communities around the globe. This is the beauty of it: Supporting Novus Ordo Watch does not mean taking money away from other sedevacantist causes but actually multiplies that support in the long run.

Lastly, keep in mind that anything given out of love for Christ will be rewarded by Him: “…as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me” (Mt 25:40; cf. Mt 19:29). Our earthly possessions are thus turned into heavenly treasure, “where no thief approacheth, nor moth corrupteth” (Lk 12:33). God will not be outdone in generosity: “for God loveth a cheerful giver” (2 Cor 9:7).

Make your donation here, and spread the word!

Thank you for reading, and thank you for your support.

Blessed be God!

  1. Novus Ordo Watch

Yes, you can certainly have the details. Novus Ordo Watch is a non-profit organization, not only a web site. The budget for 2017 is broken down as follows:
Gross (=before taxes & deductions) salary for 1 full-time employee: $41,600; payroll taxes: $3,200; software: $1,000; web site expenses: $1,000; legal fees: $500; fundraising expenses: $500; books/magazines/media: $1,000; bank/transaction fees: $700; all else: $500. As you can see, this does not include setting aside any money for computer equipment upgrades or anything like that.

This breakdown is what I was looking for. Thank you. It would be interesting to hear how you started this organization/web site
