Brandmuller: “It’s all or nothing”…

Francis has allegedly said: “I may go down in history as the one who split the Catholic Church”!

Just a few hours ago, the online edition of the secularist German periodical Der Spiegel published an interesting article on Francis’ explosive Christmas greetings to his curia yesterday and the general atmosphere in the Vatican. The article, penned by Walter Mayr, is entitled, “Der Papst kocht”, which translates as, “The Pope is fuming”, a reference to Edward Pentin’s recent revelation that Francis was “boiling with rage” at the public release of the dubia submitted by “Cardinals” Burke, Brandmüller, Caffarra, and Meisner in November. It can be accessed here:

Although somewhat brief, Mayr’s article includes some interesting new revelations: The author quotes “Cardinal” Walter Brandmüller as saying that now “it’s all or nothing, to put it casually, for this concerns the very core of the whole matter, the doctrine of the Faith”. Brandmuller added that “he who thinks that continuous adultery is reconcilable with the [worthy] reception of Holy Communion, is a heretic and presses on towards schism”, words that can only stoke the flames already burning in the chaotic Vatican under Jorge Bergoglio.

But the most explosive quote in Der Spiegel‘s article comes, as usual, from Francis himself, at least according to unnamed sources. Mayr relates: “In his innermost circle, Francis is said to have once self-critically articulated himself thus: ‘It’s not impossible that I will go down in history as the one who split the Catholic Church.'”

There is no doubt that he will go down in history, and not in a good way. He may even end up being known as the Roman antipope who split the Vatican II Sect into two camps, both of them Modernist, but one in favor of adultery and the other against it.

In other news: Five days after St. Januarius’ blood failed to liquefy in Naples cathedral — which is historically a sign heralding impending calamity — it was reported that the Campi Flegrei volcano, which is located right in the Naples area, is reawakening. An eruption could impact as many as 500,000 people:

Perhaps Almighty God will solve this entire Francis / Novus Ordo Sect problem in His own way shortly.

“…as the one who split the Catholic Church.” I wonder, assuming the quotation is accurate, if in the depths of this heretic’s soul, that there is some self-doubt.regarding his misbegotten venture. He didn’t say, as the “pope”. Maybe, he hasen’t completely separated his soul from Christ. Is it possible that buried beneath his demonic pride and arrogance, sanctifying grace has kept alive a tiny whisper of God’s eternal Truth, that comes out in indirect ways, in spite of his obstinacy? Or am I indulging in wishful thinking? Because, in my heart of hearts, I accept that there are souls, who have willed unending evils to the point that their wills can no longer go back to God. I do not deny free will, just the unending abuse of the will in the service of evil will make true repentence impossible. In my understanding, the Obamas, the Clintons and Planned Parenthood are, with some exceptions, doomed souls. Is Bergoglio one of those souls?

“Is it possible that buried beneath his demonic pride and arrogance, sanctifying grace has kept alive a tiny whisper of God’s eternal Truth, that comes out in indirect ways, in spite of his obstinacy?”

That would require that he not be in the state of mortal sin, which is a tall order indeed at this point.

If anything, his soul’s predicament is worse than Obama’s, because at least Obama isn’t making it his primary mission to wipe out Catholicism by pretending to be the Pope of the Catholic Church and instead pushing Cultural Marxism.

Well, your point is a good one, and I don’t have much theological knowledge. There’s two points I can make. Mortal sin does not destroy the soul’s Christian faith, in and of itself. An ordinary faithful Catholic commits a mortal sin. Then goes to confession and receives absolution. So there has to be sufficient faith or sanctifying grace in his soul to incline him to go to confession. A mortal sin separates the soul from God’s Love. It’s his choice to sin that separates the soul. He has disobeyed God. i.e., he no longer loves God. But the theological virtue of faith is still in his soul.

Now to get to Bergoglio. This guy is no ordinary sinner. He is a heretic or an apostate. And isn’t it a contradiction for me to postulate a tiny grace in his soul if he is an apostate? Maybe.

I was trying to express or ask if it’s possible that there is some grace left in his soul. If apostasy is an absolute state of rejection, BY DEFINITION, and I usually refer to him as an apostate anyway, but how are we to know. We have his endless verbal, written outrages which are good enough for me to conclude he is a heretic or apostate. But that is not a “legal” determination, as NOW puts it so clearly. Only the Teaching Church can make that “legal” determination.

So, in the meantime, it seems to me that only God truly knows tha state of Bergoglio’s soul. Or until a future pope declares him an apostate/antipope or not.

The difficulty here is that no distinction is made between the different types of grace.

Mortal sin wipes out all sanctifying grace in the soul. What moves the mortal sinner to go to confession is not sanctifying grace in the soul — which is absent — but what is called “actual grace.” Actual grace is necessary for any act to be salutary: http://newadvent.org/cathen/06689x.htm

There are many other types of grace.

We need not know the state of Bergoglio’s soul to conclude he is a heretic or an apostate. As St. Pius X said: “Although they express their astonishment that We should number them amongst the enemies of the Church, no one will be reasonably surprised that We should do so, if, leaving out of account the internal disposition of the soul, of which God alone is the Judge, he considers their tenets, their manner of speech, and their action.” Encyclical Pascendi, n. 3 – http://www.papalencyclicals.net/Pius10/p10pasce.htm

Thanks for the clarification regarding sanctifying and actual graces. I knew I was not sure of differences in graces but neglected to mention it.

Your second point. That too is my understanding, and I thought my point was clear, but I guess not.

When I started to follow your posts, I was basing my straight forward judgements of Bergoglio on his outrages, realizing that only God knows the ultimate disposition of his soul. Once I got past my own resistance to seeing Jorge for what he truly is, I could no longer deny or pretend that he’s not evil

Your clarification of personal and “legal” judgements, ” internal and external forums” helped me to think more clearly theologically.

Pertinacity in sin is a very grave matter. Who would advise him (Bergoglio) of this? He is steeped in and surrounded by those who, if they were honest, hate Jesus Christ, as they hate His Church and have knowingly deceived billions of souls!

          • Novus Ordo Watch

For there to be pertinacity, it is not required that there be a formal warning of a superior. All it requires is that the heretic in question is aware that he is going against the dogma of the Church, which in the case of a cleric, must actually be presumed. In Bergoglio’s case, the pertinacity is quite manifest.

That is why I pray for his conversion…God makes miracles….if He did so for Paul who persecuted the Christians, and made out of him a zealous apostle for the conversion of the pagans, He can do the same for Bergogglio… WE MUST PRAY for it…We underline his stupidities…but do we remember to do pray for him…

Bergolio has no qualms about splitting the Church in two. I find it amusing to what lengths the will go to try and hold together two different religions (trads vs mods). It is time for the Great Schism to occur. Its 50 years past time in my opinion.

It may be time for the Final Battle. “And I, when I return, will I find faith upon the earth?” paraphrasing Our Lord Jesus Christ.

    This sentence is worth repeating:
There is no doubt that he will go down in history, and not in a good way. He may even end up being known as the Roman antipope who split the Vatican II Sect into two camps, both of them Modernist, but one in favor of adultery and the other against it.
