“An Enemy hath done this” (Mt 13:28)…

Facade of St. Peter’s defiled with “Climate Change” Light Show

It was anything but heavenly. At 7:00 pm local time today, the Vatican presented a most undignified spectacle: A light-show entitled Fiat Lux — “Let there be light” (cf. Gen 1:3) — was projected onto the facade of Saint Peter’s Basilica, the largest Catholic church in the entire world and a sacred building whose very architecture points the mind heavenwards.

“Mind the things that are above, not the things that are upon the earth”, St. Paul exhorts us (Col 3:2). But in the Vatican today, everybody’s thoughts were drawn towards the natural, as the most bizarre images flashed across the beautiful outside of the basilica under which the bones of St. Peter are kept. These sights were augmented by sounds — sounds that included howling, grunting, chirping, roaring, and the like, which made for very creepy experience.

The “art show” — which doesn’t differ much from the “Electric Church” desecration in Austria in recent years — was put together and promoted by a partner coalition including The World Bank Group, Paul G. Allen’s Vulcan Inc., the Li Ka Shing Foundation, Obscura, and Okeanos. See the official web site here.

Welcome to the “Year of Mercy”, which was opened by Francis earlier today. We, on the other hand, are countering the bogus Modernist “mercy” claptrap with our very own special jubilee year, namely, the “Year of Exclusion, Judgment, and Condemnation.” Our official inauguration post can be found here, and the first installment can be read here.

What follows are three sets of five chilling images of the disturbing Fiat Lux performance, followed by the complete video feed provided by the Vatican’s television station.

“And I went in and saw, and behold every form of creeping things, and of living creatures, the abomination, and all the idols of the house of Israel, were painted on the wall all round about” (Ez 8:10).

“And they changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of the image of a corruptible man, and of birds, and of fourfooted beasts, and of creeping things. Wherefore God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleanness, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen” (Rom 1:23-25).

Well then, happy Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
