Not an April Fool’s Joke:

JUDAS CHURCH:
Austrian Novus Ordos Seek Rehabilitation of Judas Iscariot

This says a lot about the spiritual state of souls in the Novus Ordo Church: They want to rehabilitate the “Son of Perdition”, Judas Iscariot. Have a look:

Yes, in Austria, the country that gave the world Adolf Hitler, some Novus Ordos, with the blessing of their diocesan “bishop”, seek the rehabilitation of Judas, who betrayed our Lord Jesus Christ and died in despair by committing suicide, thus ensuring his own damnation. Our Lord called him a “devil” (Jn 6:71) and said of him, “Those whom thou gavest me have I kept; and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture may be fulfilled” (Jn 17:12). Jesus Christ also said of Judas, “woe to that man by whom the Son of man shall be betrayed: it were better for him, if that man had not been born” (Matt 26:24). Looks like the only one they haven’t tried to rehabilitate yet is Satan himself. Don’t say it can’t happen!

Judas is eternally lost because he died in his sins through despair, and this judgment by Almighty God was infinitely just. It must be a lesson to all of us that we not die in sin, that we neither presume nor despair of our salvation, but rather cultivate the virtue of hope: “O my God, relying on Thy almighty power and infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon of my sins, the help of Thy grace, and Life Everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer” (Act of Hope).

No sin is too great to be forgiven — Christ pardons all who come to Him and beg Him for forgiveness through His Church, assuming we are truly contrite for our sins and are firmly resolved to amend our lives. Judas despaired and so did not beg Christ for forgiveness. Although he regretted his betrayal, he was not supernaturally contrite — it is thus that he lost his soul eternally.
