Roman Catholic Magisterial Documents
The Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church has published countless doctrinal and disciplinary texts throughout its 2,000-year history: papal and conciliar constitutions, decrees, bulls, letters, encyclicals, allocutions, speeches, etc. There is a woeful lack of these texts on the internet, at least in the English language. For this reason, Novus Ordo Watch makes an effort to procure, translate, transcribe, or simply reproduce important hard-to-find magisterial documents for the benefit of all Catholics.
Further below you will find a list of the magisterial texts available on our web site. Immediately below, there is a short list of third-party web sites that feature an abundance of magisterial documents in Latin, English, or other languages:
- Documenta Catholica Omnia
- Acta Sanctae Sedis (1865-1908)
- Acta Apostolicae Sedis (1909-1958)
- Denzinger’s Sources of Catholic Dogma (1954)
- Papal Encyclicals Online
