New document Fiducia Supplicans released…
‘Pope’ Francis Green-Lights Blessings of Sodomite Couples
The so-called Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) released a document today that essentially allows Novus Ordo priests to bless sinful unions. In particular, it permits the blessing not simply of sodomitic individuals but precisely of couples. Of course the same goes for heterosexual couples who are in an adulterous union or otherwise ‘irregular situation’.
Entitled Fiducia Supplicans, the document has been published by the Vatican press office in Italian, French, English, German, and Spanish:
The declaration was written by ‘Cardinal’ Victor Manuel Fernandez, prefect of the DDF and Vatican expert on kissing. It won’t come as a surprise that the text bears the explicit approval of ‘Pope’ Francis. In fact Fernandez and his sidekick, ‘Mgr.’ Armanda Matteo, met with Francis today precisely for getting their document signed (see photo here).
It takes Fernandez, whom we have dubbed Francis’ doctrinal undertaker from the beginning, a total of 30 paragraphs to prepare the reader to accept what he finally pronounces in n. 31:
Within the horizon outlined here appears the possibility of blessings for couples in irregular situations and for couples of the same sex, the form of which should not be fixed ritually by ecclesial authorities to avoid producing confusion with the blessing proper to the Sacrament of Marriage. In such cases, a blessing may be imparted that not only has an ascending value but also involves the invocation of a blessing that descends from God upon those who—recognizing themselves to be destitute and in need of his help—do not claim a legitimation of their own status, but who beg that all that is true, good, and humanly valid in their lives and their relationships be enriched, healed, and elevated by the presence of the Holy Spirit. These forms of blessing express a supplication that God may grant those aids that come from the impulses of his Spirit—what classical theology calls “actual grace”—so that human relationships may mature and grow in fidelity to the Gospel, that they may be freed from their imperfections and frailties, and that they may express themselves in the ever-increasing dimension of the divine love.
In this post, we are not going to provide analysis or commentary just yet. Instead, we will simply link to some of the first news reports on this document, from all kinds of different sources:

Of course there are a number of stipulations attached to this permission of blessing gay couples, but these do not suffice to exonerate Club Bergoglio and will certainly go under for the most part anyway — and they will definitely not be enforced. Then the ‘popesplainers’ will be able to produce more content, lamenting all those terrible ‘abuses’ of people who are ‘disobeying’ Vatican instructions. Whoever still falls for this charade is to be pitied.
By the way, when it comes to blessing sinful unions, Francis leads by example. Recall, for instance, his blessing of the adulterous union of the ‘divorced-and-remarried’ Colombian president and his mistress in 2017:
The prophet Isaias has stern words for our times: “Woe to you that call evil good, and good evil: that put darkness for light, and light for darkness: that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter” (Isaias 5:20).
Is anyone in the Vatican listening?
