In case you missed our initial announcement on July 28: We have published another full-length episode of our popular TRADCAST podcast program. As always, it is loaded with real traditional Catholicism, insightful commentary, hard-hitting refutations of various errors, and razor-sharp analysis. Our content is typically challenging but is always delivered in an accessible way — and with an occasional relieving touch of humor, so necessary in our chaotic and bizarre times.

The first segment of TRADCAST 036 begins with a description of an ecclesiastical deja vu, noting the eerie similarities between the situation today and that of the 1960s. It seems as if Bergoglio (‘Pope Francis’) is trying to replay John XXIII’s aggiornamento, but this time even further removed from Catholicism, taking Vatican II to the next level. We then delve into an article Robert Morrison wrote for The Remnant, in which he seriously argues that the Holy Ghost protected the Church during Vatican II, not by preventing the council from teaching error, but by making it teach error in an obvious way. After that, we go through and critically reflect on a number of crazy news stories you may have missed, including one about an ecumenical requiem service for a melting glacier in Germany.

The second portion of TRADCAST 036 starts with Francis’ incredibly deep message to World Youth Day pilgrims, straight “from the Jorge’s Mouth”, before we talk about his upcoming trip to Mongolia and the October Synod on Synodality in Rome. We then review the ‘Bellarmine moment’ arguments of Remnant editor Michael Matt and finish with a critique of how Dr. Peter Kwasniewski has attempted to bring an Eastern Orthodox convert back into the Vatican II Church.

If you are new to this program, you will find that listening to TRADCAST is like drinking from a firehose of information. As always, the podcast is interlaced with interesting and important insights, powerful quotes from solid Catholic sources, and amusing moments of levity! The total run time of TRADCAST 036 is 1 hour and 21 minutes.
