The ‘Peripheries’ strike back…
Francis Receives Blasphemous Gift of Christ Crucified on Hammer & Sickle
UPDATE 10-JUL-2015 07:45 UTC: The fallout from Francis’ acceptance of the blasphemous Communist “crucifix” has been tremendous. Various claims that Francis rebuked the Bolivian President, telling him “That’s not right”, are FALSE. For the full story, see our FOLLOW-UP POST:
[ORIGINAL POST:]
If you were looking for that last straw with Francis, let this be your official notice: It has arrived.
While visiting the nation of Bolivia as part of his South America tour, “Pope” Francis met with the country’s socialist president, Evo Morales. “Reaching out to the peripheries” is what Francis calls this, although, of course, this never results in the conversion of the peripheries but in the peripheries’ conversion of Catholics. On Wednesday, July 8, the socialist Morales did what perhaps no head of state before him had ever dared to do so visibly: He gave the “Pope” a blasphemous gift: a “crucifix” depicting our Lord Jesus Christ nailed to a hammer and sickle, the two mail symbols of atheistic and tyrannical Communism. The picture above shows Francis receiving the gift with a smile, although, just for the sake of full disclosure, there are some images that show him with a look of “concern” on his face. Yet, videos of the event, below, make clear that Francis accepted the blasphemy happily and serenely, with no sign of protest, shock, or displeasure:
The blasphemous crucifix is a replica of the original reportedly made by the Jesuit (!) Fr. Luis Espinal (d. 1980). Communism is an anti-Christian ideology that is the very antithesis of Catholicism. Communism and socialism were condemned by Pope Leo XIII in his landmark encyclical Rerum Novarum (1891) and by Pope Pius XI in his encyclical Divini Redemptoris (1937).
These days Francis is concerned, of course, with “real” threats to the Faith and humanity: like using too much air conditioning, loneliness suffered by some of the elderly, and youths not finding enough work. Who’s got time for teaching the Catholic Faith or condemning blasphemy, a direct attack against God and the worst of all sins?
For Francis, however, this is nothing new — he is no stranger to blasphemy. We recall that in 2013 he accepted an occult “crucifix” that was as hideous as it was diabolical; he himself likes to use the “Bent Cross” crozier of Paul VI; and in general he seems to like everything that is somehow ugly and twisted. After a blasphemous exhibition in Buenos Aires, then-“Cardinal” Bergoglio counseled his people to respond not with righteous anger but instead with “tenderness”, something he certainly displayed in the presence of President Morales. And in 2010, a biography of Jorge Bergoglio was published in which he tells a joke that has the Crucifixion of Christ as its punchline. No wonder his favorite painting is a Talmudic-Jewish rendition of the Crucifixion, which contains blasphemy against Jesus Christ. And when it comes to being in the presence of Jews, Francis is only too happy to hide the cross lest they be offended at the sight of their loving Redeemer, who suffered so much for them. Remember this one? (Details here)
This is a good time to recall that in the Modernist Vatican II Church, direct and indirect blasphemies are not rare as the “rights and dignity of man” are constantly used to silence the rights and dignity of God (cf. Pope Leo XIII, Encyclical Tametsi, n. 13):
- May 1999: John Paul II kisses Muslim Koran, which blasphemes Christ
- February 1993: John Paul II praises Voodoo Religion
- October 1986: John Paul II holds first Assisi Interreligious Prayer for Peace Meeting
- September 1978: John Paul I quotes Satanist during Angelus Address
We also remember Bishop Fulton Sheen’s 1948 prediction about a future Counter-Church that would emerge and ape the Catholic Church but with a new, false gospel, tied to Communism:
The good news is, ladies and gentlemen, that Francis is not a valid Pope of the Catholic Church but an impostor. No, he’s not simply a “bad” Pope, of which we’ve had a number in Church history, but a non-Pope, a non-Catholic, and a non-Christian. We have collected all the evidence for you in one handy set of links at the following page:
Remember these things next time you hear the two-faced Francis talk about how we must “witness” to Christ and “bring the Gospel” to the peripheries. Every chance he gets, he spits Christ in the face. This is the true Francis.
Meanwhile, Jimmy Akin better get ready… It’s going to be a tough day for “Catholic Answers”…
