Amoris Laetitia in Action…

Francis blesses Adulterous Union of Colombian President

While visiting Colombia Sep. 6-10, “Pope” Francis naturally met with the nation’s president, Juan Manuel Santos Calderón. Santos is civilly “married” to María Clemencia Rodríguez Múnera. This is the second “marriage” for both of them. Santos’ first/only wife is Silvia Amaya Londoño (source), and Rodríguez’ first/only husband is Christian Toro Ibler (source).

In other words, their current union is adulterous. That is the clear, certain, and irreversible (ha!) position of the Roman Catholic Church.

On Sep. 10, Rodríguez sent a tweet which included a short video clip that shows Francis giving a blessing to her and her supposed “husband” (not that Francis is actually capable of giving a valid blessing — but that’s beside the point here). In the tweet, Rodríguez addresses Francis, saying: “Su Santidad, gracias por bendecir nuestro matrimonio” (“Your Holiness, thank you for blessing our marriage”).

Here is a screenshot of the tweet:

We have taken the liberty of extracting the video from the tweet and uploading it to YouTube. You can watch the 12-second clip here:

For those readers of our blog who are not Catholic and do not believe that “remarriage” after divorce is adulterous, please understand that this isn’t even the central issue here. The main point is that the Catholic Church calls such unions adulterous and Francis claims to be a Catholic — the Pope even! So Francis has just blessed what he himself acknowledges is adultery.

For a long time now the Novus Ordo Modernists have tried to find a way around these clear words of God Himself: “Thou shalt not commit adultery” (Ex 20:14). Francis is on record blasting those who uphold this divine law (which, incidentally, admits of absolutely no exceptions whatsoever), as being “pharisaical”, totally overlooking the fact that it was the Pharisees who advocated for divorce and remarriage, whereas it was Christ the Lord who did away with the Mosaic Law and reinstituted the indissolubility of marriage for the New Covenant (see Mt 19:3-12).

Although they pay lipservice to the indissolubility and sacredness of holy matrimony, the false popes of the Vatican II Sect have undermined it in practice by handing out marriage annulments like popcorn, and Francis himself has recently made it even easier to obtain declarations of nullity. Since this was apparently not enough yet to destroy the Christian family, Francis in April of last year issued his infernal document Amoris Laetitia, in which he teaches that adultery is sometimes not only permitted but in fact commanded by God (see Amoris Laetitia, n. 303).

Now Francis has doubled down on his heretical blasphemy by blessing the adulterous union of the Colombian president and his mistress.

That should finally answer the dubia, no?

    Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble.
Who believes as Christ and His Church?
Not VII. Not the post-Trent library of ‘facts’.
Even the elect will be deceived.

What’s clear is he blessed them…that’s not only ok but rather appropriate…it sure doesn’t look like any kind of witnessing of a marriage or a church blessing…

No, it’s not appropriate to bless them as a couple because their union is adulterous. No one is claiming this is the witnessing of a marriage. I don’t know what a “church” blessing is supposed to be, as opposed to a non-church blessing. Rodriguez herself was there, and she has said in public that Francis blessed their “marriage”. If that isn’t what happened, then the Vatican now has an obligation to deny it.

As NOW said, he blessed them as a couple.
It would be ok for a priest, which Bergoglio isn’t, to bless an individual who was living in an adulterous union, under certain circumstances – not just any circumstance would be ok, because a priest should not bless an individual who is determined to keep on offending God by mortal sin, but even an adulterous person could be blessed in a situation where, for example, they were in the process of reforming their life and returning to obedience to God’s law, or if they were among many people in a church, then obviously a priest would bless those gathered, without singling out the individual.
But here, Bergoglio has specifically “blessed” two people living in adultery, with both of them present together, and the “blessing” was intended for them only and not a crowd.

That is without doubt a mortally sinful action of scandal and approval of sin.

Looks bad, but was Bergoglio aware that this was a fake marriage? The tweet after the event doesn’t prove anything. I can’t stand Francis, but I want to criticize him only with great accuracy — not that there is a shortage of things to criticize him for.

Burke is neither a priest (having been ordained in the new rite) nor a bishop (having been consecrated in the new rite). I would suggest you look a little deeper into Burke.
