Vatican extends courtesy to Lefebvrists…

Church of Inclusion:
SSPX Pilgrimage Listed in Vatican Jubilee Calendar

The Novus Ordo Church is currently in the midst of a jubilee year, which opened on Dec. 24 of last year and will conclude this coming Jan. 6. It is being observed under the motto Peregrinantes in Spem (“Pilgrims of Hope”). The silliness of its logo is matched only by the creepiness of its mascot:

‘Pope’ Francis, at whose direction the 2025 Jubilee was put together, had been advocating for a ‘Big Tent’ Church for years — his motto was “everyone, everyone, everyone!” — and so it is perhaps not terribly surprising that the official Vatican jubilee calendar for 2025 includes an entry also for the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX), the traditionalist organization founded by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre (1905-1991):

As the conservative Novus Ordo Catholic Herald reports:

The Vatican’s official Jubilee 2025 calendar is currently listing a pilgrimage by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (SSPX), with the occasion marking a rare moment of visible accord following long-running tensions between SSPX and the Vatican.

According to the SSPX website for Great Britain, the pilgrimage on 21 August will include a public Rosary at Colle Oppio, a Solemn High Mass at 9.30 a.m., and a procession entering the Holy Door of the Archbasilica of St John Lateran.

(“SSPX pilgrimage for Jubilee endorsed by Vatican despite canonical dispute”, The Catholic Herald, Aug. 13, 2025)

The SSPX had its biggest clash with the Vatican in 1988, when Abp. Lefebvre and his associate Bp. Antonio de Castro Mayer consecrated four bishops against the explicit orders of ‘Pope’ John Paul II, whom they publicly accepted as a true Pope. The Vatican then declared that all six bishops involved had excommunicated themselves and accused the group of schism. In 2009, ‘Pope’ Benedict XVI unilaterally rescinded the excommunications for the four surviving bishops. Although ‘Pope’ Francis granted faculties for confessions and marriages to the SSPX in 2015, the organization has never been received back into ‘full communion’ with the Modernist-occupied ‘Holy See’. Their official status at present remains irregular, with the Vatican sending mixed signals now and then.

We would like to congratulate the Lefebvrists on their inclusion on the Vatican’s 2025 jubilee calendar. In that regard, the SSPX has now reached the same status as La Tenda di Gionata, an Italian association well known for its acceptance and promotion of sexual perversion (see also this flyer here).

The Tenda di Gionata‘s ‘pilgrimage’ is scheduled for Sep. 6:

Last year, the inclusion of the LGBTQ rainbow group had caused a stir already, and the entry was then removed — only to reappear later, as we now know:

It seems that slowly but surely, Francis’ dream is coming true: a false Big Tent Church welcoming everyone, everyone, everyone!

Even the Lefebvrists.
