Because ‘culture’, you see!

Austrian Novus Ordo Parish Shows Live-Streamed Nude ‘Powder Dance’ in Church Sanctuary

Bad Ischl is a small town in Upper Austria. For 2024, it has been designated as one of Europe’s so-called ‘Capitals of Culture’. In that capacity, special cultural and artistic events will be taking place there all year. Its grand opening occurred this past Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024.

Bad Ischl’s ‘Catholic’ church is that of St. Nikolaus, whose pastor is one ‘Fr.’ Christian Öhler (b. 1958). Part of the diocese of Linz, the chief Novus Ordo shepherd keeping watch over it all is ‘Bp.’ Manfred Scheuer (b. 1955).

Now, secular culture in our age being what it is, it was clear from the get-go that there wasn’t much to expect from the cultural grand opening. However, what was actually put on in the final performance was so lewd, grotesque, and scandalous that one didn’t have to be a traditional Catholic to recognize it for the filth and trash it was.

We are talking about a so-called ‘powder dance’ that was being performed on stage, in which adult men and women applied copious amounts of baby powder to themselves (and each other) while not wearing any clothes at all. ‘Culture is the new salt’ was the motto of the edifying event, by the way.

So far, so disgusting. This would not be a story for this web site, however, if there weren’t a ‘Catholic’ connection.

It turns out that the Rev. Ohler, the pastor of St. Nicholas, had decided to open his church for a livestream of this incredibly important cultural event. One may grant Mr. Ohler that he probably didn’t know there was going to be a lewd powder dance with naked adults at the end, but his subsequent behavior shows that he ‘might as well’ have known because he (a) did not cancel the livestream when the salacious dance was being shown; (b) did not apologize afterwards; and (c) trivialized and defended the scandalous event by (d) uttering a blasphemy.

According to the German-language kath.net news portal, which references a full report published by the Austrian news site OÖNachrichten (OÖN):

The ‘powder dance’ was also projected live onto a screen in the city parish church of Bad Ischl — not a problem for the pastor there, Christian Öhler, because according to OÖN, he informs us nonchalantly: “Jesus is the man most frequently depicted as naked.”

(Source; our translation.)

There is really no need for comment, is there? Had ‘Fr.’ Ohler offered Mass according to the 1962 Missal instead, there’s a good chance the ‘bishop’ would have stepped in already to discipline the wayward prelate.

That St. Nikolaus’ church is a gorgeous 18th-century edifice and not one of those hideous Novus Ordo spaceship buildings, goes without saying. As can be seen in the title image above, the screen onto which the lewd play was projected hung in the main sanctuary right above the high altar and tabernacle.

The false shepherds of the Vatican II Sect make it very easy to recognize that they are not Catholics, that they hate all that is holy and sacred, that they mock Jesus Christ, that theirs is a false church, and that they have taken over the Catholic holy places and set up the abomination of desolation in them. Yet, so many people still refuse to see what is right in front of them.

“And when you shall see the abomination of desolation, standing where it ought not: he that readeth let him understand: then let them that are in Judea, flee unto the mountains” (Mk 13:14).

It is time to abandon the Vatican II Sect and ‘flee to the mountains’ where true Catholicism is still preached and practiced.
