Latvian Novus Ordo Bishops ask Parliament to Legalize Sodomite Civil Unions

You may remember that back in October, the apostate Antipope Jorge Bergoglio (“Francis”) made waves when it was revealed that he was personally in favor of governments establishing legal protections for sodomite couples (so-called “civil unions”) as a kind of juridical equivalent to the protections and privileges granted to the married. This resulted in a veritable firestorm of controversy and protest among those in the Vatican II Church that retain even a modicum of Catholicism:

Francis’ remarks, however “inofficial” they may have been, have naturally emboldened the homo lobby and have increased the philosophical and theological confusion of those weaned on the theology of Vatican II.
But now an Eastern European Novus Ordo archbishop and his band of brothers have managed to one-up the Frankster: Instead of merely responding favorably to a legal change proposed by the militant homo lobby, they have decided to “lead by example” and take the initiative themselves to undermine what is left of the natural law in their country.
Mr. Zbignev Stankevics is the Archlayman of Riga, Latvia. He was appointed to the position by “Pope” Benedict XVI in 2010. According to a report by the Italian La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana, “Abp.” Stankevics
personally asked, or rather urged, the national parliament on 15 December last, so that a form of legal recognition for homosexual couples and unmarried [heterosexual] couples might be introduced as soon as possible: “We must put aside all ideologies and create a real legal framework that protects all members of society,” the prelate declared during a parliamentary hearing. A strong statement, also because it came immediately after the ruling, issued in November, with which the Constitutional Court had already distinguished between “family” and “marriage”, explaining that, in its opinion, they are not synonymous: the first term would include a very wide range of relationships, although in Latvia, for now, the Constitution still defines “marriage” exclusively as the “union between a man and a woman.”
In the face of this, the ostentatiously “inclusive” words of Msgr. Stankevics sound like a sort of long-awaited final placet also from the Church: “We must try to unite society, not divide it,” insisted the prelate….

So Mr. Stankevics believes that the Roman Catholic Faith is one of those “ideologies” that must be “put aside” lest, we may assume, the “dignity of man” be offended!
As outrageous as this poppycock is, it is entirely consistent with the program of destruction begun by “Pope” John XXIII and currently overseen by Francis. The reasoning must be: If we’re already tearing down the last vestiges of Christendom and Catholicism, why not accelerate the pace and ask the secular authority to help out? Ever since Amoris Laetitia and its author’s call to allow sodomite couples to have “their” children baptized and educated “in the Church”, what’s the point of them pretending to resist the secularist onslaught on Catholic morals? Might as well cut to the chase…
Of course Mr. Stankevics also wants legal protections for heterosexual fornicators. This is only consistent, for at least their sin doesn’t cry to heaven for vengeance and is clearly less unworthy of being recognized legally. Besides, as “Pope” Francis has told the world, if cohabiting couples sin long enough with the same partner, their unlawful union will magically turn into a real marriage! Remember?
In other words, perpetual sin is really virtue! Welcome to the theology of Jorge Bergoglio!
Novus Ordo apologists will be quick to run to Mr. Stankevics’ rescue and point out that the “Archbishop” of Riga has stated that he is, of course, not at all calling into question Catholic doctrine or the natural law, which he refers to as merely a “concept” that has been handed down to us: “We are not questioning the concept of the traditional family, but we are talking about mechanisms to protect these relationships, even between people of the same sex, which are outside the control of the traditional definition of marriage”, La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana quotes the archlayman further.
Good to know — that changes everything! It is perhaps a bit like Pontius Pilate declaring that he has found no guilt in Jesus Christ and “therefore” he will have Him scourged (see Lk 23:14-16).
Lest anyone think that Stankevics was alone in his brazen appeal to his nation’s parliament, La Nuova reports that “he was immediately echoed by the Latvian Bishops’ Conference itself, which in a letter to President Egils Levits and to the President of the National Parliament, Inara Murniece, asked not to change the legal definition of marriage, but also asked to legalize other forms of relationships.”
Because sinful unions, even of the unnatural kind, must be protected by law, right? Because, if we were to discourage such unions by socially spurning them, then…. what?
Ah, but the Latvian pseudo-bishops want to “unite society, not divide it”! Because unity is to be desired at all costs, right? Let’s see:
Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword. For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s enemies shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me.

Bear not the yoke with unbelievers. For what participation hath justice with injustice? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Ladies and gentlemen, under the leadership of Mr. Stankevics, the Latvian Novus Ordo bishops have made history. Never before has the supposed “Catholic episcopate” of a nation been the vanguard of changing the law in favor of people who habitually practice that for which God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah of old (see Gen 18-19; Jude 7). No doubt there is a special place in hell for “bishops” like that.
Or perhaps Mr. Stankevics is merely trying to get noticed as a man after Bergoglio’s heart. With such sterling credentials, the fake pope may just appoint him to the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Laity, Family, and Life.
In any case, the gay lobby in Latvia should be ashamed. The Novus Ordo bishops beat them to the punch!
…Unless, of course, they are the Latvian homo lobby.
