Part 3

Most Rev. Mark A. Pivarunas

As part of their ongoing broadcast series “From the Pulpit,” our friends at The Restoration Radio Network are making available a very informative 3-part sermon by His Excellency, Bishop Mark Pivarunas, CMRI, on the ways in which Satan is trying to deceive even the elect, as warned by our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 24:24: “For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect.”

The following description of Part 3 of Bp. Pivarunas’ sermon is adapted from Restoration Radio:

Bishop Pivarunas compares the Council of Vatican I to that of Vatican II. One of the issues discussed in Vatican I was the issue of papal infallibility. Pope Pius IX addressed the issue and defined papal infallibility during Vatican I.

What is laid out in this episode is especially important to know in order to determine whether the “Popes” of today are merely expressing opinions that do not fall within the scope of papal infallibility, or if they are preaching heresy, and by their teachings prove they cannot be true Popes.

Bishop Pivarunas continues this episode by exploring the truth behind the alleged “heretical Popes” of the past, discovering whether these Popes were indeed heretics or not.

This mini-series is concluded by Bishop Pivarunas exploring the two aspects of infallibility and how Christ established the Catholic Church and the Papacy within the Church, sharing quotes from various books on the matter.

A great companion piece to this sermon broadcast is our post on Cardinal Manning and his predictions, based on his research of the Church Fathers and approved theologians, of how the Great Apostasy will unfold and prepare the way for the Antichrist, as well as a few other posts we have recently published related to this subject:
