Bergoglio again trashes Holy Mass…
Francis: Traditional Latin Mass just a “Fad” that “doesn’t need much Attention”
It’s just a “fad”, folks…
By way of the Rorate Caeli blog, news is reaching us today of something the “Holy Father” reportedly said Feb. 14, 2014, in an audience with the Novus Ordo bishops of the Czech Republic. The “Archbishop” of Olomouc, Mr. Jan Graubner, relates the following:
When we were discussing those who are fond of the ancient liturgy and wish to return to it, it was evident that the Pope speaks with great affection, attention, and sensitivity for all in order not to hurt anyone. However, he made a quite strong statement when he said that he understands when the old generation returns to what it experienced, but that he cannot understand the younger generation wishing to return to it. “When I search more thoroughly – the Pope said – I find that it is rather a kind of fashion. And if it is a fashion, therefore it is a matter that does not need that much attention. It is just necessary to show some patience and kindness to people who are addicted to a certain fashion. But I consider greatly important to go deep into things, because if we do not go deep, no liturgical form, this or that one, can save us.”
(“Important: Pope Francis on Feb. 14: ‘Old Mass? Just a kind of fashion!”, Rorate Caeli, Feb. 15, 2014)
Yes, you see, it’s all just a “fad” among youngsters in their teens and twenties, one for which we must “show some patience”, as though it were an evil to be tolerated for now. Unlike World Youth Day, we suppose. Or Bergoglio’s own “Tango Mass”. Or the “Rock Mass”. Or the Novus Ordo Missae in general, the “New Mass”, which was pulled out of heretical thin air in the 1960s to destroy the Holy Catholic Mass of all ages, the Mass of countless saints and martyrs, that is, the Traditional Latin Mass.
Poor Mr. Zuhlsdorf. He’s going to have a tough time “reading Francis through Benedict” on this one, as Benedict XVI at least pretended to love the Traditional Latin Mass. Let’s see if “Father Z” will find enough time in his busy blogging schedule to ignore this story.
Meanwhile, Tom Droleskey has posted an excellent and informative commentary demonstrating that by calling the Traditional Mass but a “fashion”, Francis is simply saying explicitly what Benedict XVI and John Paul II have long said before him:
Under Francis, the impiety and apostasy of the Novus Ordo Sect are merely becoming more explicit.
