Have you been misled by The Remnant or other semi-trads about the 'human element' of the Church? Here's Fr. William Barry, writing in the 19th century: https://archive.org/details/SacramentalsOfTheHolyCatholic1879/page/n41/mode/2up #catholic #catholictwitter
So this is how 'Catholic Answers' speaks about the Son of God... https://www.catholic.com/audio/caf/does-god-change-his-mind "Dude"! St. Peter called Him "Master"! (see Lk 8:45) #catholic #catholictwitter
#PopeFrancis in catechesis of Nov. 22, regarding Our Lord and the Canaanite woman: "Not only does someone make Jesus change his mind ... but the Lord himself finds confirmation that his preaching should not be limited to the people to whom he belongs, but open to all." #catholic
Re the pope's actions vs Card. Burke, one Italian paper cited a high ranking prelate speaking of “some steps of an economic nature, accompanied by canonical penalties". The "economic" refers to the stipend/housing. What are the "canonical penalties"!? 👇
So, is the Gospel for all people or not? Post-Catholic Vatican can't decide. https://novusordowatch.org/2021/09/vatican-rabbis-old-law-salvation-for-jews/ #popefrancis
How about that! Francis says "it is precisely confrontation and criticism that help us to preserve theology from being transformed into ideology" - https://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/audiences/2023/documents/20231129-udienza-generale.html #popefrancis
The apostasy we're witnessing is no accident: It's the direct result of Vatican II's departure from the perennial Catholic Faith, and everything the council engendered, especially the “New Mass” of Paul VI, officially introduced in 1969.
Francis at today's audience quotes himself: "...our own formulations of faith are the fruit of dialogue and encounter among cultures, communities and various situations" - https://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/audiences/2023/documents/20231129-udienza-generale.html Maybe in *his* religion... #catholictwitter #popefrancis
Flawed article. The Pope certainly has the *power* to remove any bishop at will, even if he sins doing it. No one has the right to judge Pope's removal of a bishop. The Apostles all had universal jurisdiction, but only St. Peter was able to pass his on to his successors (Popes).
